Note: We are flattered from the inquiries we receive regarding weddings and special events. However, we have a strict policy regarding these type of events. This is NOT a wedding or special event venue. We do not have the facilities (bathrooms, parking, electricity output, insurance) to accommodate this type of request. Additionally we really care about our neighbors. There is a Winery and a wedding venue not far from the home that I can refer you to. Thank you.

It's all about nature here at Paso Roble! Enjoy a relaxing setting with a country feel and city conveniences. But don't let the rural setting fool you....guest are still within a short drive to restaurants and grocery stores in town and is only 10 miles from the Fort Worth City Limits. This location is for both...travelers who want to see it all in Fort Worth or travelers who want to get away from it all!

Originally built in the 1920's the home has been completely remodeled and offers all of the conveniences and upgrades of a new custom home.

This 2 bedroom 1 bathroom home features a tasteful mix of vintage, rustic and modern decor and furnishings. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the essentials you will need to prepare and serve meals or you can grill outside. The veranda is our favorite spot to relax and watch the deer from at dusk. The outdoor fire pit is perfect for roasting marshmallows and staying warm during cool weather while the stars twinkle overhead. (use subject to burn bans that may be in effect). Bring your camera and take advantage of the many photo opportunities like visiting wildlife or towering oak trees at sunset.

Gather with family and friends to watch a movie on the 52' TV. At the end of the day the private bedrooms offer the perfect setting for a good nights rest. Extra sleeping arrangements can be found on the sun room's twin bed and on the living room's sleeper sofa . Soft linens, blankets, bedding and thirsty towels are provided.

• 1,400 sq feet of space and a flowing floor plan

• 2 spacious bedrooms-sunroom-1 full bathroom

• Central heat and air throughout the home

• Full size stackable high efficiency washer and dryer

• Satellite TV and DVD Player (some dvd's provided)

• Plenty of Parking (uncovered) and room for a boat, RV or trailer

• Home has been renovated- the bedrooms and the bathroom have their own entrances (not shared entrances like most homes of this era)

Why Roseanne S. chose Texas

With our busy schedules this location works out great for us. We can take a 'last minute' get away and be there within 30 minutes and really feel like we are getting away. The location offers the best of both worlds. A country setting on 2.3 acres that offers privacy but is convenient to everything we want, need and like to do.

What makes this house unique

We've been told by previous guest that the setting reminds them of the hill country. We enjoy watching the wildlife (Deer, hawks and lizards mostly). We love the character rustic charm and history of this 1920's home. It was originally part of a 100 acre dairy farm in the 1900's. We have had the pleasure of connecting with the grand daughter of the family that built this home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Roseanne, I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at Paso Roble.

Everthing at your beautiful Azle stone cottage was first rate, and it was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in a long time.

We hope to return very soon – maybe during fall break or spring break again next year.

Although we lost an hour after arrival, due to daylight savings time, we appreciate your giving us an extra hour on checkout.

Absolutely beautiful!!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for a relaxing bachelorette weekend, a couple girls having a quiet weekend in. From coffee/breakfast on the patio to dinner in the dining room as we watched deer through the window this was a perfect experience. Better than the pictures and more amazing than we could have dreamed! Enjoyed some time at the light catcher winery just a couple miles away and also drove to downtown Fort Worth for dinner (not more than 30 minutes away). Perfect location, just far enough from the city but not too far.

Perfect place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

Rented this for my family so we could attend my niece's wedding just a few minutes away. The owners were kind enough to let the wedding party and some guests have a cookout the day before the wedding. The house was comfortable and inviting. My guest and family loved it. We would definitely stay here again!

Delightful and Relaxing!!

  • 5 of 5

I am not even sure where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at this wonderful house!! The house is beautifully decorated and updated, and instantly makes you feel warm, welcome, and at home. The owner's are so gracious and kind, and provided everything we could possibly need and then some. There is no better place to put your feet up, relax, and enjoy family time. It is such a peaceful, serene setting with so much to offer. We enjoyed watching the deer in the evening and at sunrise. Sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise and the deer in the distance is enough alone to bring us back time and time again. Incredible! The front porch is amazing, and was the perfect spot for an evening glass of wine, cheese and crackers, and a lot of laughter. This was a sisters-grandmother-kids weekend, and we had our 4 boys with us, ages 5-9. Needless to say, they had a ball having races and a balloon toss in the yard, and we built some pretty amazing memories together at this wonderful home!! We enjoyed a dinner out at the Fort Worth Stockyards one evening, and it was an easy drive, and there is a lot to do in Fort Worth for any sightseeing seekers. Other than dinner out one evening, we were absolutely content staying put at the house. Thank you so very much for your hospitality! We will surely be back!! Love, love, love this place!

Peaceful setting!!

  • 5 of 5

House was great. From the first night we arrived and our headlights hit what must have been 20 deer grazing to the last day as I watched a hawk through the kitchen window it was a great place to rest and reset. We came to town for a friend's wedding in Azle and I think we may have found our spot for future visits to see family. Only suggestion I would have is a black out curtain we could pull closed in the bedroom. Loved to read the story of the original owners hanging in the living room.

WOW... JUST WOW...

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we pulled up to the cottage, we felt at home. This property does NOT disappoint. Its charming, cozy, relaxing... all it needed was a water feature (maybe work on that...LOL) I've never seen a sunrise and I found myself taking the second room to enjoy that amazing Texas sunrise every morning, I would sneak out and sit on the edge of the porch and gaze over the adjoining field watch the sunrise and see the deer walk closer to the property. The owners are wonderful to work with. We will be back! Thank you so much!!

Owner's Response: Awe...thank you! It was nice seeing your great review first thing this morning! I do have some ideas on some new amenities but had not thought about a water feature---that is a great suggestion---the birds would love it too! Glad you enjoyed your visit and look forward to having you back!!!!
