Cute, comfortable, clean and self-contained -10 minutes walk to Mt. Paku summit

Mt Paku is one of Tairua's most stunning senic locations, with breathtaking summit views, walks and birdlife what more could you ask for, relax away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. Enjoy the surroundings while you unwind with your favourite glass of wine, while the kids play in the outside bath (bubble bath supplied) and Dad works the the BBQ for dinner…life couldn't be better.

The decked area is perfect for entertaining, reading or if you like when the suns gone down and the fairy lights are on take a relaxing bath and listen for our local Ruru (Morepork) while doing some star gazing.

The outdoor shower is a must after a long day at the beach.

Children's toys available for wet days entertaining also a large trampoline for some sunny outdoor fun.

Spades for the beach/Hot Water beach supplied (X2)

The Little Shed is perfect for a couple or a small family's getaway.

Pets welcome with prior approval (2 large but very friendly dog lives on premises along with 1 curious cat.

Our pre-summer weekend escape

My partner and I really enjoyed our three night stay. The hosts have done an excellent job with the presentation of the property and have created a really cool relaxed holiday vibe. We would love to stay again sometime.

Fun Kiwi Bach on the hill!

Great little bach, everything you need. Very private and quiet street. Up on the hill, but super close to lots of beaches and plenty of places to take your dog for a walk. The only thing would to be aware of is its not fenced in (if you have a dog) - but we kept our little guy on a leash which is totally fine! definitely recommend

Lovely stay at a cute and unique bach

This is a lovely little Bach on Mt Paku, My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!It matches the pictures and is so quirky and unique, full of shells and trinkets and other cool things inside and out. I loved the windows that opened on the leafy wall. The shed is small (a single car garage plus the separate bathroom) but it has absolutely everything you’d need, including shovels for hot water beach and wifi. There’s also a barbecue, burner, pots and pans, games and dvds. It was also very clean and Matt and Donna were lovely. It was a bit tight to sleep in the upper bunk as an adult, and the outdoor shower and bath are a bit visible from part of their balcony (not that I saw anyone on it). The location is great although it’s a steep hill to get down to the marina. I would definitely recommend laying on the hammock or in the bathroom and listening to the birds, there’s were so many Tuis and smaller birds, and once it was fully dark we heard a morepork! Overall great place to stay!

The perfect weekend getaway!

Was absolutely blown away by our stay here! The little details of the shed were incredible. It was so so so much better than the photos. So cosy and comfy but felt luxurious too. Matt and Donna have really thought of everything and done a fabulous job creating this place. Our toddler ended up fracturing his leg on the first day of our trip, Matt and Donna where so kind and helpful, even ran down with an ice pack. The shed was full to the brim with fun things to keep our little guy happy and entertained for the rest of the trip! An actual god send! Loved that we could bring our dog too as it’s no often he gets to come on holidays with us. He had so much fun sniffing around the property.

Clean, modern, lovely outdoor area. Excellent communication. From the photos it looks like you could be quite close to the owners house but it's actually really private. Would be good to have a listing of what is in the kitchen e.g. stove top, toaster (perhaps I missed it).

Best yet experience

This place has got to be a 10/10 for my partner and I. From the cleanliness of the place to the friendly host who was always there if we needed something but also gave us the privacy we were looking for for a little getaway . The outdoor bath made this property unique and the way it was set in the private bush setting was magical. The place was stocked with everything we needed and was a ten as far as cleanliness goes as well . We look forward to another visit hopefully soon. Well done Donna , I could not fault you on anything 😊

Fabulous little shed

Immaculate and clean funky little cottage hosts were awesome especially when we ran into a little problem of our making. Outdoor bathtub is my dream bathroom. Even left us chocolate and wine to enjoy our stay. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Fabulous stay in Tairua

Have just had a fantastic week long stay in the little shed with our family of 4. Donna and her family are lovely and welcoming. The accomodation is very well appointed, comfortable and spacious considering the size. The location is amazing and very central for day trips around the Coromandel. We are really looking forward to returning again soon.

Beautiful spot

Fantastic location, very friendly hosts. Difficult it to find pet friendly accomodation but this was perfect for my the two of us and our Labrador. Very cosy well equipped and the outdoor bath is a great treat.
