Beautiful location, very welcoming hosts and lovely accommodation.

We had an amazing week in the beautiful French sunshine. The pool was wonderful for the children and everything was clean and tidy. To be able to walk to the lakes and swim, with no other soul in sight was something I didn’t expect. Eric and his wife were very friendly. The accommodation had everything and the nearby town of Montpon had a good supermarket that sold everything we needed. Was a lovely location and lovely holiday, thank you Eric and Laetitia, we will hopefully see you again soon .

Wat hebben wij genoten van deze prachtige locatie. We zochten rust en natuur, en dat krijg je hier volop! Onze gastvrouw Laetitia en haar man Eric waren geweldig! Een fantastisch zwembad voor jong en oud. Pingpong tafel en een speciaal petanque veld aanwezig(zeer vermakelijk) In de omgeving is genoeg te zien en te doen. Wekelijks dorpsfeest in Le Pizou is een aanrader! Kijk als het donker is eens naar de sterren, een ware belevenis om te zien! Earl la Font de Touny is geweldig, en wij komen hier zeker terug!

Excellent!

Our stay at another Gite fell through, leaving us to find alternative accomodation at the very last minute. With few other options open to us, we booked Cottage Mais. It was therefore wonderful to find that we had fallen on our feet. The Gite is one of two in the centre of a maize farm. It is clean, well maintained, and nicely furnished and decorated. Eric's earlier career as an interior designer shows. There is a large heated pool (which the pictures do not do justice) and a small lake, which makes a change from the pool. Eric and Laetitia are great hosts and made us most welcome. Eric's guided tour of the farm was an unexpected highlight while Laetitia brought us fresh fruit from their trees. It is apparent that they have spent a lot of time, money, and effort establishing the Gites. The result is possibly the best of the many Gites we have stayed in over the years.

Location à recommander

Cette location correspond bien à la description faite sur le site. L'endroit très calme permet de découvrir les dessous de la culture du maïs, de se promener dans la propriété, de s'essayer au pédalo sur un des deux lacs, d'utiliser les vélos mis gracieusement à notre disposition, de jouer tennis de table (raquettes et balles à disposition). Mais surtout, l'accueil du propriétaire et de sa famille qui est formidable : explication du fonctionnement de l'exploitation agricole, contacts sympas journaliers, aucun problème dans le partage de la piscine, confiance totale pour l'utilisation de tout ce qui est mis à notre disposition. Bref, nous avons eu l'impression d'être plus que des locataires, mais des amis de longue date.
