Baird's Country Guesthouse
We're located on a peaceful and quiet property in the country. You'll be surrounded by farmland and forest.
We're centrally located in Eastern PEI (Kings County); Cardigan, Georgetown, Montague being 5 - 15 minutes away, downtown Charlottetown 30 minutes. Groceries, restaurants, parks, beaches, trails, and many activities are a short drive. Nearby golf courses: 10 minutes to Avondale, Brudenell and Dundarave, 30 minutes to Crowbush, 20 minutes to Fox Meadow.
Off season (Sept. - May) monthly discounts available. PM for details.
This home was completed in 2022. New King bed (2025). The house is air conditioned with a mini split for AC and heat. Covered deck for morning coffee/tea.
The house is 1100 square feet with a spacious 750 square foot wrap around porch/deck with a privacy fence. This guesthouse is located far enough from the main house to ensure guest privacy on the deck, at the barbeque, and firepit area.
The kitchen has everything that you need to prepare meals, a Keurig coffee machine, regular coffee maker, blender, slow cooker, air fryer, and toaster.
The house is heated and cooled with a mini split heat pump.

Bathroom has a comfort height toilet with a grab bar. Grab bar is also at the side of the bath/shower. "Bath-Shower seat" is available upon request.
There's a white noise machine for guest use. Play white noise for a great night's sleep. Blackout curtains in each bedroom. Each bedroom has a cooling fan.

World class beaches and restaurants are minutes away.
You are welcome to walk, jog, or explore our 50 acre property while visiting. Confederation Trail access is located 5 minutes away. You can download the map on the "tourism pei" website or explore the many nearby hiking and biking trails.
My husband and I live in the adjacent property. We give our guests privacy but are available upon request.
The lawn is cut once a week, between 10:00 am and 7 pm. Our garage is behind the guest house and we access it for routine home maintenance.
Cooking Fresh Fish:
We kindly ask that any freshly caught fish be cooked the same day it is caught. Cooking it the following day can create strong, lingering odors throughout the home.
If you plan to prepare fish, we encourage same-day cooking or using the barbeque.
Thank you for your understanding and helping us maintain a fresh and comfortable space for all guests.
Celiac-safe toaster is available upon request.
Maximum driveway speed: 15 km.
Please note: The main house has two exterior cameras. The Guest house has no security cameras. There is 100 feet between the two houses for guest privacy.

I live on site in the main house with my husband, Vincent. I have worked as an elementary teacher on PEI for 25 years and my husband is a Red Seal carpenter who works for the Public Schools Branch in Charlottetown. We have 3 grown children, 2 beautiful granddaughters and twin grandsons.

New Perth is central to Eastern PEI. We're 30 minutes to downtown Charlottetown and Montague, Cardigan, and Georgetown (Three Rivers Municipality) is minutes away. It's very rural, with Amish farmers and Island farmers as our neighbors. If you enjoy the peace and quiet of the country, you'll enjoy your stay with us.

We're located off a main highway (highway #3), yet set back in the woods, surrounded by forest and farm fields. Our small pond and stream that runs through the property is home to many ducks, geese, herons, and birds of prey.
