We simply love this cabin. It's comfortable and welcoming. It's clean and has everything we could possibly need. Hope to visit next year and for many years to come.
Lots of fun activities (fishing, kayaking, peddle boat), pretty scenery (lake, trees, and sunsets), nice hiking trails, golf course, and creamery/mini golf near by.
My husband and I had a wonderful time fishing and sitting by the lakeProperty maintenance leaves a little to be desired but overall we had a great getaway
A beautiful lakefront log cabin! Very comfortable and a well stocked kitchen. The grounds are well kept, a cute walk down to the lake. The pedal boat is an experience! Loved it and will return. Cheryl
We had a great week at this cabin. The setting was beautiful, with some of the best sunsets we’ve ever seen. The cabin was very clean and well-appointed.
My family and I such a lovely time staying here! The cabin is clean and cozy. We enjoyed watching sunsets by the lake, kayaking, and hung out by the firepit at night. Ethan is a great host and was very responsive to any questions we had. The check in and check out process was straight forward with no hassle. Overall, a perfect spot for some much needed quality time with the fam- highly recommend!
Our stay was amazing and exactly what we were looking for. We fished, watched the sunset and enjoyed each other’s company. The cabin is so adorable and the lake is beautiful and peaceful.
This is a truly remarkable property. This is our second year visiting, and everything was absolutely perfect. The cabin is very very clean, has everything you need, and is in a wonderful spot. Our host, Ethan, is always excellent. Takes care of every little detail. If you like peace and quiet, beautiful sunset views over the lake and maybe even a little fishing this is the place for you.
Great cabin. Plenty of room for us. Clean, quiet, easy access to the water. Comfortable furniture and beds. Decent sized kitchen with a lot of counter space. Had a great time and hope to return.
It was a wonderful escape! Cabin was charming and comfortable. The lake was peaceful. Kayaking and fishing were the highlight of our trip. Can’t wait to visit again!
The property is a hidden gem. Our trip turned into a winter wonderland as we had a beautiful snow storm at the time of our stay. The cabin was warm and comfortable. I want to come back for fishing on the lake.
Beautiful quiet property tucked away in the woods and on the lake. Great old log cabin beautifully updated with all the modern conveniences. Perfect location to reach urban activities in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
The log cabin was comfy and had everything you needed for a family getaway. We loved the views and kayaking! The set up for fires at night and grilling were great! You don’t expect AC at a cabin in the woods so that was a lovey amenity!
Cozy rustic log cabin in the woods! My family enjoyed fishing, kayaking, grilling up family dinners, crafting and playing games together. We sat by the fire pit every night roasting s’mores. It was the perfect place to bring our family together! This was our second time staying and we would love to make it a yearly tradition!
My family had a great time at this cabin on the lake. The description doesn't do it justice. For instance, you pretty much have the lake to yourself, which appears to be quite well-stocked. The house itself is not huge, but the owners have found a way to make every part count. We had five of us and we fit very comfortably. This is a place to come to contemplate the higher things while basking in the warm glow of a beautiful sunset.
We visited in August with my sons 18 and 20, and had a fantastic time. This cabin is awesome and in an even more awesome spot. The place was spotless and had everything we needed to be more than comfortable. The location is completely private and you do not see any neighbors at all from the back of the property and the fire pit. The lake is fantastic and very private. I don’t think I saw ten other people the whole time we were there. We fished a lot and caught lots of fish. The small town of Douglas has nice spots to eat and anything else you may need. Ethan was an awesome host and attended to all our needs. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, this is the place.
Great location. Like staying at a friend's cabin on the lake.
We spent the weekend here -- an actual log cabin, with rustic, woodsy charm. We loved it.
Sleeping arrangements are a small private bedroom, plus a sleeping porch with a queen bed on one side, bunk beds on the other, a table in the middle, and windows all around.
The view of the lake is great and you can walk down to a small dock with kayaks. We spent every evening on the back patio in front of a roaring fire, overlooking the lake. (The owner even provided firewood.) Kitchen is well-appointed, like staying at a friend's house.
A few surprising modern touches included fast wireless internet, a TV with apps, and a record player with records to play (and Bluetooth). You share one small bathroom.
Owner is friendly and responsive. Location is outstanding, on the edge of a state forest -- we went on two long hikes -- and a short drive to town.
Quiet, rustic, relaxing atmosphere. Pond was low due to drought, but still enjoyable. Fishing was slow and tough with the dense vegetation, but we did catch some really nice fish. Host was great, would go back for sure!
The process of renting and checking in was very easy. Communication with the host was very good, they got back to me in a short time with answers to questions. My son and grandkids loved the Lake. Going out on the water, swimming, boating, and fishing was their favorite past time. All of us had a great time with lots of family bonding.
This was a lovely cabin with plenty of room for our family including two adults and teen age boys. They loved the clean lake, kayaks, and peddle boat. We had a heat wave during our stay and were grateful for the AC! The back patio overlooks the lake and we spent leisurely time reading books and watching the boys swim. The owners were quick to respond to questions and to offer advice for local attractions. This was a great place for a low-key, slow-down-life, vacation.

We live nearby, in Rhode Island, and absolutely love our outdoor time. Angela is a manager with a local bank and Ethan is a carpenter that now spends all his time in the office. We have two younger kids, Asher and Olivia.
Why they chose this property
Angela and Ethan have been avid campers for many years but decided to buy this cabin so we could enjoy getting away more often (and with less packing!), and make memories with our young children. We live nearby in Rhode Island and love making quick trips to the cabin for days or weekends on the lake at any time of year. Some of our best times have been in the middle of winter when the lake is fully frozen and it seems like the whole community is out on the ice to fish, skate and chat. We
