Old Town Faro

A lovely place within one minute of the Mediaeval town walls and harbour. Lots of space (and two showers - great for a family!). Your host is amazing, communicative with lots of suggestions for restaurants and activities.

The location is wonderful - close enough to hop on the ferry/ lots of wonderful restaurants within a couple of minutes stroll. The host really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and to make sure the property suited our needs. We loved the character of the property.

Quick getaway

The property owner was very attentive and made sure we had all the information before we arrived. We coordinated the arrival time and gave us places to see and eat upon arrival. The property was exactly how the listing described it. We were very impressed and satisfied. There was parking on site and a great view from the wall. The property is centrally located to everything.

Good location, older property

Overall a decent experience. The host was great; very communicative. Easy check in. Large accommodation inside and out (there is an outdoor terrace). Cleanliness could have been better. The kitchen and bath area smelled sour (like sewage backup at times). However due to the size of the property you really didn’t notice it unless you were in those rooms. Provided needed toiletries - soap, shampoo, dish detergent, coffee, etc. Also has a washing machine which was super helpful.

We stayed here for 3 nites the end of Sept. We were not sure what to expect by the pictures online, but it exceeded our expectations!! The apt is in the old walls and you can walk on the top of them to enjoy the beautiful water views and planes arriving. The apt was very clean and had been recently remodeled with new fixtures and showers, yes there are 2 showers! There was also a washing machine and the smallest dishwasher in history, so cute!! Location was perfect, we walked everywhere! Lot's of great restaurants within the walls as well. Faro is a quaint and lovely town, great shops and old buildings, look up to see the storks! The apt has a small patio with wicker chairs that lead out to the courtyard with tables and chairs. It appears to be a bar maybe in high season, but nothing while we were there, although they were setting up to have movie night after we left. The host and groundskeepers were all friendly, although not much english, but we got by. Surprise gift when we arrived was much appreciated!! Our only complaint,,, that we couldn't stay longer!! Highly recommend!

Tolle Unterkunft direkt an der Stadtmauer.

Die Unterkunft ist sauber und gut ausgestattet. Der Gastgeber freundlich und gibt gerne Auskunft. Man erlebt ein Stück Geschichte hautnah, man kann die Stadtmauer begehen direkt vom Garten, die Unterkunft befindet sich sozusagen direkt in der Stadtmauer und der Parkplatz des Autos befindet sich in einer Ruine. Ein Erlebnis. Der einzige Nachteil, eine Party mit lauter Musik direkt über uns in der Nacht. Trotzdem empfehlenswert.

Schöne Ferienwohnung in der Altstadt von Faro

Schöne Ferienwohnung, an der Stadtmauer der Altstadt, in der Wohnung fehlt eine Möglichkeit zu kochen. Im Herbst etwas dunkel, was im Frühjahr und Sommer ein Vorteil ist! Jetzt im Oktober in der von uns gebuchten Woche, starke Lärmbelastung durch das stattfinden eines Volksfest, das sollte man wissen wenn man für Oktober Bucht. Der Gastgeber freundlich kompetent, schnell bereit Fragen zu beantworten u. Anliegen zu erfüllen. Außer im Oktober kommen wir gerne wieder!
