Brand new for winter 2024, this beautiful apartment sits within the newly renovated Chalet Montana. Set in the heart of Morzine, at the foot of the Pléney slopes, it’s the perfect spot to make the most of your holiday, whether you want to ski all day everyday or take in the town and relax. Convenience is the key word, with the town’s two main ski lifts within a three to four minutes walk, and the other essentials like a supermarket, bakery, restaurants and bars no further.
Whilst you have all this on your doorstep, we’re confident that once you're at the apartment, you won’t want to leave. The open plan kitchen, living and dining room is made for entertaining and happy holidays, shared with family and friends. The five spacious bedrooms (plus an extra bunk room if needed) means that everyone can come along, and five en-suite bathrooms means that no one will be queuing for the shower.
All in all, we think it’s the perfect balance of comfort and convenience.
Apartment Montana 1 is all about ease. Whether you want to explore the Morzine and Les Gets ski area from the Pléney lift just along the road (3 minutes walk); or head over to Avoriaz and beyond from the Super Morzine lift (4 minutes walk), nowhere in the Portes du Soleil is out of reach, and you won’t break a sweat getting there.
Once you hang up your skis for the day, all you need to do is cross the road to enjoy a locally brewed craft beer, or sample some local delicacies like La Potence or Fondue Savoyarde. If you’re in the mood to go that little bit further, within a two minutes walk you have all the shops, bars and restaurants that Morzine has to offer; and if you really want to spread your wings, the free shuttle bus stop is just down the road, giving access to the town’s surrounding areas, like the beautiful Vallée de la Manche (a great spot for the non-skiers in the group), and the Prodains Express (for anyone who spends a little too long at the famous La Folie Douce aprés-ski bar in Avoriaz).
You’re not just renting a location with this apartment though; having had a full internal rework and renovation, you are renting the perfect space for family gatherings, having a laugh with friends, and a place to call home for your holiday.
The expansive open plan kitchen, living and dining area means no one is relegated to the kitchen to prepare dinner on their own; and while we’re not going to pretend that cooking for 11/12 is a breeze, this high spec kitchen with XL oven certainly helps to make it easier. The 4 ring XL induction hob on the kitchen island means the chef can share in the conversation, the apéro, or even a film on the Ultra HD smart television, all whilst preparing a delicious meal (or not, we aren’t judging). And when it comes to the clean up, you’ll find that the dishwasher takes most of the strain, leaving you with more time to relax over a coffee or that last glass of wine...
With a dining table fit for a feast and plenty of sofa space, the living/dining area is tailor-made for nights in together. You can just imagine collapsing on the sofa after a day on the slopes, or sitting around the table with a bottle of wine (chilled to perfection in the wine fridge), all whilst listening to your favourite songs via the Bluetooth speaker. For those preferring some time to themselves or their choice of the channels, there is a separate games room with HD smart television and Xbox One.
The huge windows mean the apartment is bathed in light, and in the summer you can open up the doors to bring the outside inside. With a terrace that adjoins the garden, you can spend long summer evenings gazing up at the mountains, and the BBQ caters for al fresco dining.
Five well-sized en-suite bedrooms, which can be made up as twin beds or a king bed, offer versatile accommodation for all groups. Plus, the games room doubles up as an extra bedroom if needed, so in total up to 12 people can stay comfortably. An abundance of storage space means you can pack as many clothes as you like, but if you prefer hand luggage, then the washing machine and dryer will ensure you won’t be running out of clothes by the end of the week.
If you’re wondering about parking or where to put your skis or bike?... There’s no need to worry as Apartment Montana 1 has access to the building’s private underground parking, secure ski storage, and boot lockers equipped with boot dryers. And if you’re coming in the summer, you’ll find secure bike storage and bike wash facilities, so you can make the most of the infamous Pléney mountain bike trails behind the apartment.
