My group of 10 stayed at this house in late July, and we had a great time. The place is huge inside and out, with enough space for everyone to get comfortable and enjoy themselves. We really liked the huge covered deck, the pool, and the large square dining table for our large group to hang out together.The kitchen was a bit confusing initially, but we made it work. We couldn't find any of the power plugs for the first day in the kitchen...FYI - they're on the bottom of the upper cabinets. The old built-in fridge wasn't working, but there was a second fridge just around the corner that worked fine.The bedroom was separate enough to provide privacy, and with access to the guest house, everyone in our group had a comfortable place to sleep each night.One thing we'd recommend for the owners to improve the place is to stock the kitchen with a few more pans that are compatible with the induction cooktop. Almost all of the cookware was incompatible with it.

The host was good at communicating and let us do a late check out, which was very appreciated. The house is huge but there were a lot of things that didn't work properly and it seems to need repairs in a lot of places. We were in Texas during a cold snap and the heat in the house was very patchy, with many cold rooms. There was also a weird smell in some rooms, which seemed to be stale cigarette smoke. The pool area would have been wonderful in the warmer weather, though!

It’s worth noting that due to private circumstances i was able to book this property for about 500 a night. Which is a couple hundred cheaper than usual for October. At this price, the property was GREAT and was able to host me and my 12 friends for a wedding weekend at the Renaissance Faire.However, If i had to pay the regular rate. I would be very upset because there were many small things wrong with our stay.1. Perhaps the biggest problem was that the guest house AC was broken. Making it 79 degrees in the guest house and basically unusable as a sleeping space. To the owners credit, I texted them about this on the night we arrive and they had a technician out there the next morning. But still, kind of unfortunate.2. When we arrived we basically had to set up everything about the property ourselves. With no instructions. We had to figure out how turn on the pool and the hot tub, all we had was just big grey boxes with unintuitive switches and control panels that i had to figure out myself. There was a basket of color coded keys for the entire property with no labeling on them and i had to go through each door with every key to figure out how to get access to anywhere. These little things are all slightly annoying but at the price i paid, it was fine.Overall, good stay for my price. But if i paid what it was currently listed i would rate much lower.

I would have to say there was alot of issues we didn't expect with the amount that was paid. The home itself is absolutely beautiful as well as the property. The downside we had no access to use any of the TV inside or outside as we keep getting messages the wifi bill had not been paid which we sent to the host. The inside fridge didn't work so we had to utilize the fridge in the guess house and outside, there was broken glass in the door in kitchen going outside that we had to keep trying to make sure it didn't fall out. And for what ever reason we kept getting notified we were getting noise complaints from neighbors even though everyone was inside by 7pm and the complaints were coming in at 9pm even though quiet time wasn't till 10:30pm. And then more complaints the next day even though we just had kids playing in the pool. This was a reunion with my grandparents my parents and my and my wife and children not a big party. I would say this would be a good place for a smaller family to try out if cost was a bit lower.
