A Quiet, peaceful hideaway by the Waikato river.

Fully self-contained 2 bedroom unit complete with wood burner (wood burner is available from May to September only) and electric heater for those brisk Taupo winters. Peaceful sheltered surroundings, relaxing environment, all you need for a great breakaway from a busy life. There are views of the Waikato River from the bedroom window and a walking/bike track nearby that leads to Spa Park where the adventure begins. Taupo CBD is approx 20min walk and 5min drive. Linen and bedding is provided. There is another unit attached that may be occupied at the same time. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS UNIT MEETS YOUR REQUIREMENTS BEFORE BOOKING. Special conditions: NO smoking or vaping on premises. NOTE: Under Kiwi Bach tradition you are expected to leave the house tidy and clean and do the dishes and take out your rubbish before you leave. Please note that the service fee you pay at checkout is NOT a cleaning fee. This fee is for using the vrbo booking service and insurance policy they provide.

The location is perfect just above the river with access to walking trails to spa thermal park and Huka Falls trail. 20-30 minute walk into town. Cottage is well maintained and clean. Quiet with comfortable beds. Kitchen well equipped, including sharp knives. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Great little place

Super cozy place. The fireplace kept the place nice and warm for our June stay. Hosts are really helpful and friendly. This is a nice quiet corner of Taupo. Would definitely stay here again.

Sweet home on the riverside

Me and my small family of three thorougly enjoyed our stay here. Such beautiful views!My two year old was delighted to find the kids toys and books which kept him busy over the couple nights stay. This was a big bonus for us.The place was clean and tidy, and provided the comforts of tea, coffee and milk if needed.We stayed at the tail end of autumn, and probably coming into the cooler side of entering winter. Use of the fireplace would have been nice for us Aucklanders who found it a bit cold even with the heaater. Overall we had a great weekend away from home and would reccommend this sweet home on the riverside.

Gorgeous views, lovely hosts

We spent 2 nights here and would happily have stayed longer. Such a gorgeous outlook! The house was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The hosts were also lovely - very communicative and responsive. Would love to stay again.

Highly recommend

The property is located right next to the Waikato River, and is clean, amply furnished and comfortable - as described and was very pleased with the stay. The owners live there on premises and were responsive and helpful before and during my stay. I would return again with no reservations.

Lovely place to stay

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment.It was warm when we arrived, very welcoming The kitchen and lounge area was bigger than the photos showed which was nice. Big glass doors and windows made the most of the garden views - flowering plants, birds, with access to fabulous river views and walks.

Will stay again

Can't beat the location, the surroundings, the nice tidy space. One minute walk to the river, can jump on a trail that goes all the way to the big park nearby. Or just a few minutes' drive to the city centre. Next time I'm in Taupo I'll be looking to stay here!
