If you are looking for a great vacation, it's all within reach at this three-level 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath townhome in Ocean View, Del.'s, The Village at Bear Trap Dunes, a few miles from downtown Bethany. Just steps to the clubhouse's restaurant and The Village Pavilion (with its indoor pool, outdoor pool, tennis courts, fitness center and playground), The main level features the living room, dining area, half bath and well-equipped kitchen, as well as a master suite with large soaking tub, walk-in shower and dual vanities), while the top level is home to an additional full bath and three bedrooms, including a second master suite, also featuring a soaking tub and walk-in shower. A hub of entertainment possibilities, the furnished basement is home to a family room - with large screen TV, pool table, foosball and more - and the townhomes final full bathroom and bedroom. Great vacation spaces continue outside with this golf resort getaway's private courtyard, featuring a patio and gas grill. Note: The Bear Trap Dunes Owners Association charges an optional per person fee for guests ages 4 and older for the use of the community’s amenities, including the in-season beach shuttle, pools, tennis and fitness center. This fee varies by the time of year and is subject to change without notice. Guests that opt to purchase amenity passes MUST purchase at the Bear Trap Pavilion.

*Delaware regulations require all guests sign a lease agreement within 10 days of booking. A lease agreement will be sent within 24 hours of booking and an electronic signature is required before final check-in information is made available.

Everything was good except the mold in the window that we needed someone to clean twice. The mold was right above a window in basement bedroom and my nephews were breathing that in for a week. Not good.

Year two

Our second year staying at Bear trap, our first in this location. It was perfect. Great amenities, the basement games were definitely used. The beds were comfortable enough for a good nights sleep. We love staying here, the amenities of the whole club and the ease of getting into Bethany make it a perfect getaway. We will be back.

Home was okay, but ran into inconveniences.

Want to start off by saying the location and size of the house were great.From the time of booking, I felt like communication with the host wasn’t very present. I had asked about updating the guest count, which did happen. But I followed up with more questions. For example, the listing stated there was parking for two cars. We had 3, so I asked if there was any available street parking? This was a couple weeks prior to my stay and got no response. Upon checking in, we noticed there were no starter essentials (soap, shampoo, detergent, paper towel, toilet paper). We also did not receive the garage code. I reached out via VRBO messages regarding both issues. We didn’t get a response right away, so I texted Vacasa. They responded that they would get back to me. A few hours later, I receive a text from a different Vacasa number asking how check in went. I responded to that number restating the current issues involving the essentials and garage. And also sent a picture of a broken fan pulley that was left on the nightstand and wanted them to document that it was there when we checked in. I only got a response with the garage code. Completely ignores the essentials and fan pulley. So I copied and pasted the same issues, resent it. And finally got a response that someone would be out to drop off toilet paper, etc. but won’t be til the next day. Which meant we had to go out and buy toilet paper. There was hardly any check out instructions. Felt weird leaving trash in the bins.

lots of room /convenient location

Three floors , bedrooms large , bathrooms large , full kitchen . Third floor steps steep and a long walk up but very nice bedrooms /basement sleep accommodation very private , basement damp however , needs a dehumidifier /basement has a large gameroom -unexpected . very nice indeed

House was clean and well equipped. Bedrooms were great. Plenty of sleeping space. Pictures were accurate. Family room is small. Basement is great but does have odor described in other reviews, maybe from the nearby pond. Kids enjoyed the pool table and fuss-ball table. Parking is plentiful. Pool was wonderful and really made the trip for the kids. Indoor pool came in handy as well. Though only a few miles from Bethany, the traffic was bumper to bumper and very frustrating. Parking was also very difficult anywhere close to the beach. We are not golfers but the course was beautiful and well maintained.

Great for multiple families

We were looking for a place that could accommodate 3 family units where everyone could have a private place to sleep and plenty of bathrooms. This was perfect for that! We really enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was pretty well equipped with everything you could need. A few cleaning items that could be missed and were during our stay: there was an old coffee filter still in the coffee maker that wasn’t cleaned, the gas grill had a lot of grease and food debris that wasn’t cleaned. Assuming that guests that use these amenities should be cleaning up their own mess here but precious guests did not. Small things, overall really no complaints. Plenty of games to encourage family time. Neighborhood with gym, pools, restaurant, golf course a huge plus since you have a short drive to the beach.

Issues

The first thing was the dirty lines from the previous guest in the backyard outside the garage door. Which lead to three additional bags of dirty linens in the garage. Considering what is currently going on I found this extremely unsanitary and quite disgusting. The dirty lines were picked up on Friday afternoon when clean lines were dropped off again in front of the garage door. How exactly is that professional? Second issue is when we found out that the sump pump in the basement located in the closet of the bedroom was not working. The smell was pungent to say the least! A handy man showed up tell us that he was not able to fix it and a plumber would be called in. Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM I called to find out the status only to be told that they don't have a plumber available and it would be Monday sometime before they could get anyone out. Meanwhile we were not able to use that bedroom and the smell with perminating through the downstairs. The property manager suggest that I go out and buy a air purifier. Really? After conversations with the management company and the local manager they were able to get a plumber out on Sunday Evening. However the smell in that bedroom was overwhelming which meant that the bedroom was not able to be used the entire week. There was a broken chair in the dining room which someone attempted to fix with painter's tape. A broken pool stick, and a broken light in the master bedroom which was in the closet. A piece of the trim for the stairs was missing, and the remotes had no back covers. There were cobwebs in the corners of the living and dining room. It's a shame that the house was not being cleaned, not sure if the owners are aware. The house itself was nice, but the management team needs help.

The size of the house was perfect for my family of 12. The Master Suite on the first floor was just lovely! The kitchen was very well equipped with pots , pans, dishes , glasses and coffee mugs. All the bedrooms were very nice and comfortable. All the bathrooms were very clean and spacious . My family enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return for future vacations !!

Nice big house….

The house was beautiful & spacious. I missed having a porch &/ or space to sit outside.The patio was very small because of the terribly overgrown tres & bushes. We had some trouble with the outside grill. But the owner replaced the grill so we were able to cook out a lot which was great! There is a smell issue in the basement closet that I think needs to be addressed. Our boys stayed down there & didn’t tell me about it until the last few days of our stay. I sprayed it with Lysol…but I think it needs more attention.

Great space; Disappointed with Cleaning Crew

The house was a perfect layout for our family reunion spanning 3 generations and cousins aged 9-21. Well stocked kitchen with all glassware, flat ware and crockery you need. Comfortable beds. We were disappointed in the cleaning crew. When we arrived there was a large bin of dirty sheets and towels in the small backyard. We called Vacasa to have them take it away as it was taking up most of the limited space. They did not come and after we dragged it outside the back gate it was never removed but rather became a dumping ground for other linens from other properties. We wanted to use the grill one evening but it was filthy with old meat grease. The house comes with no cleaning supplies so we were unable to clean the grill so had to go without its use all week. The lack of cleaning supplies - no soap in the kitchen, 3 dishwasher tabs for the whole week, no extra toilet paper - was frustrating and felt a little cheap.

Peaceful Stay w/Excellent Firm Beds

Home is current and beachy decorated, and the community and its people wonderful. Most of all we loveeed the beds, given existing physical limitations. I really would like to know the brand and name of mattresses in the double queen room. And, though, we experienced some unforeseen operable challenges; I must say they were quickly ticketed for response. Thanks Vacasa for living up to my advance inquiries.

Weekend Stay

My family and I rented the home for the weekend because of my son's tournament and we really enjoyed our stay.
