Note: We are flattered from the inquiries we receive regarding weddings, parties and special events. However, we have a strict policy regarding these type of events. This is NOT a wedding, special event venue or party house. We do not have the facilities (bathrooms, parking, electricity output, insurance) to accommodate this type of request. Additionally we really care about our neighbors. There are several wedding venues not far from the home that I can refer you to. Thank you.

About the home:

It's all about nature here at Paso Roble! Enjoy a relaxing setting with a country feel and city conveniences. But don't let the rural setting fool you....guest are still within a short drive to restaurants and grocery stores in town and is only 10 miles from the Fort Worth City Limits. This location is for who want to see it all in Fort Worth or travelers who want to get away from it all!

Originally built in the 1920's the home has been completely remodeled and offers all of the conveniences and upgrades of a new custom home.

This 2 bedroom 1 bathroom home features a tasteful mix of vintage, rustic and modern decor and furnishings. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the essentials you will need to prepare and serve meals or you can grill outside. The veranda is the favorite spot to relax and watch the deer from at dusk. The outdoor fire pit is perfect for roasting marshmallows and staying warm during cool weather while the stars twinkle overhead. (use subject to burn bans that may be in effect). Bring your camera and take advantage of the many photo opportunities like visiting wildlife or towering oak trees at sunset.

Gather with family and friends to watch a movie on the 52' TV. At the end of the day the private bedrooms offer the perfect setting for a good nights rest. Extra sleeping arrangements can be found on the sun room's twin bed and on the living room's sleeper sofa . Soft linens, blankets, bedding and thirsty towels are provided.

• 1,400 sq feet of space and a flowing floor plan

Why Roseanne S. chose Azle

With our busy schedules this location works out great for us. We can take a 'last minute' get away and be there within 30 minutes and really feel like we are getting away. The location offers the best of both worlds. A country setting on 2.3 acres that offers privacy but is convenient to everything we want, need and like to do.

What makes this house unique

We've been told by previous guest that the setting reminds them of the hill country. We enjoy watching the wildlife (Deer, hawks and lizards mostly). We love the character rustic charm and history of this 1920's home. It was originally part of a 100 acre dairy farm in the 1900's. We have had the pleasure of connecting with the grand daughter of the family that built this home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Roseanne, I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at Paso Roble.

Everthing at your beautiful Azle stone cottage was first rate, and it was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in a long time.

We hope to return very soon – maybe during fall break or spring break again next year.

Although we lost an hour after arrival, due to daylight savings time, we appreciate your giving us an extra hour on checkout.

Absolutely Beautiful Property

  • 5 of 5

The stone Tudor in Azle, Texas, was absolutely beautiful. There is a herd of deer that comes through the property and we saw them all three nights we were there. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We cooked dinner one night and breakfast two mornings. We can't give too much information for activities in the area because we were in town for our niece's wedding and that pretty much took up all of our time. We had a small problem with the well, thus the water supply to the house, but Roseanne was extremely prompt in replying to our text messages and more than helpful in a resolution to the problem. If ever we are in need of a place to stay in Azle, Texas, in the future, we will definitely return to the stone Tudor. We loved it!!!

A charming and historic home, beautifully restored and super clean

  • 5 of 5

This was an ideal place for our “girls’ trip”. It was the hottest few days on record in North Texas and were cool and comfy inside the house. We were just a few miles from Ft. Worth’s restaurants, etc. We loved seeing the deer on the property and drove just a few blocks away to see lots more deer.

This house would be good for lake people too. Even though it isn’t lake view- it is close enough to enjoy boating and return to the comforts of home.

Pictures don’t do this house justice. Check it out for yourself.
