I was visiting my daughter who just moved to South Carolina. She stayed with me along with her 2 sons. The view was amazing! The back yard was huge. Lots of room to run and play. The big boys enjoyed the kajaking. It was perfect. I will stay there again if I go back to South Carolina.

This is the perfect lake cottage. We enjoyed our week. Fully stocked with everything we needed. Loved having our boat at the dock too. We will definitely rent again! Renee is always a pleasure to work with!

We had my bachelorette trip here and it was so fun!! The home and view is so much more beautiful in person. The lake felt good and the home was stocked with essentials! Would love to come here again.

Property was nice. View of the lake was good. Parking with a boat trailer was a bit tight but we made it work. I will rent again if we have tournaments there.

Thanks Triston, if parking were tight, you should have used the airplane hangar next door we recommended you park at, or at least all of the trailers your group brought. Sorry we didn't hit the 10/10 we strive for, but we just spent a mint to fix the flooring you pointed out, we needed additional support beneath the floor, it was a weeklong project, but perfection!

Location and setting was outstanding. Owner was great to work with, quick responses meeting all our requests. House size was small with step down in hall - reason for overall rating of 4 stars.Enjoyed our short stay.

Beautiful!!

This cottage is perfect and has an incredible location! It was clean and cozy, we loved all the windows overlooking the lake. The host/property manager were very attentive and helpful, more so than many places we have stayed! Loved Kayaking and spending so much time on the porch. Thank you for an amazing stay! We will be back!

Family wedding and we rented three houses on the lake next to each other. It was perfect for that. Beautiful views and nature abounds. It's an older little lake cabin affordably priced that suited our needs just fine. The house slept 5 (one couple) very comfortably. Good AC and washer/dryer. Comfortable beds, plenty of bathroom space but better pillows wouldn't hurt. The property manager(s) were stellar, responsive and helpful. Loved the porch time! Sadly , Didn't get to use the kayaks provided!

The swim area was great and dock! The house needs upgrade on pillows and and the pull out sofa bed wasnt even comfortable for a little kid! Porch needs upgrade on cushions! Location was great! No where for a family to sit and eat a meal together

Hey Carolyn, so happy you were able to take full advantage of the dock, the boat ramp and swimming and fishing in our cove! We know you all were a little crammed into the cabin and we are reducing the party size allowed at the cabin because of this. We noted your requests for updated pillows and cushions, just nothing we could accomplish during your stay time. We trust the location was a 10 out of 10, because that is what everyone says (in a cove, end of the road privacy, Camden side with the sunsets, access to a boat ramp, your own dock and water toys), sorry that the size just was not what you were expecting. So for anyone reading these reviews, which is most booking guests, this is definitely a smaller 3 bedroom without a 6-8 person dining room table, but still a 3 bedroom on Lake Wateree on a budget and with style, nonetheless!

We just returned from our 5 night stay. We had such a wonderful time! This property is exactly as pictured, simple and perfect. We enjoyed each morning sipping coffee on the deck. We had a blast fishing at the lake which is only a few short steps away. If you are looking for a cute, comfortable, peaceful place to stay on the lake -look no further!!

The house was perfect in location and the property manager was very helpful when we requested additional paper towels and TP. We checked early and the cleaner wasn't finished, but was very nice. If you bring a boat, be aware that it is difficult to turn around and back your boat in. There is a private ramp very close which was very nice to use.

it is important to note that the cleaner was finished before check-in time, just not fully finished for your early arrival, but she is always accommodating! We would suggest using the driveway next door to back in and out, that would be easier than turning around 180 in our yard :)

Updated Lake House

This outdoor space is amazing!!!! I loved having all the room to just fish or swim, & the sunsets were absolutely stunning!!! House was beautiful & very well cleaned before arrival! The only things was the 3rd bedroom is a twin bed with a trundle bed. (It is noted in description of listing, I just missed that part.) However, the teen boys were fine sharing this room and we all enjoyed our time together. I’m glad we picked here for our first visit to Lake Wateree! Thanks for having us!

We had a great time staying here! The communication from management was very friendly and quick/responsive. The instructions for check in and out were easy to follow. The roads around this house were not busy at all; the part of the lake it is on was also not overly busy. We heard fairly constant motor noise but it was Labor Day weekend and being in this little cove made it distant and therefore not very loud. Neighbors were friendly and there was always some kind of activity to see from our bank/dock. The kitchen had a good selection of mugs, glasses, dishes, and pots/pans/baking sheets. There were K-Cup coffees and teas provided. The porch was very big and covered, but not screened in. That made for better views, and there were surprisingly few bugs around the house and lake anyways. We went to several stores and restaurants nearby as well as a little grill/bait shop at a very close-by boat ramp. We arrived just as some live acoustic music had finished. There is no ladder on the dock and a rocky bank/wall for pretty much the width of the lot. Easy enough to walk out from swimming, but I could see that being a hindrance to launching/beaching kayaks, which we did not try to do this time. Overall this was a very great house with lots of character and charm!

Love that you loved your time on Lake Wateree at our lakehouse! The Camden side is definitely where you go to see sunsets every night! Being in a cove keeps the lake noise at bay and the traffic down for sure (also having dead ends for the roads in help too!) - til next time!!!

Steps from the water! Amazing views! And, convenient to shopping and restaurants. We'd come back for sure! Can't say enough about how responsive the host was! Internet and phone service (Veriz) good.Having the boat ramp right there was fantastic! We dropped/pulled out a 21' bowrider with no problems. As another guest wrote, the maneuvering of the boat/trailer at the cabin was a bit challenging but doable. It was pretty easy to turn around/ back in at the ramp. The Cabin is a little older/dated (not updated like the other cabins next door, so just few things to simply make note of: no working ice maker during our stay, kind of 'tacky' feeling kitchen counters, the step down/up in the hallway, and sliding door a little difficult to close the last few inches - just had to just give it a good strong push). But, overall, worked for us just fine. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent this or one of the other cabins next door by the same owners.

Adorable, great location, perfect rental!

I cannot say enough nice things about this cute house! There is tons of space and privacy, a beautiful dock in the best cove on the lake, absolutely adorable interior and a GREAT back porch with a view of Lake Wateree. We are already picking dates for our next trip. The owners and the rental manager are so nice and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful Memorial Day week!!! We can’t wait to come back! Plenty of room for a crowd!!!
