4 bedroom Home, not on water with many ponds in area for boating & fishing. Has a living room, kitchen/dining area, with a large game room & relaxation room & bunk beds in basement, & exterior deck w grill for barbecues.
For family get togethers and small events have a meeting room with a 3rd bath and additional bedroom that can be reserved, by special arrangement to hold additional people for a family reunion or special trainings. Shortly we will be able to have by special arrangement up to 16 for a special family event and up to 30 in meeting room for special day or weekend trainings.
The Troy House is close to Keene NH for cultural events, theater, historic museums & movies. Mini golf & Ice cream place Rte 12 North in Swansey. Eight golf courses in county. A Fire Pit in back yard & for evening activities & Samoa's in evenings. Private 2.73 acre lot with indoor & outdoor games, badminton & volleyball, Kan Jam, croquet and Future Frisbe golf setup in yard. Close to Mt. Monadnock Recreation area & little Monadnock for Climbing and trailheads for hiking nearby. Mt. Monadnock is known as one of the premiere hiking mountains in the world. There are several boating & fishing ponds in area with boat landings to put your boat in. In notebook have maps of ponds to be found in the area with fish to be found in them.
Town Beach, pond and Recreation Center, with picnic area, swim area, skate park etc, are nearby on South Street. Cheshire Trail System nearby for hiking and biking in area. In Game Room in basement we have a ping pong table, electronic Dart Board, Cornhole w 2x3 board set up and small game table for air hockey, pool and hockey for indoor activity in basement & tables that can be set up for card games. Relaxation Room down has sleeper couch with 43 inch smart TV. Bunk Room in basement has bunk beds for additional people and shed in rear yard with a bunk room, w bunk beds, for sleeping that will be available shortly for additional guests coming for family get togethers. In area there are several local beaches, ponds, parks, historic sites, and cinema's. Their are 6 Covered Bridges in the area, and a friendly farm where you can pet the animals. There are also several small brewery's in area.

Wonderful Visit!

Very clean, well equipped and thoughtfuly supplied. An extra bonus were the great assortment of books, games, movies, and puzzles available. A great deal of experience and generosity went into choices made, and it was much appreciated.

Simply Perfect!

We all had a wonderful stay at the Troy House! Linda was so informative and kind she helped provide all of the details we needed for our stay! We selected the Troy House for its proximity to a dirt-bike camp in Winchester NH that my son and his two friends were attending for the week. Not only was the house perfectly stocked beds were extremely comfortable. The entire home was very clean and cozy for when we got home from a long day at camp.Linda was there to greet us at check in and she had all of the beds made up and ready as well as clear instructions on how to conduct checkout. We all agreed it was a 10 out of 10 and recommend it to anyone thinking of booking.

The grounds were well kept. The house was remodeled and very clean. Lots of room. Equipped with everything you would need. Quiet. Owners were awesome to deal with and easy to get ahold of. I would definitely recommend people to stay there.

Lovely stay

Linda was such an amazing host. She was so kind and responsive to my many inquiries. Her home was well-equipped with everything we needed for a perfect stay. We always do a lot of cooking and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and the basement game room was wonderful for the kids. If I’m ever back in the area, I would absolutely stay at the Troy House again!

The perfect getaway

Our family had a very relaxing stay at Troy House. With four young children it isn't easy finding the perfect property but the layout and space was ideal. The older kids could enjoy games in the basement and there was plenty of outdoor space to run around and ride bikes, which Brad and Linda kindly provided. We were very impressed with how everything was managed. We received a warm welcome on arrival and it was clear lots of effort had gone in to providing us with a comfortable stay. We cannot recommend Troy House enough!

Needs an exterminator

Linda met us and was thorough in explaining where everything is in this very well stocked house. Home was clean and tidy. There were ants in the kitchen, though, and other bugs in the bedrooms that we had to constantly deal with. Home owner was aware of the ants and had ant traps sitting out, but would probably benefit from a professional exterminator. The house doesn't have central air so each of the three upstairs bedrooms has a window unit. The house really only has three bedrooms despite the listing. The other sleeping area is a pull-out bed or a bunk bed in an unfinished basement.

Family Retreat for in Troy

Brad and Linda were great to communicate with and receptive to feedback. They manage the house personally and it you can see the hard work they put into the place. Check-in was easy and they offered a variety of ways for us to arrange the beds to fit our needs. Our group was multi-generational from Grandparents to great-grand kids and all generations in between. House was fairly simple to toddler proof for the 14 mo old. There were plenty of games to keep everyone entertained regardless of weather. We had a cookout on the BBQ as well as a campfire at one of the fire pits. There was a table at the entrance with a bit about the area and the house. There was an extra long folding table that we could move around as we needed to suit our group. It was everything from a puzzle table, dinner table to a games night table. There were also extra folding chairs to move as needed. Appliances were in very good condition. Oven and stove worked great for cooking dinners and making and a blueberry crumble with berries picked locally. Thank you for the additional amenities you stocked the house with. We were especially appreciative of the toothbrushes because inevitably a couple of the kids left theirs behind and they didn't realize until it was really late at night. Check out was easy as well and we appreciated being able to get back in touch when an item was left behind. We really enjoyed our stay and would look to stay again the next time we have a big family visit in the area.

Great family stay

We stayed here with other family members from out of the area to visit with local family. We didn’t get to take advantage of all the activities the property has to offer, but it was a good homebase after visiting with family and friends. Brad and Linda were very friendly and responsive. Some final touches are still needed, as this is a new listing, but overall a great house.

Amazing new home with the charm of New England. The owners are incredibly kind and accommodating!

We had the best time at "The Troy House" . The owners made sure we had all our questions asked and we're very accommodating the entire time. The home was near brand new and comfortable for the entire family. We highly recommend this place for families seeking to get a few days away together. We would love to stay here again. 5 stars all across the board!

I got into the hospitality business in 2019 on Miller Pond in Grantham NH and have loved sharing this camp with all the wonderful guests that we have had come visit us. This camp was sold this fall and will be taking over by a new couple.

Then In 2021 I had a chance to purchase Blueberry Cottage on Sportsman Pond in Fitzwilliam NH. We plan on making this 3.2 acre site very special for our guests. This is a very natural setting, rustic, beautiful peaceful site, surrounded by nature, with only a few cottages on this beautiful pond. We have canoes, kayaks, surf board, rowboat & a fishing boat for your use. We have birds on sportsman pond with wingspans up to 5 ft and all the wildlife that visit a large pond that is undeveloped. Wake up and enjoy the sounds and sites of nature at this beautiful spots. Frogs, crickets and all types of waterfront birds & wild life.

Our newest venture is a home for Family Get Togethers at 66 South Main St. Troy NH. I built this house on a 2.73 acre lot in Troy NH. that I have been thinking would make a wonderful site for families to come and relax and spend time together. My mother when I was a kid used to do a family reunion once a year on July 4th that was the highlight of my year and a time when our family got together to share and have fun together. So 66 South Main Street Troy is inspired by my mother's family reunions where a median size family group could come together to share and have fun together. I currently have room for 10 people and will expand it to be able to handle more for special family get togethers by summer with an meeting room available for an extra charge that will handle up to 25 by special arrangement. Troy has biking and hiking trails, Mt. Monadnock and little Monadnock to climb, and 4 public beaches within easy commute for swimming. Also there is many ponds in the area for fishing and boating, and Keene NH. is not that far away for cultural events & historic museum

Great for small family get togethers, to relax and catch up with family members with additional space for large family get togethers or family reunions. Town beach & Rec Center close by on South Street with Playground, Skate board Park, Baseball field, Basketball Court, kayaks & more. Town center nearby to walk or bike to.

Half a dozen covered bridges nearby, Carlton Covered Bridge Swanzy NH. and Cresson covered Bridge w boat landing for canoes & Kayaks in Swanzey. Also the Thompson covered bridge in west Swanzey and Slate covered bridge in Swanzey NH. In Winchester their is the Coombs covered bridge.

We can handle up to 10 and for family reunions & special events by special arrangement up to 20 or more family members. Having barbecues on the rear deck with Adirondack chairs to relax in on deck & at picnic table. In the evening, relax and sit around the fire pit. Back side yard for a game of volleyball or croquette set up, your choice, and inside games to play around a game table & dining table, with a ping pong table and tv room downstairs to watch some of your favorite dvd's. Town beach & rec center, nearby with in walking or biking range on South Street.

Pearly Lake Beach, Rindge, New Hampshire is open to the public and there is a life guard on duty 12 to 5pm most days in the summer.

Contoccook Beach is a sandy beach area located on Lake Contoocook in Jaffrey NH. The facilities and parking are open from 8am till dusk, for swimming and sunbathing. There is a concession stand, changing rooms, covered pavilion, restrooms, picnic tables and sand volleyball. Contoccook Lake is also a lake for power boats.
