Ocean Cottage 41 - MackeyBob's Cottage

Enjoy the Atlantic Ocean breeze and spectacular views from the newest oceanfront rental at The Cottages at Jekyll Island. This two-story townhome-style beach cottage offers a spacious open floor plan with a kitchen, dining living area, master suite, and full laundry on the first level. Master suite (Queen) and living area both open to a large ocean-facing lower screened porch with dining seating for 4 and 2 Adirondack style chairs. There is also a gas grill for cooking up your favorite BBQ. The living area is complete with a gas log fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances, Keurig and regular coffee makers. The second boasts two ensuites (Queen) each with access to a large balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Plus two extra long twin memory foam mattresses in the master and guest room closets. This cottage is also equipped with a high chair, 6 beach chairs, a boogie board, an umbrella, a cooler, 2 adult life jackets, and beach games located in the laundry room. In addition, guests have access by key fob to The Cottages' million-dollar amenities, which include an oceanfront zero-entry pool, beach deck, clubhouse with fitness center and billiards table, community fire pit, and beach access..

BEACH ACCESS AT THE COTTAGES
Overview: The Cottages beach is about 2,000 feet long, featuring a dune area and seawall.
Access Points: There are three dune crossovers to the sandy area, always accessible for recreation. Main access is near the pool and clubhouse.
Tide Information: At high tide, water reaches the seawall, changing every six hours. Check a tide chart to plan your beach time.
Nearby Facilities: Oceanview Beach Park, about 2 miles south past the Holiday Inn, offers all-day ocean access. Explore all Jekyll Island beaches on their website.
Important Note: Storms may affect beach crossover access, and we cannot guarantee beach access at all times.

Absolutely stunning property. Perfect views, short walk to the pool and beach. Would definitely stay again.. Only issues we had were only 2 trash bags for a 3 day stay and no extra toilet paper.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the minute you walk into Cottage 41 you feel at home. We invited our two adult children so we could all be together and the cottage was perfect. The views are perfect and so calming. The layout of the kitchen and family room works well for gathering everyone, then, when we needed to retreat, we could go to our separate rooms. LOVED the screened in porch and upper balcony. We will come back in warmer weather to be able to enjoy that more.We've been coming to JI for 34 years and this is our favorite place to stay so far.

Very nice house but has some shortcomings

First of all, the property is very clean and beautiful. It is located right on the ocean but there really isn't any beach access as the water goes right up to the sea wall so if you really want beach access you have to go to another beach. The house was clean and spacious. We had some issues with the house. The master bed was small and my wife and I had trouble sleeping together on it. I think a master bed in a vacation rental should be a king size. The house comes with very little in the way of kitchen supplies. Little tupperware to keep your leftovers. No cooking oil, condiments, foil, saran wrap etc. I am sure prior renters would leave these items after buying them but for some reason the owners or the cleaners are not letting them stay in the house and must be throwing them away. As we had flown in, we literally had to buy everything needed for the house. I think if you were driving in, it would be easier as you could bring those items. Overall we had a nice experience but I think these items would make the house even better! thanks

Girl Trip

This property was amazing! My two daughters, two granddaughters and I fit perfectly in this cottage. It was decorated beautifully. It was clean. We had all of the amenities of home. The two porches were fantastic for watching the sunrise and dolphin show. We loved everything about our stay. I highly recommend it.
