Why Kathy Bright chose Park
Growing up in this area, I always knew that there was something very unique about this historical community. The 'Big Red' lighthouse as well as the historical Holland Harbor where the Lake Macatawa waterway feeds into Lake Michigan- all sites to behold!
What makes this Cottage unique
Macatawa is situated only 10 minutes from the Dutch city of Holland and 10 minutes from Saugatuck (the 'Art Coast of West Michigan'), a 3 hour drive from Chicago or Detroit- all very convenient. However, nothing surpasses the views captured from King's Cottage and the surrounding area, it is indeed breathtaking!! The miles of white sandy beaches against the Lake Michigan backdrop~ need I say more?

Immediately Relaxing View
The house is oriented perfectly if you want to sit and watch the water and sailboats. It's a very short walk to a sandy Lake Michigan beach where you can walk along the water. The house is cute, clean and comfortable and has what you need for any cooking you might do. We were there in perfect October weather but the population of the neighborhood must have been way down as cars passing in front of this house were not a distraction; it sits close to the front of the gated community entrance. It was quiet - in fact a family of five deer walked right past the big windows around dusk. I would stay here again.
We love to hear the different perspectives from our guests~~ so glad you had an enjoyable stay!
Thanks so much,
Great Owner and beautiful location
Property is situated on the beautiful lake Macatawa and steps from Lake Michigan beach. Awesome views of the lake. The property was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay.
We're so glad you enjoyed your stay, hopefully you got some well deserved peace and quiet!
~ you're welcome back anytime!
Great Location, Great Stay
Loved this property, and the host was excellent. We loved it so much, we extended our stay here by two additional days. Kids loved looking out on the water in the morning, and access to the trails, private beach and myriad of activities all within reach.
We are so pleased to hear you all had such a great time~ It was a pleasure meeting you and your beautiful family,!
We appreciate you keeping the cottage in such great condition and hope you'll keep this beautiful place in mind for future stays~
Thanks so much,
The King's Cottage was perfect for our family of 4 (adult teenagers). Nice updates inside and out. Can't beat the view East up Lake Mac! Parking right in front was perfect. Easy walking to the beach...fantastic sunsets....Big Red....couldn't ask for more!
Communication with Kathy was perfect as well.
Will definitely return.
Had a awesomely Great week. Up to date interior cottage and new deck. Beautiful, relaxing evenings on the upper deck. Just a short walk to the best beach. Great for a family vacation or quiet getaway. You can bike, run, walk, kayak, paddle boards, ski jets, shop, eat out and swim. The best is the view from the living room. Can't wake to go back.
We are so pleased you enjoyed your vacation at lovely Kings Cottage!
Indeed, one of the very best views around~ and you're right, best beach for sure!
We hope you will return to this beautiful, private Macatawa Park area in the near future~
Relaxing weekend at King's Cottage!
What a wonderful place to relax for the weekend! I met my sisters and there husbands at the cottage for the weekend, and we did what we love to do...talk, eat, and sight see. I would recommend King's cottage for anyone that would love to just relax and recharge. There is a lot to do in the area, and more then we could do in one weekend. The owner keeps you informed, and makes the check in process easy. If you get the chance I would recommend Pipers Restaurant...great food!
