Very beautiful home. The boat dock is nearly impossible to make it there. You have to climb around 4 stories of stairs. Its a great view on the water but unless your physically fit you wont make it to the dock. Something i wish i would have known because our parents wanted to fish. Only other issue is not enough pots, pans, serving spoons for a home that holds alot of people. We did Thanksgiving dinner and it was hard because of the shortage. Other than that everything else was great and we enjoyed our stay.
You can see here how far down dock is. Its a huge hill to climb on steep steps

The house itself was very nice and comfortable and had a beautiful view. However, there was an ant problem inside on the countertops that invested our food. Lots of dead bugs and spider webs inside the house and did not seem to have been cleaned in a while. Several light bulbs out throughout the house. The boat dock was a very hard decline/ incline walk to get to from and back to the house. The stairs were dangerous and slippery with no hand rails. The pictures posted made it seem like it was an easy walk from the backyard when it was more of a very steep slope.

Amazing!

This is the best stay in the area. Home is beautiful and the view of the lake is spectacular! Only regret is not staying here sooner. Felt right at home. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Everything you need is in the home. Our family can not wait to return!

Thanksgiving at the Lake

We had a great week away at the Lake House. The living areas in the house are large and the kitchen is enormous. We were able to prepare our Thanksgiving meal without any problems. I did not find the house to be as clean as the reviews said. All of the couches had been cleaned in place and there was dust and crumbs underneath. Another problem was the mosquitos when we arrived. The entire deck and front of the house was covered in mosquitos. We had to drive quite a distance to a hardware store to buy perimeter spray to take care of it. Luckily they had a hosepipe so we could do it ourselves or else our entire stay would have been ruined. We chose this house because of the outside area and the lake views. The hot tub was clean and warm. The distance from the house to the dock is very steep so would not be suitable for elderly people if they want to fish. Walking down the road was the best route, the stairs are very steep and don't have a hand railing. All in all we had a great relaxing week and loved the fishing and seeing the bald eagles in the pine trees. It was very peaceful and quiet.

Perfect spot for relaxing

Wonderful house with a fantastic deck. We spent hours just enjoying morning coffee and evening drinks while talking, laughing and enjoying the amazing view of the deck. The kitchen had everything we needed, the living room had plenty of comfortable seating, and the beds were comfortable. I reached out to the host with a couple of questions and received prompt helpful responses. Looking forward to visiting again!

Great Lake trip

The house and dock are fantastic, beautiful home and view of the lake. The walk to the dock is definitely rugged but we made dozens of trips to fish and enjoy the lake. We would love to visit this home again

Great getaway location

So good we almost don't want to tell anyone about it. But really, this hidden gem was the perfect home in the perfect location for us. We had a wonderful time there and it felt like a home away from home.

This is our 2nd time staying in it because the men love to fish down there by the boat doc. I do recommended more pots with lids to cook with, but we love the house and the view, everything was wonderful. Thank you

Excellent!

We had a wonderful weekend on the lake at this house! The property was in excellent condition and is exactly as described. The inside is spacious and the back deck was perfect for hanging out. I would definitely recommend this place for larger groups.

Beautiful view and property

We had a great time getting together over Thanksgiving. Well appointed, clean, and so much room to spread out for our family of 11. Had a small bump at the beginning, but owner was quick to resolve and so helpful. Double oven space was a big plus!

Excelent get away

The photos in this listing do not do the property justice. The kitchen is huge, bedrooms all have a nice view, bathrooms are perfect. This is a very peaceful, comfortable and clean home. We shared a family get away with 8 adults and we had plenty of room. We highly recommend this property as a perfect retreat.

Amazing Anniversary Weekend

Our entire family celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at this beautiful property. The house is awesome, with a very spacious kitchen and living area, extremely clean, and a beautiful view of the lake from the back deck. The pathway to the boat house is a little steep and takes a few minutes to get there, just as described, but very doable. Fishing from the dock was fun for the guys. Katie was very easy to contact and very gracious in answering any question I had quickly. I highly recommend this rental!

Lake mini-resort

Beautiful house, secluded area, fabulous view. The property was clean, well maintained and the area was very quiet. We're a middle-aged couple that wanted a quiet week with a lake view and we got it! The beds were comfortable. The large kitchen was well equipped. We loved the deck but it was simply too hot the week we were there to enjoy it much. Overall, a great property.

Lake House Only

The house was great with a beautiful view. But to be honest I am very very disappointed with the dock and land. The you tube video is misleading and need to be updated. My family and I make a family vacation to Toledo Bend every year to go fishing. We bought fishing license and could not even get to the dock. It was a jungle and would not even attempt to bring my grand babies down there. So we didn’t even put a fishing pole in our hands. Something I look forward to every year. Also we stayed outside most of the time and all we smelled was sewerage. Not pleasant at all. But the house itself was spacious and beautiful. I would tell people if they going to relax and just look at the view it would be ok. But if you think you going to go fishing on the dock you can forget it. You may hurt yourself getting down there. Also on the dock it had a board missing and the just laid another piece of wood on top which is not nailed down and could trip or even your foot could go through. Would not want anyone to get hurt. My son went down there to check everything out and told us it was no way it was safe to even attempt. I have to be honest for other because the you tube video of the grounds is so misleading. Thank you but I would not rent this place again.

Nice house on the lake

Everything about the house was great, hot tub was nice and relaxing at night. Boat house on the water made swimming fun for the kids. My only issue was the walk down to the boathouse was a little steep in 2 places. Paving the way would be nice. If you have a 4x4 you can drive right down. Overall a great time fishing and beds were comfy at night.

Beautiful Home & Views!!

The house is very nice and plenty of space! The view from the patio is stunning! The only issue was the walk to the dock was a little rough especially if you need to haul stuff down. Luckily we had a golf cart.

Amazing Views - Clean Home

Our family makes an annual Easter trip to Toledo Bend. This home was by far the cleanest and most accommodating for our family. There was plenty of linens, blankets and beds to make everyone comfortable. We will surely be back for many more Easter weekends!

Wonderful Family Retreat w/ Beautiful Views!

We enjoyed our stay at Katie's place very much. It was so peaceful and had such stunning views to wake up to every day. The house was very roomy and clean and we enjoyed making meals in the spacious kitchen, playing the board games provided by our host, and watching the stars from the jacuzzi. Beyond that it was a fun home base to explore some of the stunning national forests nearby. Would stay again.

Spacious home and beautiful view

The home was nice and spacious.We did run into a problem when we first got there and the owner made sure it was addressed.The issue did take some time to get fixed but after it was done we were able to enjoy our stay better.It was my husband birthday and he loves to fish so it was perfect for him.
