This cottage was built in the 1960s and has all the charm of a beach retreat with all the modern amenities, including central AC, a fully equipped kitchen, and appliances. This three bedroom 2.5 bath comfortably sleeps eight and is on the ocean side of Fernleaf. This charming beach cottage was recently renovated. It has the charm of an original beach cottage with all the modern amenities such as central AC, smart TVs, Weber BBQ, and high-speed internet. This three bedroom 2.5 bath easily and comfortably sleeps 8. The ground floor bedroom has a king bed and a full bathroom. Bedroom 1 has two queen beds and Bedroom 2 has a full over full bunk bed, twin trundle, and queen bed. The rooftop deck offers stunning views of Newport Harbor and the pacific ocean. It is an ideal spot to watch the sunset after a day at the beach or get some sun on the reclining deck chairs. There is an enclosed backyard great for a BBQ and an additional comfortable seating area.

Spectacular Home

We stayed here with our 7 month son and our sibling and their 3 kids. The house was absolutely perfect! We easily walked down to the beach and the backyard and rooftop patio were great. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved the location. Place was clean and very well appointed too. Even the toilet paper was of very high quality. Only reason for 4 out of 5 stars were the beds- far too soft and concaved. Also, the linens were very heavily laundered with a strong chemical smell.

My husband and I watched our 4 month old granddaughter while her parents went away for the long weekend. The house was perfect! So cute and it had all the amenities you need for cooking. We stayed at the house the whole time since we had the baby and did a lot cooking. Everything was perfect, especially the beds. They were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.

Fernleaf cottage

We had an amazing stay at Fernleaf cottage. The home itself was clean, perfectly decorated and appropriately stocked. The neighborhood is quiet and walking distance to some great restaurants, the coves and CDM beach. There were several boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, a wagon, toys and towels for us to use. The beds are extremely comfortable and rooms spacious and exactly as pictured. The grass area in the back was great for our boys to run around and we thoroughly enjoyed the sunsets and 4th of July fireworks shows from the rooftop deck. Looking forward to returning!

Amazing CDM rental

Ahead of our stay, Jennifer was always extremely responsive and helpful with any questions I had. The check-in process is seamless and the house is perfection. It’s well equipped with anything you might need for your stay. The house has plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to hang in, making it the kind of home that you don’t want to leave. We watched the sunsets every night from the rooftop deck and enjoyed the short walk to the beach. All the beds are extremely comfortable and having 2.5 baths accommodates larger groups. We loved our time there and would definitely recommend this home to anyone considering it!

Perfect beach cottage

I love Newport and CDM and the house is on a quiet street. I took my daughters to stay while my daughter performed at Disneyland. I felt safe. We were barely at the home I wished we could have enjoyed it and all the amenities. We only had the chance to sleep there and were off early in the mornings. We parked down the street, but it wasn’t a far walk. Thank you for having us.

Beach Comfort in Corona Del Mar

The accommodations are exactly what our family needed...clean, comfortable, well stocked w all needs, & excellent location. The house is a short walk down the street to Pirate's Cove (less busy beach) and Corona Del Mar State Beach (better waves but packed during the weekend). Family members chose their fav beach vibe. Property owners provide more than enough beach chairs, towels, coolers, umbrella, boogie boards, toys, & wagon. Local restaurants and small markets are walkable from the property. Time flies while taking long walks and jogs in the neighborhood. The mall is a short Uber ride if you prefer to leave your SUV parked (larger vehicles don't fit in garage space). Part of our family chose to Uber to Disneyland as well for a day. The house provides multiple areas for relaxation and restoration - the deck for breakfast and sunsets, front and back yard to read or workout, and rooms have enough space for 8 people to comfortably recharge. The beds were comfortable for all family members. We'll be returning next summer!

Charming home and great location

Property was very clean, nicely decorated and well-appointed. Very commodious for lots of guests with three bathrooms and many beds. We were a party of three and it was perfect. Only a few hiccups—broken blind in upstairs bedroom and garage door wouldn’t close when we departed. House would benefit from some reading lights in the bedrooms and a standup light in the LR. Also the upstairs shower floor gets really slippery once wet. So a non-skid mat or handle bar would be beneficial. Good supply of spices, coffee (yay—Peets!), snacks and some staples. Weather wasn’t great so we didn’t use the beach chairs or grill. Tarp on upstairs deck is unattractive but looks like dry rot underneath it. Front door has dry rot as well. Just mentioning this because my vacation home has the same issue. We absolutely adored this home and would love to return someday! Perfect location as was walkable to my daughter’s wedding at the Sherman Gardens and also convenient for shopping and restaurants.

Beautiful home in perfect location. We walked everywhere. To the beach, to the tide pools and to PCH for restaurants and shopping. The rooftop deck is perfect for sunsets and the home is well stocked. Would love to return.

January getaway

This house was incredible. Extremely clean. Extremely well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. It was decorated in the quintessential coastal style. The location was amazing. The beach was a very short walk from the house. The rooftop was our favorite place to have coffee and hangout. We had couple of rainy days and the house was even equipped with fun lawn games perfect for the outdoor space. The outdoor spaces were PERFECT especially in the time of covid so we could hang out safely and comfortably outside with family members staying a few blocks away. The property manager was beyond helpful. We really hope to return and stay in this house in the future.
