Island House is your home away from home for pure relaxation, refreshment, and rejuvenation. From sun-up to well past sundown; from glowing morning skies to saturated ocean sunsets and sparkling starry nights, Island House is your special place to let all stresses fly away. Sipping morning coffee or tea on the beach deck while drinking in views of the crystal blue waters of the Gulf….strolling along miles of pristine white sands on Manasota Key….watching playful dolphins, exotic birds and endangered turtles….basking in the sun….playing in the waves…what quiet moments and pleasant memories await!

Directly on the beach facing the Gulf of Mexico, Island House is a privately owned vacation rental of six fully furnished apartments–three upstairs and three on the ground floor. This is a non-smoking property. All units have full kitchens including stove, oven, full-sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, cookware, and utensils! A barbecue grill is available outside for all guests to share.
Units one and four have a direct view of the beach - the other units do not really have a view - you can see parts of the beach from the Master bedroom. But you are still only feet away from the beach as soon as you step outside your room - at a much lower rate than the oceanfront units. THIS LISTING IS UNIT 3 GROUND FLOOR with 1 bedroom / 1 king bed. Max of 2 adults and 1 child in existing bed.

We just got back from a 3 night stay. The apartment was exceptionally clean. It has been updated and is beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed. We loved it and will definitely return.

The property was nice and clean with the condo being right on the water it’s good place to rent for a long weekend to full week. We would rent again.

Beach Getaway

Perfect location within steps to the beach. It's not in a super crowded touristy area so getting around was easy and getting into restaurants at any time was easy. It's a very short drive into Englewood where there is everything you need.

Perfect beach getaway!

Exactly as described! This was our first stay here and would highly recommend. We come to Manasota 2-3 times a year and loved our stay !! My only c/o would be: the mattress was a little extra firm for our liking. Everything you need to stay and never leave the beach ! We would book again !!!

Everything we needed

It was nice & clean and everything we needed for our 2 night stay in Englewood. A beach we could walk to, a nice king size bed, a kitchen equipped with everything but a dishwasher. The host was available and efficient with our reservation and checkIn instructions.

Enjoyed this little gem on the gulf!!

We ended up in unit 6, which served our needs completely. Beach towels, chairs and two umbrellas were provided. The cooking/dining area is fullsize to serve your vacation needs. The unit was within walking distance to some fun restaurants! Many of them had music during lunch and/or dinner.

Don’t fall for it

I don’t know where to start.. I never complain. I picked this listing because it has TWO bedrooms. Come to find out there’s only one bedroom and the couch shown in the picture is actually a tiny loveseat. Not only did we not have an extra bedroom, but someone also couldn’t sleep on the couch. Contacted host and she was not helpful and made me feel like I read it wrong. Contacted customer service and they confirmed that the listing is incorrect and states it was 2 bedrooms. Last comment I have is that they must have a break in the sewer line, so make sure you check for Iguanas in the toilet before you sit down.

Mixed Bag of Satisfaction

The apartment was dark (two windows-one to the wall one to the parking lot) and the furthest away from the beach. I rented it to be closer to the beach for my disabled family member. Turns out it wasn't that much closer than the previous stays at another house in the same area. It felt deceiving because the pictures show these windows and ocean views. No special channels on TV and air conditioning was very loud. We could not hear the TV. No condiments for cooking. I was surprised to have to go out to purchase salt and pepper to cook. It didn't feel very homey as our previous rentals and you can hear everyone in all the apartments in the building. The walls were very thin. The beach chairs were nice but watch out for biting ants in front lounge area.
