Adorable cottage in the popular Mill Village neighborhood in downtown Tupelo just minutes from great restaurants, shopping and events. Great floor plan with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, vinyl plank flooring, carpeted bedrooms, updated kitchen and bathrooms, inviting front porch. Corner lot across street from beautiful city park. Tupelo's infamous train comes through downtown several times day/night. So be aware if you are a light sleeper!

Chestnut Cottage was the perfect place to stay in Tupelo. We were there for a 4 day swim meet, which the house was only 5 minutes from the pool. It was convenient to stores, shops, and the cutest bakery. The house was well maintained and worked well for the 3 of us. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a place to stay in Tupelo, MS.

Comfortable for two couples for a few days; close to downtown. Bathrooms weren't completely clean (hair in the corners of the rooms); beds were comfortable enough; kitchen well equipped. Electronic entry didn't work on the back door.

I am a local owner and would have been grateful to know of these issues immediately, as this review was posted over three weeks after you left. The cleaning has been addressed with the cleaning lady. And the back door deadbolt had an alignment issue that I fixed immediately upon learning. I'm sorry you found hairs in the corner of a bathroom. We do our best to make sure everyone had a 10/10 stay.

Our favorite place to stay in Tupelo!

We have stayed in this home several times in our travels. It is so nice to feel at home when you are so far from home. This home is the perfect place to relax and unwind. It is our hope that this home is available when we are back in Tupelo.

Great & Comfortable Place

Very comfortable furniture and beds in this house. Easy to get to, but not located on a busy street. Next to a park with a winding walking path and tennis/pickle ball courts. If and when we return, this house is at the top of our list!!!!

Cozy, comfortable and clean. Beds were great, loved the connection with the living and dining areas. Plenty of room to spread out all the stuff necessary with an infant! It was pretty cold, so didnt get as much time in the porch swing as would have liked but I must stress that the trains were not an issue for us. Yes, we did occasionally notice one but mostly they were just a background noise. The park is nice for a walk and the area did not give us safety concerns. Host responded super quickly to our question - not her fault vrbo was late getting the check-in email out to us.

Nice home

This home worked great for our 3 day visit with granddaughter that lives in Tupelo. The home allowed us much more space than a hotel would have. Only downside was the multiple trains that come through at night and beds were a bit too firm for our liking, but I realize that many prefer that.

Thank you for the review! It gives us an opportunity to reiterate what is already in the listing. The property description and location description states: "It's quiet, except for when the infamous train treks through town. So if you are a light sleeper, please keep this in mind!" We have noise machines in each bedroom and noise reduction drapes in the master bedroom. The train can be heard throughout downtown Tupelo so please be mindful when booking any home close to downtown! Thanks for staying and taking such good care of the cottage. Kim

Great property close to downtown Tupelo

Overall a great property that is completely "as advertised" by the owner...very accurate listing including location near the train but don't let that deter you as all of Tupelo is near the train. Pickleball courts across the street and close to Veterans Park as well as birthplace of Elvis. If you are looking for something other than a hotel for an extended stay this is for you!

Weekend Stay

Our stay was great! The cottage is cute and quaint with decor. The owners are awesome. The internet went out and Dee came out to help us with the modem. It was a Comcast issue, but they were willing to make it right if it didn’t come back on. We will definitely be staying here for our future visits to Tupelo.

This has got to be one of the best places I’ve stayed, so clean,the decor is great , 2 large bedrooms , awesome dinning home. Family trip to Tupelo Con

Our daughter and husband are vendors at various comic con conventions throughout the South and Southeast. Instead of a hotel stay we thought we would have a family gathering around work time. Cottage was first class with all the amenities close to grocery stores and fine restaurants and establishments in downtown Tupelo. We plan on making this a yearly event. Great place for train watching in the historic mill district

Amazing Experience

This property was clean, cozy and beautiful. Some friends and I meet up a couple times a year to catch up. Chestnut Cottage was the perfect place for us. It had more than enough room to sleep, get ready, cook, eat and hang out. The owners are amazing and respond so quickly to any questions or request. Every room is complimented with beautiful, up-to-date furniture. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessities. The dining room and living room are perfect for eating, chatting and playing board games. We all highly recommend this property. We are already planning our next trip to Chestnut Cottage!

I love older homes! This home was built approximately 80 years ago, however it was renovated by the prior owners. It is a cozy home with all the amenities to make your stay pleasant. It's located in a great area, close to many different local attractions.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This home has a king bed in one bedroom, and a queen bed in the other, as well as a full sized sofa bed in the living room. A washer and dryer is available as well as two full bathrooms. The kitchen has cookware and utensils to cook a meal, however the home is close enough to local restaurants to go out without having to go far.
