The unit was exactly as expected. Very clean and in a lovely location. The pool was a nice amenity. The bed frame could be improved as it was a little shaky. I would stay again.
My stay was excellent - the owner was incredibly attentive and responsive to my inquiries and concerns. The property itself is gorgeous - a pool, tennis courts - the yard itself was gorgeous. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Wow, Rebecca! Thank you so much! It was a pleasure to have you and we hope you come back again soon!
My parents enjoyed staying here for a second time in a different suite. It was a very clean, quiet, and comfortable suite. They prefer staying here instead of at a hotel. Thanks for taking great care of them!

Thank you so much, Karen! It is a treat to have them staying with us and I hope they come back again soon!
Overall, we had a great stay. This particular room (Suite E) had no thermostat so we were at the mercy of someone else's temperature choice. Fortunately, whoever had the thermostat wasn't too drastic with the heat.
There was no window to open to enjoy the cool air at night which was disappointing. The entry french door let in plenty of natural light just no way to leave it cracked open to get fresh air securely at night.
The proximity to Shenandoah Natural Park was very convenient and Charlottesville was about 30-minutes to downtown.
Kitchenette was well-equipped for a long weekend.

John, we are so glad to hear you had a great stay and got to enjoy our beautiful Shenandoah National Park and the city of Charlottesville while you were here! I'm glad the temperature was not a problem. The thermostat is kept at 70 degrees and we provide a fan, spare blanket and space heater to ensure our guests have just the right temperature, despite there not being a thermostat in that suite! You were a great guest and we hope you choose to stay with us again!
The property is lovely, comfortable, and as described. The host is attentive and communicative—the home deserves its high rating and visitors will enjoy their stay. I, however, will probably not rebook for a couple of reasons:1)The pre-arrival COVID questionnaire felt unusually detailed and personal, listing more than a dozen health symptoms or situations for each guest to answer, which I then assume the host will judge if any of the answers were in the affirmative (Headache? Muscle pain?). While I understand the intent may have been safety or insurance compliance, it was far too far invasive for my preference. Ask me if I have or have been exposed to COVID if you must, but I resent being required to provide personal health details I normally only share with my doctor.2)While the not-insignificant cleaning fee wasn’t unreasonable, the list of "required" checkout tasks ("Bag all trash and place it in the large trashcans on the patio level. Wash all dishes, utensils, etc. Clean out and wipe off refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, electric burner, etc.," among other duties) struck me as odd. These are items I always complete, but a pleasant request over a cleaning directive would have been nice. Tone matters, especially when I’m tasked with items that should have fallen under my cleaning fee.The property was still delightful and fortunately, both of these items would be easy to adjust. I wish the host continued success and many more happy guests in the future.
