About this property
Beachlovers Onetangi - Walk to Onetangi
Summary:
A relaxed, family friendly Onetangi home designed for groups, Beachlovers offers four bedrooms, two bathrooms, open living spaces, and an easy three minute walk to the quiet end of the beach. With space for up to eight guests, sea views from the upper level, and room to spread out across two levels, it’s a comfortable base for shared meals, beach days, and easy time together close to the coast.
The Space:
Beachlovers Onetangi is a sunny, coastal home arranged across two levels, well suited to families or groups of friends. The main living, dining, and kitchen areas sit on one level in an open, connected space, capturing morning light and soft sea views. Large sliders open to the outdoor seating area, creating a natural flow between inside and out and making the upper level the central hub for cooking, dining, and time together after the beach. The lounge is set up for quiet evenings, shared dinners, after a day on the sand. The kitchen is fully equipped for holiday cooking, with everything needed for breakfasts at home or easy meals shared around the dining table.
Four bedrooms and two bathrooms give everyone room to spread out. The bedrooms are separated across both levels for privacy, with flexible bedding that suits families, couples, or friends travelling together. The upper level includes a second living area that works well as a quiet breakout zone or a space for children.
Walk to the beach in a few minutes, wander home for lunch, and head back down for sunset. You can keep things low key or follow the coast along to the beachfront restaurants for coffee, breakfast, or dinner.

The Neighborhood:
Beachlovers Onetangi sits a short three minute walk from the quiet end of Onetangi Beach, a long stretch of golden sand known for its easy atmosphere and excellent beachfront dining.
For breakfast or coffee, Charlie Farley’s and the Beach Store are close by along the waterfront. For lunch, Three Seven Two and Casita Miro offer relaxed dining with local produce. Dinner can be a refined beachfront experience at Ki Māha or a simple evening at Charlie Farley’s.
The Onetangi Valley is close for wine tasting and long lunches. Tantalus Estate and Stonyridge are both nearby, along with Te Motu, Obsidian, and Wild on Waiheke. The Heke is a popular option for wood fired dishes and locally brewed beer in a relaxed garden setting.
Local essentials such as the golf course, Countdown supermarket, and the Saturday farmers market are a short drive away.
Getting Around:
The nearest bus stop is a short walk from the property, with regular services to Oneroa, the ferry, and the rest of the island. These buses stop outside major wineries including Tantalus, Stonyridge, Te Motu, and Wild on Waiheke.
Taxis on Waiheke are expensive, and private drivers can also be costly. Hire cars, e bikes, and scooters are often the most practical and cost effective way to explore the island.
There is on site parking at the property.
Other Things to Note:
Waiheke relies entirely on rainwater tanks, and water is a limited natural resource on the island. To support sustainable living and protect local supply, especially during the drier summer months, we ask guests to be mindful of their water use throughout their stay.
Minimum stays: 7 nights mid-Dec to mid-Jan, 3 nights on long weekends, 2 nights at all other times.
Interaction with Guests:
Our Stay Waiheke team is available seven days a week from 8.30 am to 5 pm for general queries. For life threatening emergencies such as fire, police, or ambulance, guests must call 111 immediately.
For urgent after hours issues, an emergency number is provided in the arrival instructions.
