It was an alright night away. Place was fairly clean, newer Reno for sure with some smaller kinks to be worked out. No wifi instructions and noises in the morning with occupants of the other side of the house. Neat spot for a little getaway for the night.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the space and that it worked well for a little getaway.
I appreciate you mentioning the small kinks. I apologize for the inconvenience with the Wi-Fi instructions—those have now been made more visible for future guests. I’m also sorry for the morning noise; I’ll continue working on improving soundproofing so guests can have a more peaceful stay.
Thank you again for staying and for the helpful comments. You're welcome back anytime!

Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Positives: Host was very communicative and polite. Quick to respond to inquiries. Clean place for the most part. Negatives: Did not realize the rental space was attached to the home of the host. Could hear everything, their barking dog, talking, banging, etc. Felt like we had no privacy. Window did not open for fresh air. Holes in walls and shower handles were loose attached to shower wall. Hoses and walking hazards to avoid outside. We understand the need for security cameras in certain areas, but some were in places that made us uncomfortable. Pointed at the deck and firepit of the rental space, that were basically the main reason we selected this rental. So we did not get to enjoy the outdoor space we had, as we did not feel comfortable being on camera while trying to enjoy a fire, BBQ our food, and just sit and relax. Overall experience was not as expected or what we felt was advertised. We've not come across issues like this with other rentals. If just needing a relatively clean place to slee, planning on being gone during the day, with no desire to sit and relax on the deck or by the fire without being watched on camera, this would be an adequate place to rent, within driving distance to many attractions of the Pickering area.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m glad to hear that communication met your expectations and that you found the space clean. I truly appreciate those comments.
I’m very sorry, however, that several aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. I want to address each concern:
Noise & Privacy:
The suite is a separate rental unit attached to the main home. This is why it’s listed as a “Guesthouse”. The unit has a completely private entrance, deck and yard. This home sits on a large 2.5 acre property with lots of privacy. I’m also taking steps to further reduce noise transfer so guests can feel more comfortable and private.
Outdoor Area & Safety:
The hose you mentioned runs to the firepit. Guests use the hose to put out the fire when they are done using it to avoid any fire related accidents.
Security Cameras:
The cameras are exterior-only and placed for security of the property, and guests. There are only two cameras. One at the main entrance and one looking towards the firepit. This is for the safely of our guests in case there is an accident with the fire.
I regret that your overall stay wasn’t what you expected, and I appreciate the thoughtful detail in your review. Feedback like yours is very valuable and helps me improve the experience for future guests.
Thank you again, and I wish you all the best in your future travels.
