Waterfront Family Cabin near Bushkill Falls, golfing,,fishing and hiking trails !This two story Chalet is solid redwood and sits on the Big Bushkill creek and has the view and water sounds that make you get up early; get your coffee, and sit on the upper deck, and just enjoy. There is an out door fire pit right next to the Bushkill creek where it just does not get any better. We have great WIFI AND SMART TV,!!!. May, June and July are great for floating down creek with tubes, fishing and swimming. We have two ski slopes nearby,,SHAWNEE is 10 minutes away and CAMELBACK is 25 minutes away.
The full service kitchen is stocked with all you will need to cook. We have two full bathrooms with new tile showers. The large master bedroom, Family room, and kitchen are on second floor overlooking the beautiful stream. A wall of glass doors lets the view into the family room.
Down stairs there is two other bed rooms, T V and game set up
and a professional pool table. Another wall of glass lets the view blend into the room. This house comes fully stocked,,we even supply Firewood, as well as propane,all paper products,,trash bags,,tubes for creek,,great wifi(orbi),

Relaxing and quiet

House is in a perfect setting. We enjoyed watching and listening to the river flow while sitting by the fire. The kids loved playing in the water. The host is easy to communicate with if you have questions or concerns. Plenty of supplies provided. We enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful scenery, enjoyed the sights and sounds of the creek while relaxing by the firepit.

Being able to relax by the firepit right by the creek and take in the changing scenery of fall leaves was great. Relaxing creekside hangout.

Relaxing!

The property was exactly as described and in such a gorgeous location. It was perfect for a week-long getaway There was plenty to do in the surrounding area and nights were spent by the fire listening to the creek. I hope to come back sometime.

Lovely spot

Great for adults, but no cell signal and intermittent WIFI made for difficult teenagers. Water is beautiful and had full use of the grill. The kids loved eating outside and the fire pit. Really lovely spot!

We enjoyed a few days to celebrate another one of us turning 50. The home and property provided everything we needed to relax, grill, fish, swim and tube. Harris is a very gracious host and provided some advice on good fishing spots.

Mom's Weekend Getaway

My friends and I meet every year for a long weekend of relaxation and connection. We LOVED this cabin. The location was private and felt remote, but the necessary shops were only a 15 minute ride. The water was gorgeous, and we were able to hear the stream all hours. The host was responsive, communicative, responsible and accommodating. We're short listing this cabin for next year, as we all came home to our families feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Property owner responded less than a minute He was extremely helpful with every questions we had . We check out on Sunday but because the home was available on Monday , he offer us to check out on a later time . I think that was something every property owner should consider. quiet and serene getaway . went in april between seasons - so not a lot to do unfortunately, the weather was cold - but did manage to light a fire outdoors . my only constructive criticism - Really wish the indoor fireplace was working, but the climate inside was fine. Harris was a delight , very professional and accommodating - could not ask for a more pleasant host . Thankyou

Very beautiful place but wasn’t clean

Very beautiful place we loved the stay but the table outside r not clean i had to use towels in order to cover the table... I couldn’t let my kids sit on the dirty table.. owner had a problem for us using the towels. Than he should’ve cleaned the table. Dish washer was not working. We thought we will turn on the dishwasher before we leave but realized at the end dish washer wasn’t working. Paid so much for cleaning rooms n still owner complained we didn’t clean the house.. so plz make sure tables r clean.. owner only communicates through text messages.. not too much internet there..

Great Family Getaway in Bushkill

Harris is an excellent host - very responsive and nice personality. Lives within minutes but gave us total privacy. Answered all texts immediately. Location in a quiet neighborhood. Totally safe. Close to a lot of activities. View and sound of the creek were amazing. Loved the decks. Plenty of seating. Firepit was so nice and right next to the creek and close to the house. No bugs or mosquitos. Creek level was low so swimming and tubing was not available in mid-August. Gas grill right next to the kitchen. Nice feature. Nice for a small dog. Pool table and cornhole game was fun. Superb wifi for our well connected family of 6 people. Great combo drip and K-cup Keurig made hot coffee and kept is hot on the burner. Super air fryer and 4-slice toaster. Plenty of seating to eat and sit around. Bathrooms were new and nice and clean. Well water was good. Furnishings are dated and some could be replaced. Closets were large but filled with bins and other stuff making them not totally available for use. Good A/C. Two nice TV's. Plenty of dishes, knives. Dishwasher worked well. If you are a clean-freak, be prepared to do some cleaning. Beautiful views of creek through the many sliding glass doors. We had a great time here.

Absolutely great location and great communication with the owner. We had a drizzly weekend at the end of September - so stuck inside where the some of the attributes of the cabin detracted from the location I should have read previous reviews and looked at pictures more closely. I didn't appreciate how many steps there were from the driveway to the living level upstairs. The 5 steps up from the driveway to the lower level were steep and difficult for us to manage with supplies and luggage. Once inside, we found the downstairs to be very musty and not inviting as the sliding doors were not operable so there was no cross ventilation on that level. The steps to the main living level (kitchen, living area) were, again, steep. Not the greatest situation for our ailing and replaced knees. A couple obvious misses, 1) there was a pile of dirty bed linens on the floor of one of the downstairs bedrooms and cobwebs above the bed in that same room, 2) no aluminum foil in the kitchen to help with cooking and clean up. If we were younger, and there in the high water months, we would have loved to take advantage of the tubes and spend time actually in the water. All in all, Despite the weather and the steps, we did have a good time. I wish I had booked the other property that this owner referred to in his description. VRBO listing 1597879. Then we would have had a single floor, great location and a great communicating owner.

The river and privacy was perfect. Cleanliness not satisfactory.

I booked this mainly because of the reviews on cleanliness plus it was on the river that I like in Bushkill from past rentals. Upon arrival, We were very upset on the non-cleanliness. We almost did not stay there due to the place was very dirty. I spent the first night cleaning the second floor especially the kitchen before I even brought my food in. I washed all pots-pans-dishes and wiped all surfaces thoroughly throughout the second floor. Wash all bedding and blankets. Cleaned inside and outside slider doors so I could see the beautiful surroundings. My husband calmed me down during all this by building a fire down by the river with a glass of wine. I slowly relaxed and saw the beauty of why we rented this home. The WiFi was not good. Once a day I would receive all my mail-text messages all at once. Then lose connection again. There was no Hot tub as advertised. I waited to express my concerns after we left to go home because I didn’t want to ruin anyones holiday. Owner was extremely nice!!!! Refunded the cleaning fee. Explained the circumstances of his cleaning crew situation. Overall I spent most of my time outside enjoying the surroundings which in turn was exactly what we both needed!! I enjoyed being with family. I would like to go back because of the outside atmosphere yet it needs a deep clean. I would’ve gave this review five stars if it had been clean. The river and privacy itself was perfect.

We enjoyed our stay at the rustic, quiet Bushkill Falls chalet. We enjoyed the sound of the creek even though the water was low this time of year. The guys were a little disappointed they didn't see any trout, but learned spring would be better time for trout fishing. The host was very accessible and helpful with questions.
