We're excited to welcome you to our lodge located on 500 acres of beautiful land, with a private lake right out the front door.
Here at Bowerbird Stays, we want our guests to forget for a few days that the rest of the world exists. We want your stay with us to be about relaxing, making memories, and taking what we like to call 'a nature bath.' Surrounded by 500 acres, your own private lake we hope should make that doable!
The Space: Our cabin is a 1500 sq ft fully renovated lodge style cabin. It provides the perfect backdrop for your ultimate family getaway, couple's weekend or girls'/guys' trip. There are four bedrooms, one on the main floor and three on the second floor. Two full bathrooms should keep the lines for the biffy in check. The open concept living/dining area boasts a wood stove, a vaulted ceiling, two dining areas and a large comfy living room with views of the lake. The cozy loft upstairs has a tv, loads of DVDs, and provides a separate place for kids to escape from their parents.
There is also a separate seasonal bunkhouse located just outside the cabin, that has a mini kitchenette (no running water) and two twin bunk beds. (Not recommended to use in winter months)
Whether it's board games, books, or movies, we want you to kick back and relax.
With Starlink Wifi, you'll be able to enjoy the great outdoors, and still stay connected :-)
We are so happy to share our space with guests who are looking to use it as a retreat to reconnect with family and friends.
The Neighborhood: The cabin is located a 12 minutes drive from the shops and amenities of Onanole and is 17 minutes from Wasagaming.
Riding Mountain/Clear Lake is one of Manitoba's crown jewels--a mini-Banff with a slightly smaller mountain and substantially smaller crowd. This area boasts some of Canada's best year-round outdoor activities--hiking, biking, skiing and swimming.
Other Things to Note: *Please let us know if you are bringing your furry friend. We do have a $20/day pet fee.
*We do have a sauna on the deck but don’t book this cabin because of it. It is very temperamental. Consider it a bonus of your stay if it is working. Nightly rates reflect the exclusion of the sauna.

The cabin was lovely. It was unfortunate that the fireplace is not functional and the ac unit drips into the house with obvious damage to the wall. The only other thing is there was no dry wood anywhere. A firewood hut would be nice.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Saw lots of wildlife (red fox, deer, muskrats in the pond, etc...) while enjoying my morning coffee. What a beautiful spot to enjoy time with family, lots of space, the kitchen was very well equipped, I honestly felt like nothing was missing. Robin was very quick to respond to my questions - would return :-)
A nice cabin hidden among the beautiful woods of Onanole. The views of the trees never get old.
Great communication with Robyn and the Bowerbird team. The cabin was a bit smaller than expected, but accommodated our family of 8 quite comfortably. A little more firewood at the cabin would have been nice, but we were given the opportunity to re-stock from another cabin nearby. We enjoyed using the wood stove and outdoor fire pit! Thank you for helping make our 25th anniversary with our kids so special!
