Four season private house has 3 BR, 1.5 baths (sleeps 3-8) and is available for rent for as long as a month, in the heart of the Catskills, 1.5 miles from Belleayre, 3 miles from Belleayre Beach Pine Hill Lake, 15-20 minutes to Phoenicia, Margaretville and Roxbury, and a short drive to Hunter, Wyndham, and Plattekill Mountains, in the quiet little village of Fleischmanns, NY. PET FRIENDLY!!!

Neither of the TV’s worked, and the washer/dryer was not working either. The new unit was sitting in the dining room.The closets we not usable due to ask kinds of things thrown on the floors of closets. I don’t think it was cleaned before we arrived. If so, they did a terrible job! The towels & bedding/sheets were as old as the house! This house could be really cute, but it needs lots of work. The toilets need to be replaced. The location was the best part about it. Also the railing on the steps to get up to the house are very rickety and dangerous.

We arrived to find the main bathroom not cleaned. There was hair everywhere, and I mean literally everywhere in the bathroom. The tub had lots of hair in it & had very obviously not been cleaned & the sink & toilet as well. I cleaned all of those things immediately so my family (including small children) could use them, but the bathroom floor was so hair covered that I couldn’t manage to get it all. The bathroom had mold, likely due to the faulty exhaust fan that is being held up by tape. There are massive cobwebs in the floor of the living room. Coffee and sticky food remnants were on the kitchen counters. This house has window AC units, which would have been fine if they all worked. The one in the twin bed room (for us kids’ room) didn’t cool & only blew warmish, musty smelling air from the AC. I suspect mold in that as well based on the smell & severe cough my 3 year old developed after the first night sleeping in that room. Parking is not great. It is two tight spots very close to the road. You either have to stop other cars & block the road to back in to the spots or you have to blindly back out in to a road that frankly people are flying up & down. There’s lots of stairs to get in to the house so unloading for the stay is pretty unpleasant. Stairs & railing feel like you could fall through them at any moment, with only a few repaired but needing full replacement. It did not feel safe for children for sure.

Well as nice the place was it wasn’t all that. First no tvs worked the kids couldn’t hook up the systems. Ac in living room and one bed really didn’t work The washer washed the clothes but didn’t ring out. And most important was the shower worked fine first night but trickled the rest of the days had to go to relatives house to wash

We really enjoyed our stay. We didn’t utilize the back yard as it was a bit overgrown and not enough seating. Could use a little work on the back porch. The town was cute but several empty buildings that I assume were once shops. Otherwise the house was very clean. We spent a lot of time on the deck in the front of the house. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

Needs some TLC

Not well kept needs maintenance and repair that I presume any adult could tend to. Overgrown shrub onto entry stairs, toilet seats falling off. Curtains falling down. A doggie poop bag left on the outdoor dining table. VRBO should make sure their owners do better.

Great overnight

We were looking for a clean, reasonably priced place to stay for a wedding and this house was exactly that! The owner was so nice and accommodating!

Unique Catskills village stay

The village of Fleischmanns has its own unique flavor. Cute businesses are popping up and this house fit the bill for our stay. Clean, comfortable, and space to relax! Perfect if you want a super comfy king bed and a spacious porch to hang on. We appreciated the funky layout of the house and the wood trim! The Catskills are spectacular in the summer and this was an affordable place to have as homebase for the weekend.

Winter ski trip

The house was clean and in good location for skiing. 5 minutes to Belleayre Mountain and 40 minutes to Windham and Hunter.

Pleasant stay

Our 2-day stay was quite pleasant overall. The house is just a 5 min. drive to Belleayre and we were able to enjoy skiing both days.

Great place to stay

This house was great. Everything was clean and cozy. The location was great. We were close to Main Street and Belleayre Mountain. Veronica was so easy to communicate with. Thank you and we would definitely stay here again.

We had an awesome stay!

My family and I rented this place for a weekend ski getaway and we weren't disappointed at all. The house has a wood fireplace that keeps the whole house very warm and cozy. The living room has enough space for my family of 4 to lounge around and watch TV. The dining room has a nice size table for dining. And the kitchen has all the appliances and utensils we need. The owners leave detailed instructions regarding garbage, recycling, heating and opening and closing doors so there's no confusion or misunderstanding. My 2 young boys enjoyed their sleep in the room with the twin beds. And my husband and I had a very comfortable sleep in the king bed which is by the way nice and firm. Just how my husband likes it with his back and sleep issues and all. Plus the house is 4 mins away from Belleayre mountain which we had so much fun skiing for 2 days. Having the house only 4 mins away from skiing was such a huge plus since we were so exhausted from skiing. And the neighborhood was so nice and quiet. We didn't have any issues at all. The owners are very quick to reply to any messages we have for them. Overall we had an awesome stay!

Great ski weekend

Warm and cozy house - loved the wood burning stove! Just down the street from Belleayre. A wonderful family ski weekend. Owner could not be more responsive to any questions as well!
