Julia was awesome! She makes you feel welcome & part of the family! She brought us carrots to feed the horses, she answered all our questions and we had the best time interacting with the horses. We walked over to the restaurant two out of the three nights. The house was stocked with everything we needed and then some! We had a great stay. Thank you

Thank You so much!! I loved seeing you enjoy the horses!! They always miss their guests when you leave!! Don’t ever forget, horses never forget your scent, therefore they never forget your kindness!! Mine love all the snacks!!
Having Windy Corner Restaurant right beside the farm is always an added bonus.
This property was excellent. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Julia our host was great. She had stocked the pantry and refrigerator with breakfast food, drinks, fruit, snacks, etc. First time ever that all this was provided. She even had fresh baked cookies for us and had carrots for us to feed the beautiful horses. She was very accommodating. Best experience I have ever had and I've used VRBO a lot. I can truthfully say I have never had a bad experience with VRBO. I highly recommend this property and we hope to go back again soon as we have relatives and friends in the area.
Julie was an amazing host! Home was clean and cozy, was stocked with essentials, there was lots of information provided for things to do in the area and the property was beautiful. Lots of history! My family enjoyed feeding the horses carrots and peppermints and watching them in the pastures while relaxing on the porch. Fresh baked cookies on the kitchen table upon arrival really made us feel at home. The restaurant on the corner had great good and was so convenient for dinners after being out and about all day. Julie made sure we had what we needed and was only a phone call away. We will be back for sure.
A great spot for a quick trip or a longer stay! The house is full of racing memorabilia and history, and the property is unbelievably peaceful. We had a wonderful time.
We recently stayed at the Colliver House at Claybank Farm, and if I could give it a rating higher than 10, I absolutely would. The location was perfect—a quiet, peaceful setting on a beautiful horse farm, well away from the city. Guests are even welcome to pet and feed the horses with carrots generously provided by the host, Julia.Choosing this home instead of a hotel made our trip even more special. It allowed our family and friends to spend real time together, rather than scattering to separate rooms and only meeting up later. Everyone we met on the farm was incredibly friendly and made us feel like part of the family from the moment we arrived. The house itself was spotless and stocked with everything you could possibly need—and more. After this visit, we would definitely stay again and highly recommend this farm to anyone looking for a peaceful, welcoming, and memorable place to stay.Kim & Larry and family
Wonderful setting. Quaint, clean, comfortable house on a working farm surrounded by other beautiful horse farms. Julia is a great host. Thoughtful and available.
We LOVED everything about it. Host couldn't have done a better job in any way from pre-arrival, during stay and send off. Great experience all the way around. Having a wonderful restaurant within walking distance was a HUGE plus for us. We will definitely be back.
Very clean and cozy. Julia goes above and beyond for her guests. Even fresh baked cookies and a stocked fridge and pantry! We loved visiting the horses and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

We loved having you! I especially loved seeing all your beautiful Breyer’s !! Thank You for your next booking!! See you for BreyerFest in 2026!! Cannot wait to see more models!!
Julia’s house was perfect for our group of 6 in town for a bachelor party. The house is very clean and comfortable, especially the bedrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed and the fridge was even stocked with some food and drinks when we arrived. The property is large with multiple outdoor seating areas, and it was great to be able to interact with the horses! Julia was extremely welcoming and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay at her house again if we go back to Lexington.
Four of us stayed here while visiting our daughter in the area over Christmas. Julia had everything all set up for us, in a great area, house was perfect for us, loved being on the farm, having the horses right there, etc. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit!

We loved having you all! Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
This was our second Christmas stay at this property. Family from Indiana and Tennessee met here. This is an old farm house on a working horse farm. Can’t get more authentic than that. It reminded me of staying at my moms or grandmothers house. It feels like home. The house was clean, well equipped, and comfortable. Julia always goes overboard in providing the small things. We cooked several large meals and if we forgot something, Julia had it in the cabinet or fridge. Wonderful small restaurant within eyesight of the house. The Colliver House was a perfect place for our family Christmas gathering.
Fabulous host, cookies were wonderful, property is charming and clean, restaurant next door is affordable with lots of options on the menu--and good! Highly, highly recommended.

We are so fortunate to get some amazing guests! Thank You!! We appreciate you choosing us!
The place is near the Kentucky Horse Park and Kroger is down the road. We wanted an atmosphere that felt more like home than a hotel. We were able to do things during the day and still come "home" for dinner. This location fit nicely for a weekend getaway. My daughter loved the horses too. Would stay again.
Very hospitable with a small town feel. Absolutely beautiful scenery with a great view of all of the horses!! Everything was amazing and we will be going back!

This was a great experience!! Julia was wonderful. Watching the horses in the evening was a real treat. Great little restaurant next to us, Windy Corner, wonderful!! Could not have improved anything. Claybank Farm is the best
We stayed with Julia for two weeks while we were showing at the horse park. It was a perfect place for us to stay with our client and staff. Julia was incredibly welcoming and provided everything we needed to make the stay comfortable.
The location is great, close to the horse park and a direct shot into downtown.

About the host

I am the granddaughter of G.C. and Marie Colliver, this was the residence my grandparents renovated in the early 1970's into their personal home. My grandfather was multi talented, a welder, a builder and a farmer. Passionate of Thoroughbreds he rebuilt the farm in the early 80's for my business. Boarding and raising many very successful Thoroughbreds. Over the years we have had many guest visit the property, the decision was made to share the area and property with others.
Why they chose this property
Family owned farm just off the beaten path of major interstates and hwys. Mere minutes from Downtown Lexington, Paris, Georgetown and Winchester. Beautiful scenery, nestled among world famous Thoroughbred Breeding Farms.
What makes this property unique
Relaxing environment, walking on the farm and petting the horses, or enjoying one of the two porches. Views of horses from back porch with beautiful KY sunrises and sunsets.
