Escape your everyday routine and enjoy a relaxing getaway on the beautiful Rock River at the mouth of Lake Koshkonong. Our private pier, huge backyard and large deck overlooking the water is the perfect place to unwind with family and friends. Bring your boat or rent one down the road!

To respect neighbors, quiet hours (no loud music or noise) begin at 9PM Sunday night through Thursday night and 10PM Friday night and Saturday night.

A maximum of four vehicles are allowed in our driveway. The end of our driveway is shared to allow access to the vacant lake access lot next door.

Excellent get away

We had a wonderful time! The house was so clean.. we could tell the hosts put a lot of thought into the house. The area was also a lot of fun and we were able to rent a boat for the day.

We stayed here as our home base while participating in Madison Wisconsin Ironman! The place was great - had all the amenities we needed and was safe, beautiful, and cozy. It was excellent!

Family Weekend

We enjoyed the home and location very much. Plenty of room and everything worked. We loved being on the water and the ability to dock our boat right at the house. Lots of yard space for the adults and the two year old! We enjoyed all of the deck space and used the fire pit to make s'mores!

Family reunion

Lovely house. Communication, furnishings and cleanliness excellent. A bit of traffic noise. Would have liked use of a canoe.

Great spot for Thanksgiving with family

We enjoyed our time at the Rock River house. It was comfortable, well appointed, and perfect for a small family gathering over Thanksgiving (four staying at the house, eight seated with plenty of room at the table for dinner). Just off the highway, it's easy to get to and offers beautiful views of the river, a nice-sized kitchen and large yard with fire pit. We'd definititely consider a return visit.

Great Getaway Location on the River

The house was great for a weekend getaway with our family and a few friends. The house itself was great regarding its layout, cleanliness, and amenities. The outside space was also great, particularly with kids, as they enjoyed swimming in the river and the sizeable yard for playing games.

This is a great house for our family to gather.

We had 7 members of our family enjoy our stay here. The house is set up perfectly to gather a large family with two young grandsons. The main dinning/living room was a large enough room that we could all eat together and gather to relax at the end of the day. There is also the game room and den that offered extra places to be in smaller groups or let the children play. The wrap around deck has was a nice place to enjoy the outside. We used the firepit at night, and enjoyed the river pier for fishing. We enjoyed our stay 5 stars!!

amazing winter getaway on the lake!

cottage was warm and inviting and we enjoyed a cozy winter stay with amazing view of the lake. House was immaculate and very inviting! we really enjoyed!!

Great place for Thanksgiving + Family reunion

Rachel's place was perfect for our small family gathering for Thanksgiving, providing enough amenities to cook and enjoy the space, while also being close enough to Madison to easily visit nearby family. Would definitely stay again!

Spotless retreat on the water

This place was sparkling clean and super cozy. Beautiful view from the sunroom and ample deck space to enjoy the outdoors. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. It was spotless which we are picky about and the host was great to communicate with. We will definitely stay again!

Great Weekend

We had a really great weekend at this property. The house was very clean and inviting. Our family really enjoyed being on the water. Thanks again for everything. The snack basket was a real nice touch!

Excellent property!

We had a wonderful experience. The host was amazing with her communication and the house was clean and adorable. It was a great location right at the mouth of the river/lake. We brought our boat. The lake is very shallow and not ideal for cruising close to the shore, just an FYI. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely return!
