eclipse viewing

Had a great trip to view the eclipse. The cabin was great and served our purpose. It is in a beautiful location, quiet but easy to locate. We would happily rent again. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had.

One minor problem that need to be fixed: On the lower bannister on the outside of the stair, there is a small protruding nail head which if not fixed is going to snag someone and injure them. Everything else was great.

My anniversary

The property is beautiful. But I hate that when we arrived there was cleaning up that had to be done. Bed sheets had to be washed trash had to be taken out. I was very disappointed with this situation. Because when you leave you perfectly cleaned home and go to a house in the middle of nowhere you expect a clean living area but we did not get that. Just think soon as you get there and you have to clean up its a shame, and the only answer you get is "well that should not have been like that." Of course not I should have had to clean up on my stay. I get cleaning before you leave, but not cleaning up someone elses nasty. Every bed (4bed rooms) 5 beds had to be cleaned every sheet pillow case. If you clean for a living this takes time. Mirrors had children hand prints on it. I didnt even have kids there. I was disguised by it especially due to covid. So seeing that makes you want to sanitize every thing. It wasn't enought laundry detergent to even clean for our own things. But I have to say other than filth, the stay was beautiful.

The patio needs lights! And more cooking pots were needed. There was no butane for the grill.

Great location, but the hill was scary in the rain and sleet. Also there was no lights on the patio area, making it not desirable at night. We wanted to roast marshmellows, but couldnt due to no lights. Great cabin, and will definitely rent again.! The owner was very supportive and helped us out alot with accomodations! Thank you, Eric

Fantastic Beavers Bend State Park location

What a great location. Less than 3 miles to the Beavers Bend State Park and Nature Center. Plus wonderful walking in the community area. The Lodge itself is beautiful with a perfect layout. Very comfortable for 8 adults with all the needed kitchen cookware and essentials. Value-wise 11 out of 10.

Great time at Trout Run Lodge

The house was beautiful and equipped with everything we needed. Lots of comfy seating inside and out. Games for teens - blankets for the couches - great campfire. We found lots of good places to eat and things to do.

52nd Birthday Girls’ Trip

The cabin is amazing. Beds are very comfortable. Outdoor space was adequate for 9 adults. Hot tub and some seating is covered, the table and chairs only have an umbrella but it is adjustable to chase the sun. If I had anything of constructive advise, the dining table chairs are a bit uncomfortable as they have no cushions, but they are sturdy. The gps and written instructions are not quite correct. The gps has you stopping before you get to the cabin. The cabin is actually located at the top of the hill in the curve. There are no house numbers nor a sign indicating Trout Run. That would be a helpful addition. Nice wrap around porch. Kitchen is easy to navigate and locate items. Bathrooms are well layout and roomy. There’s plenty of parking for 4-5 vehicles. Neighborhood is quiet. A lot of passing traffic to the resort but otherwise quiet. We saw deer and squirrels. If you go to the Safari Park save some food and put it out for the deer they will come and feed on it. We saw 2 deer. We all enjoyed our stay and the cabin.

Fantastic

Our stay was fantastic. Well maintained property. Host was very attentive prior to arrival. Very clean. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms nicely done. Only one minor reported tub drain problem that I am sure will be fixed immediately. Utensils and cookware provided were high quality. Attention to details. We will stay again in the future.
