Lakefront Retreat Perfect for Families & Groups

Discover an unforgettable getaway at this stunning lakefront property, perfect for families, groups, or retreats. Enjoy 5 spacious bedrooms, a cozy fireplace, and panoramic lake views. Unwind with a private dock, kayaking, and an outdoor firepit for serene lakeside evenings. The game room offers fun for all, while the kitchen and BBQ area make meals easy. Surrounded by nature trails and local attractions, this peaceful retreat blends comfort and adventure for a perfect year-round escape.

Perfect for a memorable Winter getaway with your family or friends. Spend the days outside in nature during this amazing season and experience winter by the lake. Shawnee Mountain is only 35 minutes away and perfect for the family. Mountain Creek is 30 minutes away and has lots of runs for all skill levels.

The house itself also has lots of space. There are 5 bedrooms. One master on the upper level and three downstairs, along with a play room. There is another "hidden" bedroom in the loft, along with a peloton bike, for those who need to keep their steak going ;). There are two office spaces. One on the main floor next to the master and one in the loft.

All the bathrooms in the house have been recently remodeled with new tubs, sinks, toilets, modern, high-end fittings, Italian marble and heated floors.
For rest and relaxation, there is a main living room overlooking the lake. There is another sitting room with French sliding doors and a fireplace so you can feel like you are outside in the forest while sitting by a warm fireplace. Last, there is a game room with a TV, card table and bar, a place for the grown-ups to play while the kids are asleep.

There is also a covered garage which guests can use to park one car.

Please note that swimming in the lake and using the trampoline are at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty, and safety precautions should be taken at all times. We encourage all guests to supervise children closely and use their best judgment when enjoying these amenities.

Lovely home with several common spaces that made it feel even larger than it was. Well appointed and clean with small features such as games, toys, and boxes of tissue that made it feel that the host paid attention to every detail. We stayed in December but the water toys and outdoor spaces would make a fantastic place to stay in warmer weather. I had a few questions pre trip and the host replied quickly. My family decided that we should stay here next time the family Christmas is in New Jersey.

A week of fun on Lake Owassa

We had a lovely time at this exceptionally well-appointed rental on Lake Owassa. The area is calm and sweet, the neighbors friendly, and the animal life abundant--a bear, fox, bald eagle, heron.... The many boats and floats were much appreciated by adults and children alike.

Our stay was so enjoyable. The home is large and homey. The lake was clear and so welcoming to swim in. Even my 94 year old father went in the water. The owner was very accommodating, granted all our requests and was very understanding.

House and property felt much larger than the pictures seemed to present with a great lake for swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boat, everything water related! Loft room is completely separated from the house so if one of the people staying want 'quiet' from the rest of the family/party it is a great option.Dining table for the little ones with 3 chairs was greatly appreciated and useful!Fair warning, as pets are allowed, previous party must of had a white dog as there was quite a bit of hair on the couch and in the 'master' bedroom and one of our party members needed allergy medicine everyday to cope.

Relaxing Oasis Lakeside

The rooms were spacious and the living spaces were interesting and well laid out for all of us to relax. The kitchen had great amenities for me to bake some things for our party. The beds were comfortable. The water pressure was low except for the downstairs bathroom. This worked out really well as it was very close to our event and it was beautiful for my party of friends to relax by the lake.

Fun will totally rent this one again.

Loved this place. We booked it because there were no hotels available in the area and we were all competing at a local horse show. This house offer a bunch of water activities. Lots of space. The house has plenty of basic that you need. It is lived in but very clean and comfortable. I kinda wanted to meet the family and party with them by the end. Very comfortable home. Deer everywhere which was fun. The view was amazing.

Perfect Lake Retreat

This home was perfect for our needs! My 5 adult children and I wanted to reunite together in one place while in NJ and this house delivered. It was also accommodating for my 1 year old granddaughter. 5 great bedrooms with 4 queen/king beds is hard to find. Do not be fooled by the listed "Loft" bedroom. It's the best and most private room in the house with a king bed and full bathroom! (the stairs are worth the deck and view) Lakeside views, fire pit, grill, watercraft, multi-level decks, well stocked kitchen, easy communications and several social areas/living rooms were all part of our great experience. Can't recommend it enough.

Fantastic!

Beautiful clean house, beautiful property! Very well stocked kitchen and house with all the little extras you need. Very kids friendly with tons of toys. Kayak, paddleboat, lifejackets etc all in great condition. Awesome place, I wish we had stayed longer. Owner was very friendly and prompt in answering my messages. Would definitely recommend.
