Family Vacation

Liked being outside of big city but close enough to get to many attractions. If it wasn’t over 104 every day we would have done more but enjoyed what we could. Place had plenty of room for 9 people didn’t feel crowded. Very comfortable and accommodating. Enjoyed the pool with the heat. Easy check in. Beds were comfortable we got a good night sleep.

This property was over all okay. Lack of cleaning detail, the mattress in the master bedroom felt worn out the firmness was gone and I had a swore back from it. Also the water pressure to the showers was low. Although the it was cold when we stayed, the pool was dirty.

Overall stay.

The property was in a great location. The swimming pool is not as big as it is seen in pictures. There is no lights around the pool. The patio furniture needs updating. The yard needed mowing. The property manager was quick to respond and allowed us to extended our stay which we were so grateful for. Overall a great house.

Everything was as listed and very nice. The only issue we had was the washing machine was making a lot of noice and vibrated all over. The response to this was quick but was not fixed. The dryer did not work well took 3 cycles to dry the towels.

Blanco Rd property

Perfect location for our family Christmas gathering. We didn’t spend much time at the VRBO as we had family living in the area and just looking for a place to stay at night. We made a few of our side dishes at the Vrbo and so glad it had 2 ovens. Some essential kitchen items were missing or didn’t work (can opener was broken) but we made due. Bring your own paper towels as they were not supplied as well as trash can liners. Hallway shower needs shower head to be descaled as water trickled out and basically not functional. Overall it met our needs and grateful for the owners opening up their home for rent.

My family and i stayed there june 17-22. The pictures really grabbed me. When we got there, the pictures looked much better than the actual spot. Everything that was listed was there just was not what we expected when we got there. This place has so much potential! Its definitely outdated so needs remodeling. Cabinets need work. Pool was nice but not the size the picture made it seem. Kids love it though. Besides a main road located right behind home, it is in a nice quiet neighborhood. Every is close. Washer and dryer did not work properly. Overall it was ok just need updated pictures posted.

Family Reunion

The check ✔️ in was smooth and easy. The property needs some good deep cleaning from inside and outside. Number 1 its a Vacation Rental most people like to BBQ when they are relaxing and they had an old dirty rusty BBQ not safe to use it. Zero seating area in the backyard, only one old pool louncher and an old wood table in front yard that is not safe to use it too. For the price they charge they sure need a good deep cleaning, update some of its furniture and beddings... very old appliances.. and that kitchen table is on its way out too 🙄 over all we were all disappointed we payed good amount of 🤑🤑 for something sooo not worth the $$ definitely did not look like the original photos they have online

The kitchen needs a lot of work!!! The dishes are good but pots n pans needs to be replaced. The house is very large. The sofa was nice but the dining room table is not stable. The bathrooms are large but bring toilet paper - only 1 roll provided. Bring paper towels and garbage bags. You will have to separate garbage from recycling!!!! Dollar tree can be your place to grab essentials. Found a LARGE tarantula in the shower !!! Under the sink is a hole to outside! The patio furniture is not comfortable! THIS RENTAL HAS A LOT OF RULES FROM THE PROPERTY OWNER!!!

We had a great family vacation!

We had to book last minute because another site overbooked the house we originally booked and paid for. The house had more the enough room to accommodate my family. It could use some updating, but I sent a message right away to the owners about damage I noticed so they would be aware and they answered right away. It was cleaned o. The surface but a deep clean is probably in order soon. I read another review that complained about the different level floors. The master bedroom is lower than the kitchen and master bath but it isn’t an issue; you just had to be conscience of the step downs. I would have preferred more water pressure and a door on the master bath to keep the heat in the bathroom but in comparison to the rest of the house it really isn’t a deterrent. The pool was a bit dirty from the tree that hangs over it, but I messaged the owner and within an hour someone was there to do a quick clean up and the pool man came the next morning to give it a complete clean up. It’s very close to Six Flags and lots of shopping needs. It is also a quick drive to downtown San Antonio. Overall it was a great stay and would definitely be willing to stay there again if we return to San Antonio.

Rented for my daughter 16th birthday family trip.

When sent the key code there was a list of all the rules, there are cameras surrounding the house, the front ones didn’t bother us but the one over looking the pool did. Felt like a invasion of privacy. The pool was filthy, and wasn’t allowed to move furniture or you get charged. We spent about 30 minutes in the pool the first day and was done after that because of the tree debris in the pool. Which sucked cause it was the main reason for renting this place. The yard had dead trees laying in it, it wasn’t well kept for the neighborhood it was in. The kitchen is outdated. The water pressure in the bathrooms suck. You get 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom for the entire weekend. In the master bedroom the bed was old and you slept in a dip on each side. Although the living room was a great place to hang out and watch movies with the family very spacious. It was just a okay house. Felt like the pictures were nicer looking in the listing. Also the Garage has a studio attached to the garage so we had someone show up mad because they thought they rented a different space then a room attached to a garage. Wouldn’t rent again for these reasons.

Wouldn't you just be crushed?!?

We rented this property for our family who traveled from all over the US for a pre-Thanksgiving visit. Well, advertising and reality did not match up. The photography does not show the aging condition of the property, with mismatched paint, deteriorating, multilevel flooring and cobbled-together kitchen. Heating system was not functioning at check-in. (40 deg outside, 60 deg inside). Contact with Property Mgr produced a meager response and no resolution. On our own, we found a popped circuit breaker, reset it, but it popped again during night. Reset it again, popped again. Reset third time and it stayed, but we were quite cold first night. Having only light, ill-fitting bedding did not help. Advertised ten towels were scattered through house, not placed in bathrooms, and were hard to find and very thin and stained. Bunk bed was so rickety that children had to sleep on the floor. Kitchen setup was fully inadequate for ten guests. Too bad this service prevents us from posting photos. owner/property manager needs to do structure updating and major amenity changeouts (linens, towels, kitchenware). We would not recommend this property in its current condition, at any time of year.

Plenty of space but a major disappointment and would never stay here again.

We arrived at 4:15 for 4 pm check in. Housekeeper was still in the house and no one had sent entry codes. We waited almost an hour in the driveway for her to finish. Upon entering the disappointment continued. The pool was much smaller than it looked in the pictures and was FULL of acorns from the tree. Two of the kids didn’t care so they jumped in and got out quickly once they were swimming. When under the water they discovered hundreds of tiny worms that freaked them out because they thought they were maggots. They wouldn’t swim anymore. No one swam day one, a Saturday. My nephew tried cleaning the acorns and worms but the only net on-site was full of holes and not useable. Once we started inspecting the house, only ONE bed had proper linen. Proper meaning a fitted sheet, a sheet, and a comforter. All the beds were incomplete. One bed had a mattress cover and a comforter, no sheets and no pillows. We scrambled around the house to find what we could to sleep on but ended up going to target to buy blankets to sleep on top of the beds. None of the bathroom towels were in the bathrooms. There was a stack of towels in the laundry room but not enough for each of us to shower with, so we ended up using our pool towels we brought with us for bathing. Don’t think about cooking here. The pots and pans were all scratched up and old. We didn’t attempt to use any of this. We bought foil pans for the oven. The bathrooms had supplied shampoo and conditioner, but I will warn you it’s Suave and V05. The least expensive products on the market. The hand soap and laundry detergents were watered down. We notified the owners about the pool. He came by and looked but couldn’t offer assistant. He said he would bring another pool cleaning want, but never came back with one. The pool was finally addressed on Monday morning after we had been there for two days. The reason I rented this place was for the pool. Lawn guys did come on Sunday to address the 3 feet weeds along the property. That made for a nice film of clippings across the top of the pool. A few of us did go in on Sunday night after hand scooping stuff out of the water but we had to wear shoes in order to walk across the acorns. This house could be very nice. There is plenty of room for a large group but the owner should make a small investment in buying nicer sheets, nicer towels and a new set of pots and pans for the kitchen.

Great Weekend

Our children and grandchildren stayed at home for long weekend while we were in San Antonio to celebrate my mother- in laws 90th Birthday. The house met all our needs- plenty of room/ bathrooms, pool for the kids, close to airport and downtown . The hosts were quick to respond to our questions and requests.

Relaxing Vacation Home

We enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have only a TV in the living room 😊. The kids and adults enjoyed the pool very much!!!! We were a family with 13 altogether, the house accommodated our family very well. We would rent again 😊.

Good location, house is okay

Our stay was nice but I wouldn’t go back. The house was clean and had all the items expected. The location is also great, easy access to highways and close to stores. However, it’s a rental only property and maintained as such. Pictures are better than in person, for instance the pool looks larger in pictures. We were told the property code would be sent prior to check in time and it wasn’t. We had to reach out and request it and the cleaning staff was still in the property when we arrived. They were friendly but we didn’t anticipate that. Also, they have numerous cameras outside the property and many notes inside regarding them. I would have liked to be told about the camera beforehand. I’m sure the owners have their reasons but it make us feel uneasy at times, like we were being watched.

It is a lovely property. The pool is one of the best ideas I've seen. It is not a diving pool; it is shallow, and perfect for kids!. The beds are comfy as is the large sectional in the living room(the recliners are to die for). We have a couple negative opinions being there are many steps throughout the house...they are small mind you, but not for those with bad vision or mobility. They are NOT MARKED anywhere stating there is a step there(my husband fell cracking his head, and I stepped off it at first jarring me pretty good plus I kicked it leaving the bedroom!). The other thing is the house was missing a few items (hair dryer, can opener, dishwasher soap, etc) which they advertise having. The communication with management is great. They are very acommodating, and are on requests quite quickly. Over all it was a lovely stay.

Met our need

There were a few things that needed to be addressed after our arrival that should have been taken care of before we got there. The pictures of the place are misleading, they must have been taken right after the remodel in 2018, but the house was relatively comfortable and we all (8 of us) had our own bedrooms, a bonus!! The kitchen area was old and some of the appliances did not work, and who doesn't supply a toaster? Satin sheets in the master were a real turn-off and the bed wasn't that comfortable. Closet doors in 2 of the bedrooms did not open because the doors were off track. The bathroom shower floor in the master was slippery and should be addressed. There was an incident where a contractor showed up to do some work out of the garage but also right at our front door, we asked for our privacy and suggested they come while we were out sightseeing. The owner was very easy to contact and addressed our issues in a timely manner and the children enjoyed the pool immensely!!
