TAKE A LOOK!! The Cedar cabin we call The Ranch Cabin is ready. If our calendar shows full, please contact us since cancellations do occur and don't always get posted immediately. . Many of our former guests have been eagerly waiting for this upgrade. I have added pictures to show the inside living room and the outside view from the covered porch.

Get ready for hiking, rock climbing, swimming, boating, fishing, golfing, bicycle riding, tennis, hang gliding, antique hunting, wine tasting, museums, and Subiaco Academy which are all nearby. We are much more reasonable than the Mt. Magazine cabins or the Petit Jean Mountain cabins and have less restrictions.

**** And, We now accept payment by PAYPAL and CREDIT CARD for your deposit or your balance. Call for details ****

The Ranch Cabin is a luxury cabin nestled at the base of Mount Magazine, the highest point between the Rockies and the Alleghenies. The cabin is private and isolated and has a gorgeous view of Mount Magazine from the fully furnished deck and the covered porch. The little house is fully furnished with a hide-a-bed couch in the living room and a recliner for him (or her) Outside on the deck, a fantastic night sky will greet you with stars so stupendous on clear cloudless nights it will literally take your breath away. And August is especially great with visible meteor showers. Grab a quilt and a pillow and spend half of the night outside.

You can nap in the hammocks during the day underneath the trees, or roam in the woods, build a fire in the rock garden in the woods and enjoy a good old fashioned cook out with hot dogs, marshmallows, and more. Plenty of wood provided. You just have to gather it. If you get tired of being outside we have supplied the cottage with Dish TV, many, many games, books, and many videos for you to enjoy.

Nearby is great hiking and swimming and magnificent Mount Magazine, one of the jewels in the crown of the Arkansas Parks System. You will experience fantastic photo ops, hang gliding, hiking, and a visitor center at the summit. On the way up, stop at pristine Cove Lake for a great swim. Enjoy also award winning dining nearby, wineries, and museums, float the Mulberry just 40 miles north, and travel an easy drive north to Eureka Springs, South to Hot Springs, or East to Little Rock. At Jack Creek and Knoppers Ford recreation areas you may even catch a glimpse of a shy black bear as you swim, picnic, hike, and enjoy the bluffs. Deer and coyote, owls and other wildlife are regular visitors at the cottage. And the whippoorwills will serenade you to sleep in the spring and summer months. Enjoy butterflies In June and herb hunting as your knowledge of nature grows.

Why Walene Beeler chose Arkansas

Ott Clare bought this property at the base of Mt Magazine in 1958. The original homesite, which originally had a log cabin, but a new house was built in 1990 on the same site. The cabin is on this property. Many locals have said we have the prettiest view of the mountain. Better than they have seen anywhere else in the county.

What makes this cottage unique

We love the peace and quiet here and the way the attributes of the mountain seem to be constantly changing. Sunrise and sunset can be dramatic. The whippoorwills in the spring and summer are so relaxing.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I was trying to submit a review on your site and couldn't figure out how. First, I wanted to say how sorry I am for the misunderstanding about my inlaws coming up. I honestly did not think they were coming up this year. I did not find out until Thursday morning. Now for my review if you don't mind submitting it on your site for me ----

I highly recommend Circle C Cottages. The owners are amazing people. Jenny's cottage is beautiful. Has all the comforts of home. My boys thoroughly enjoyed being able to just head out a s go fishing (even tho they aren't very good at it!). The location is perfect for all the spots we wanted to visit this year. The views are great! We hope to see you again next year!! Thank you so much, The Purdons Naples, Texas

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

When traveling we prefer cabins/houses over hotels any day, and this was no different. I love cows, so when I discovered that this place was located next to a field of cows I was sold! And they were friendly cows, I pet several of them, and took lots of pictures! The house was perfect for my family of four. We brought our own food and used the outdoor grill, and used the kitchen for breakfast cooking! It was wonderful to see Mt. Magazine from the cabin! There was even a (stray) cat that seemed to have taken up residence there that I enjoyed having around! Contemplating staying again this fall, when the weather is cooler, to do some hiking on the mountain!

Very comfortable, and at home. Everything we needed was there.

  • 5 of 5

Sitting on the porch, and talking to the cows (we named two in particular, Nubby and Niblets) was great! That alone would be reason enough to return. However, the inside of the property was amazing too. There was nothing we lacked. We felt very comfortable, as if this were part of our home.

Oh, and the cinnamon rolls didn't survive the night. They were so good. I will recommend this place to many people.
