Dunmore House, with its vintage shutters embodies the spirit of the renowned Loyalist cottages of the 1700’s.

Along with its old world charm, this cottage is tastefully decorated and fitted with upscale linens and towels.

Guests can enjoy sitting on the front porch, on the patio in the backyard or the elevated porch of the upper floor.
Your golf cart can be parked on the quiet side street of this corner lot, or directly within the property fence.

Both the Ground Floor and the Upper Floor have these Amenities:

* This is a non-smoking house.
* Housekeeping is not included daily.

* Bear in mind that this is a quaint 18th Century-style cottage, and the ceilings are low. The center beam in the downstairs living room clears 6 ft (1,8m). The upper floor has an "A" frame ceiling (lower on the sides than on the center).
* Please note that Dunmore House is comprised of two separate units. The Upper floor and the Lower floor are connected with an outer staircase.

The house was exactly as advertised - even the low beam - I am 6’4” and had to duck! Great location and perfect for our family of 3. The upstairs unit downstairs offered great privacy.Communication was super clear…and fast when we accidentally locked ourselves out a few days in. Celeste was quick to solve our issue by sending over a housekeeper with a key.Overall - we recommend Dunmore House. Correct price point in comparison to other places we’ve rented on Harbour. Quaint House right in town

My son and I visited harbour island for his spring break and found Dunmore house to be perfect for us. It is very centrally located with easy access to the main docks, shopping, restaurants and beaches. The house is comprised of 2 one bedroom units with private access to each, which worked well for the situation.

The perfect Harbour Island retreat!

Dunmore House offers all you need for your Harbour Island getaway. The two separate units are great for groups traveling together that could use a bit of separation. The downstairs unit is a great gathering spot with spacious living and dining areas. The house is convenient to multiple businesses and restaurants and a quick golf cart ride away from pink sand beaches. Would stay again!

Great location and really cool older house. Only reason not 5 stars was head clearance, I’m 6’ 4” and walked around hunched over because of low points in the ceiling, and wonky stove top (which I brought to attention of owner). Other than that perfect, almost don’t even need a golf cart, it’s with. Walking distance of most everything

Charming property and great location!

We rented both the top and bottom portions of the Dunmore House for a quick stay with our family of 4. We visit beautiful Harbour Island at least once a year, and enjoy each visit more than the last. The property is so charming, with beautiful landscaping and 2 great porches to enjoy morning coffee, etc! It is in a convenient location, within walking distance to Valentine’s Marina and multiple restaurants, and a short golf cart ride away from the gorgeous beach. This is definitely one of the cleanest rentals we have ever experienced. The beds were very comfortable and the A/C was perfect. Both the upstairs and downstairs were decorated very tastefully. And most importantly, the hosts and property manager were extremely helpful and quick to respond. We would highly recommend this property!

Cozy Cottage in the heart of Dunmore Town

The Dunmore House was perfect for our family during our 4 night stay on Harbour Island. Celeste did a great job with communication throughout our stay! The beds were comfortable and the house was spotless! This was amazing to me as the island is full of dirt roads and of course the pink sand beach! How they got it so clean don’t know!! We used the French Press coffee maker every day and had coffee on the porch watching the town come to life. This is not a remote quiet beach side resort but we loved feeling connected to the town and the people. Across the street is Valentine’s resort and marina where you can grab drinks or dinner or catch a charter for a day on the water. We had the whole house reserved which is the downstairs main house and the upstairs apartment which has a queen bed and walk in shower/ separate bathroom/toilet and lounge area with small kitchen. Charming would be my word for Dunmore House. It is a short maybe 10 minute walk to the beach or a 3 minute golf cart ride. We loved our stay and would recommend highly.

Harbour Island is all it's splendor highlight is most certainly it's beautiful pink sands beach. Just a 5 minute golf cart ride from Dunmore House, you can rent beach chairs from any of the beach vendors at the public entrances, and lounge on your chair, read a book while the kids play and soak up some sun.
