Regina and Alain were exceptional hosts. Same goes for their daughter that handled some of the communication. The accommodation was spotless clean and smelled amazing. We also got all the tips we needed from Regina and Alain, who gave us a very warm welcome on top of that.

Oh my goodness! We had such a wonderful stay at Orama Lodge. The room was clean, had a small kitchen and a comfortable bed. The hosts were truly lovely! They were kind and gracious. We would definitely recommend staying on the property.

Let’s start with the fact that we have stayed in many VRBO’s in many countries, this is a family welcoming you to their island. The owners Alain and Regina are very proud of their home and want you to be comfortable.. Alain built his house and the bungalows with his own hands. He is a craftsman. They gave us a tip to see the Polynesian show at the yacht club and Regina gave us some of her banana bread. Alain also showed us where we could easily access the Manta Ray cleaning station, nearby. We went several times to swim with the Manta’s. This is a cute studio with everything you need. The bungalow has air and a washer. Highly recommend this home away from home.

The property has been done by Alain, a Master Artisan. It has everything you need for your stay. Alain & Regina are very friendly and eager to make your stay the best. They can help you book anything if needed. A very refreshing stay at the Orama lodge.

Our favourite place we stayed in French Polynesia. We spent 4 nights here out of our 3 week trip. We stayed at several homes & finished off with the Four Seasons, & if we had to pick only one place to stay, Orama lodge would be the place. The bungalow we stayed at was built by one of the owners, Alain who is a master carpenter, with the support of this beautiful wife Regina. It was built for their son with love & thoughtfulness, & we felt it as soon as we walked in. It has an amazingly comfortable 4 post bed, fully equipt kitchen, laundry, perfect bathroom, & an extra shower outside for when returning from the beach. And we needed anything, our hosts would provide with a sincere smile. Regina took us for a walk, telling us stories of the past, & pointing out the plants and trees that have been used by the locals for food and medicine. It was truly a special experience. They also arranged for us the most amazing tour that we've ever been on. Wow. We spent time sitting on their deck talking about life, our pasts, & our hopes for the future. They love hosting guests & sharing their experiences to help guests have the best experience possible. Regina made us delicious banana bread, & then sent us off with more fresh banana bread to our next stop. They welcomed us into their home with flower leis & sent us off with seashell leis, as is the custom here. They are beautiful humans, with a contagious love for life & laughter that filled our spirits. It truly felt like home.

Couldn’t have been better!

Our stay was just perfect! The Lodge was super clean and super comfortable. We wanted a cozy place and that’s exactly what we had. Our Hosts Regina and Alain are incredibly generous with their time and hospitality. In fact we were able to join them for a traditional Tahitian dinner of poisson cru. If you are looking for a romantic get away, I recommend Orama Lodge and its hosts, Regina and Alain.

Best Bora Bora stay ever!

The lodge is perfect. Our hosts were amazing and so very kind. My partner and I could not have found a better place to stay while on Bora Bora. When we come back(because we absolutely HAVE to come back) ) we will definitely be staying here again.

We arrived as strangers and left as friends. Everything was spotless and immaculate. Alain took us out for a drive and to look at the canons plus we were able to see how hand crafted pareos were made. He also showed us where we could go and see Manta rays close to the beach. Not only were we able to see these amazing creatures close up we also saw a sea turtle at the same time. No need to join a tour group. You should hire a car when staying at their place even though they have bicycles you can use foc.

Wonderful location and stay

From the start of our visit Regina and Ailan were wonderful hosts. They knew our arrival was going to be after dark and they waited outside with the lantern so we knew which building was the Orama Lodge. After two weeks of traveling through the islands this was a wonderful location with the amenities of home. They have a washer so that we’re able to wash our clothing and a fully outfitted kitchen where we were able to cook our own breakfast and make lunch. We would highly recommend this location for anyone wishing to stay on the main island of Bora Bora. As we write this review, we are currently at the Conrad Bora Bora, which is truly a different experience but to get the flavor Polynesia it is important to stay at a locally owned establishment on the main island of Bora Bora.

I being a Contractor/Carpenter right away was attracted to the woodwork in this rental when I viewed this rental online. I was even more appreciative when I arrived and saw it in person. To my amazement the Martels, Alain and Regina gave us a heartwarming greeting with pupu's. I found that Alain was also a master carpenter and we were like two peas in a pod. Regina was full of smiles and sincerely caring about any need we might have. We paddled the kayaks out to a Motu that were on premisis and truely enjoyed our stay with them. I highly recommend a stay here. We live in Hawaii, but will call this our second home. We've definetly found two new friends here. Aloha for now, we will be back Ed Markel & Donna (Alain and I almost have the same last name)

Orama Lodge was perfection. The decor was incredibly artistic, original and welcoming. It definitely gave the feeling a true hidden garden oasis. Our bungalow was extremely comfortable and was also incredibly beautiful and well-appointed. All the common areas to relax (and there are very many) were comfortable and well-designed. We learned that the owner is a designer by trade and her passion for it really shows through every small detail. The lagoon is easily accessible as the dock is on the property so swimming and kayaking etc are all on site in the gorgeous teal water. The owner Eileen and all staff were extremely kind, attentive and genuine. You can tell it’s a very happy place to be. We also enjoyed visits from the well cared for resident kitties. Will book at the lodge exclusively when returning to M’oorea as it far exceeded all expectations. It was our favorite stay within French Polynesia!

Bora bora logement

Nous avons beaucoup aimé le logement chez Régina et Alain. L’accueil était vraiment au top. Le logement était impeccable et était très fonctionnel. Nous avions à notre disposition des vélos et des kayaks gratuitement. Alain s’est offert pour nous conduire au ferry. Je recommande fortement ce logement de 5 étoiles.

The hosts were very warm and welcoming. The accommodation was very clean and full of beautiful arts and crafts of a local nature. The bed was very comfortable. The hosts provided coffee and tea with the accomodation and were very helpful and considerate. Alain is a master carpenter and his work is truly beautiful. Every possible amenity was provided. Hôtes plus que sympathiques !

Alain et Regina sont de belles personnes qui ont rendu ce séjour encore plus agréable. Le studio est parfaitement agencé et décoré. Il se situe un peu en dehors ( rien n’est très loin ici ! ) des centres touristiques et nous avons trouvé cela très bien. Les échanges sont faciles et intéressants et ils n’hésitent pas à rendre service dès que nécessaire. Allez-y les yeux fermés !

Most Hospitable Hosts!

The property was immaculate and quaint. The host and hostess were extremely friendly, gracious and generous. We were greeted with the traditional floral lei and made to feel welcomed. They made sure we knew of all the sights to see on the island. They even hosted a happy hr and appetizers for their guests. We also received the departure necklace of shells when we left. Of all the places we stayed in the French Polynesia, staying at the Orama Lodge Bora Bora was our best experience. They truly went out of their way to assure we had a positive experience.

Voyage d’amour en Polynésie

Si bora est la perle du pacifique, Régina et Alain sont les perles de la Polynésie. Des hôtes aussi charmants et adorables ça ne se voit que très rarement. Leur accueil, leur gentillesse, leurs conseils et leur bienveillance a fortement contribué à faire de notre escapade un pur plaisir. Le cadre et le lodge sont en plus parfaits en tout point, rien ne manque et tout est fait pour qu’on s’y sente au mieux ! On ne pouvait rêver mieux !! Māuruuru roa pour tout à Régina et Alain ❤️

We had a lovely stay with a very comfortable bed and everything we needed for a self catering stay. Ten minutes drive from the main town. Kayaks and bikes provided and we cycled round the island. Hosts were wonderful. We had drinks with them in the Friday night and they took us to parts of Bora Bora, which a tourist would not normally see. They provided loungers to watch the sunset and sent on the stuff we left behind to Huahine.

An amazing property with phenomenal hosts!

I have gone to lots of places, and I’ve stayed in lots of properties, but this particular one, I have to say, was magical. It is the cleanest and most serene. The energy was excellent throughout the property and cottage, and the owners of this property made everything that much more magical. I give this listening 10 stars! Truly a fantastic place to stay.
