In its village part, many hiking trails on the banks of the Sèvre, accessible from the house, allow you to discover old washhouses or stone bridges, to meet fishermen, hikers or canoes going down the river, without forgetting the very green nature and its various animal species (horses, cows, hinds, wild boars, etc...)
In addition to its proximity to Niort, which has no shortage of sites to visit such as its keep, classified as a historical monument, its covered market offering several local farmers' markets every week or its many churches and cathedrals, the villa is close to major tourist sites (the canals of the Marais Poitevin, in 20 minutes, the Futuroscope in 45 minutes, La Rochelle in 50 minutes, the island of Ré in 1 hour, the Puy du Fou in 1 hour 15 minutes, etc,...).
Please note that the villa Taru Marais Poitevin is our main residence that we rent during our absences. This means that you will benefit from all the necessary equipment for your stay. Some of our personal belongings remain on site but we obviously provide tenants with storage space for their belongings and foodstuffs by providing free shelves in each room and a sufficiently large fridge.
