Our property offers a rural back drop within easy driving distance to Oakura Village with it art trials and beach. New Plymouth with renowned coastal walkway, Pukekura Park and Lyn Lye centre.

The cottage is within the garden close to owners modernise home dating back to 1900. Garden walks though establish native and exotic trees. new planting are being establish along stream and a redevelopment of the Lavender Garden are underway.

Extras: Linen (included); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave;

A good place

Unfortunately the cute chickens had left a deposit which was cleaned up just before we arrived. The hosts could explain a bit better about where the guests can walk, as they have a magnificent garden

Lovely short stay

Was a peaceful restful place to stay. Beautiful gardens and the chickens were lovely. The place was lovely and exceeded expectations.

Lovely peaceful spot to get away from the city

The gardens were beautiful and the host was very friendly. Enjoyed feeding the chooks. Would recommend this quiet Bach an location to anyone

Lovely little dwelling on an ex dairy farm. Quiet as. Some walks around the property. Friendly helpful hosts.

Nice quiet place in the country is exactly what we needed after an all day heavy metal gig in town. A great place to stay if you enjoy reading in the sunshine, tho I wasn’t around long enough to enjoy that aspect.

What an amazing place! We loved the stay, the quiet and truly beautiful surroundings. Thank you 😊

Loved having the chicken popping in to say hi and the little rabbits bouncing around outside. The gardens was like a true retreat and easy to get anywhere. Kathleen and Peter was amazing hosts and we will be back.

Peace and tranquillity

Lovely and quiet

Great little place, good location within easy reach of everything. Only downside would be the fact the bed squeeks every time you move Listing says there is a washer and dryer but there is not though this is apparently not theough lack of them trying to stop it from being on the list

Great escape

If you are wanting to stay in New Plymouth but would also like a feel like you are far from it all. This is a good place to stay. You may hear distressed animals though, so beware.

Amazing stay on a farm property, and accommodating of us despite a last minute booking. Make sure to verbally confirm check our times, as ours was incorrect and we were awoken with a rude confrontation about it. Otherwise, a lovely stay

Lovely quiet out of the way country cottage but close enough to New Plymouth for all the attractions. It was a well provided studio cottage for staying, even with no TV in it the stay was nice and relaxed and there was a lovely big gardens to walk around and small bush track. It does get hot with closed windows and watch out for a large amounts of moths wanting to get in at night, apart from these minor issues it is well worth the stay.

As it Says on the Tin

This is small, tidy property accommodation with lovely gardens to wander about in. Very quiet surrounds. It is just a few (10 minutes) from New Plymouth.
