Relaxation awaits you in this spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath, tri-level retreat, situated on 2 private wooded acres. Located directly on the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, just 2 miles from Walker's Bluff Winery and 2.5 miles from shopping/restaurants, it's the perfect balance of town and country. Featuring a large theater room with multiple streaming services, as well as sleeping and dining accommodations for up to 13 people, it's perfect for families and large groups of all kinds!

- Theater room offers seating for 13 people, multiple streaming services, Blu Ray/DVD player, large DVD collection, and a surround sound stereo system with Bluetooth connection for streaming your favorite music from your smartphone or other devices.

- 2 King beds, 1 queen, 3 futons, and a comfy sectional couch provide sleeping accommodations for up to 14 guests.

- All bedrooms include flat screen TVs with either streaming service or DVD player, memory foam or pillow-top mattresses, dressers, clothing rods/hangers, mirrors, chairs, room darkening curtains, earplugs and ceiling fans.

- The master suite features a private bathroom with heat lamp, walk-in closet with full length mirror, baby crib, chair w/ side table/lamp, and a sliding glass door which exits onto a private 22-foot balcony with chaise loungers and a bistro dining set.

- The family room features a sitting area, upright piano, bookcase, and desk/workstation with wireless printer/scanner.

- Seated dining for up to 14 people (including 2 height chairs and collapsible banquet table), as well as a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and plenty of plates, glasses, utensils, and cookware. Toaster, coffee maker & coffee/sugar/creamer, seasonings and vegetable oil. Knife block, cutting board, cookbooks, bar wares/wine glasses/shot glasses, cleaning supplies, radio/CD player, and much more!

This beautiful property was great for our family and our two dogs who need separate spaces. The peaceful location on the edge of town was beautiful and peaceful. Communication with the owner was great.

Where to start? From the reservation to the checking out was very easy. There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room and more to spare. My kids ages 20, 20, and 13 loved the theater room, where the whole family could watch a movie together. The balcony off the master bedroom was perfect for the chilly mornings or late night relaxing. The kiddos loved having the porch downstairs so they could all visit. Loved the fact that shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and other necessities were provided, cause no matter what someone always forgets something. I just wish we would've had more time to stay and explore. We WILL be staying again!!!!

Cousin Reunion

This house was perfect for our purpose - a family gathering of our children and grandchildren from around the country for the first time since 2019. We cooked meals and hung out together as well as hiking at the state park, swimming at the splash park and visiting the local science center and Castle Park. Plenty of activities to keep kids busy. The house was very well equipped and stocked. We only had to shop for groceries and there were grocery stores just 10 minutes from the house. Some of us stayed in a hotel just a mile or so from the house. I would definitely recommend this house if you are not looking for something fancy, but want to spend time where you can cook, watch movies, etc.

Fishing trip near Carbondale

My impression of this property is very positive. Everything was as advertised, clean, and in good working order. The drive/lane to get to the property is somewhat restrictive, especially when pulling a boat. Communication with the property manager/owner was flawless and very helpful. For a quiet, conveniently located getaway I would highly recommend this property.

Carbondale family getaway

The house was as pictured. Very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We loved the theater room, which had movie channels and was very comfortable. Bedrooms were big and beds were comfortable. Close to hiking trails, restaurants and wineries. Contactless entry. We will definitely stay again!!!

hiking get away

We had planned to hike for a week in the Shawnee National Forest area. Unfortunately it rained a lot this week. We were thankful for the theater room. We spent part of rainy days watching movies and the teens played video games on the big screen. Vacation was not a washout because of rain.

Good place for a nice getaway

We enjoyed our stay. Used the firepit a couple of nights. The theater room was great and has a very comfy couch. The king bed in the master is also comfy. I would stay there again.
