Also nearby Geneva-on-the-Lake, features summer-time fun at this historic resort district, featuring amusement park rides, miniature golf, go-karts, waterslides, nostalgic dinners, and more. Inland discover the 16 covered bridges, both historic and new. Ashtabula County also produces over 65 percent of Ohio's grapes and has developed a hard-earned reputation for developing some outstanding domestic wines; sample them at our 22 wineries. And Cleveland is just an hour drive to enjoy museums, baseball, and more great sights.

Please give us a call. We would be happy to talk with you about this very special place!

Why Jim & Judy Pearson chose Ohio

As partners, the Pearson's and the Trice's decided to purchase this property not to offer as a vacation rental property, but to someday build family homes on beautiful Lake Erie. In planning for some summer family lodging, we decided to offer up the property for others to enjoy the soft summer breezes and spectacular sunsets which occur all summer long.

What makes this house unique

This property is unique because it has been created to host our family during the summer, however we offer it to you and your family for you to also enjoy. This means that the decor and accommodations are prepared as our home not just any summer rental. You will enjoy all the amenities of home while at this summer retreat. Plenty of yard to play all the summer fun games and a beach with swimming that will thrill the child in everyone!

VERY Spacious!

  • 5 of 5

We had 14 girls for the weekend and this house could not have been more perfect! There was more than enough space for us all, pull out couches, great yard, and the garage that was turned into an extra living space was our favorite place. The location was also very central for us, we did a wine tour on Saturday and were just minutes from several very nice wineries. We also made breakfast every morning and thought the kitchen was well equipped, we brought a Keurig and had to either have the microwave or Keurig plugged in, not both because there was only one adapter for the 2 prong outlets. Even though the weather wasn't prime for swimming the beach was great, and views from the house, especially from the upstairs balcony were breath taking!

We all had such a fantastic time we discussed making it a yearly thing and booking the same house every year because it was so wonderful for us!

Beauitful lake view!

  • 4 of 5

WE had a group of 8 of us staying for a quick extended weekend. What a great location and the Lakehurst Bungalow was well kept! Plenty of room too! In some of the other reviews it spoke of getting down to the lake. It is a hill you need to go down though take your time and you will be fine. Once down it is absoulutely beautiful and plenty of areas to sit/bring a chair if you prefer. The water is shallow and worth swimming in too, weather/temperature permitting. One suggestion, great fire pit, though purchase a few more folding type chairs to have available when sitting by the fire or by the lake overlooking the water and update the towels. We will definitely stay again!

Fabulous weekend

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time staying at Lakehurst and it was fabulous. Great location for what we were doing. Plenty of room with a beautiful view of the lake. Enjoyed coffee by the lake and a bonfire at night. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. Everything worked and the facility was stocked well with linen etc. Some things could be updated but it definitely met our expectations and the owners were wonderful.

Fifth Stay at Lakehurst

  • 4 of 5

This was the fifth year that we have stayed at Lakehurst while fishing on Lake Erie. The house meets our needs very well. We try to always have a party of 4 guys to fish. With 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths everyone has the space and privacy needed and this is appreciated. We are able to eat our breakfast and dinner there before and after our fishing charter. The house is always reasonably clean and we appreciate the improvements such as air conditioning and newer TV that have been added since we started to stay here. The location is an easy drive to the Geneva on the Lake marina. The Pearsons and Trices have proven to be good hosts and give us the privacy that we appreciate.

The only suggestions that I would make are to improve the lighting in the kitchen and to provide a brush for the grill. We had to improvise with a wire cleaner to clean the grill. Also the faucet in the downstairs bathroom leaks and needs some attention.

This place is certainly not fancy nor upscale at all but it is very functional for our purposes and also comfortable. We have stayed at the Geneva Lodge, area motels, and other VRBO's while fishing out of Geneva in the past. We certainly prefer the features and reasonable cost for the Lakehurst Bungalow.
