Yes the River was high the first couple days that they were there as we had record amounts of rain a few days before they arrived. But we have owned the cottage for almost 20 years and the river has never been that high this time of the year. We are about 20 minutes from towns . But itβs not city living is a beautiful cottage on the River for a up north setting β€οΈ
Had a very enjoyable time at this rental. It was very homey and as it was off season very peaceful. Very pet friendly. Easy checkin and hosts were super helpful to ensure we had a good time.

We have stayed here five summers. Such a great place to enjoy rest and relaxation. The home is very nice. The outside landscaping is beautiful. Everything you need is provided. We look forward to returning.
This is a fantastic property with great owners. This was the perfect place for our group of seven friends to paddle both the Chippewa and Flambeau rivers and hike a couple of sections of the Ice Age Trail. The property well supplied with everything you need. The owners are great to work with. The view of the river is about a good as it gets!

Thank you Dean , you were wonderful guests and you are welcome to come back anytime π.
We had a wonderful time. The cottage had everything we needed. Loved the view of the River and were close to going to small towns nearby for dinner a couple times. I took my sketch books and drew some pretty pictures. Got to sit by the fire and do some reading. And the best bonus is that we got to bring our dog with us. Would definitely love to go again!

We had the best time this past week at the cabin! It was clean, adorably decorated, the WiFi worked perfectly and we loved being right on the river. We floated a little, caught some fish, crayfish, a few frogs and loved the hummingbirds! Our elderly moms also thoroughly enjoyed themselves! Highly recommend. Thanks again for sharing this adorable place with us.

Paradise on the Flambeau
Wonderful cottage, everything we needed for our stay. Very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated, beautiful flowers and landscaping. Owners have done a very good job on this place. Lots to enjoy at the cottage including: swimming, kayaking, tubing, fishing or just relaxing. Bald eagles and deer can be seen from the swing out front. We have already made plans to return next summer. Thanks Troy and Paul.

Lovely stay
We spent a week at the house (my husband, 4 year old, border collie and my parents) and we had an amazing time. It was SO relaxing. The house is quiet, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. I don't rememeber the last time all of us were so relaxed, including the 4 year old. Sitting watching the water, reading a book on the screened porch, fishing for small mouth right from the property, kayaking the river, seeing eagles, deer and bear, taking a day trip into Chippewa Falls... I can't wait to go back.

Wonderful people!! Thank You ! Paul and Troy Lizette
We recently visited with our family and our infant and 9 year olds. The cabin was clean, and had plenty of cleaning supplies so that we could keep it that way. It was stocked with literally everything you could possibly need. Included was firewood.. also a major plus. I think the most impressive thing was the communication with the hosts. They were lovely, responsive and so kind. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful home and property
The house was everything we expected. Enjoyed Kayaking, grilling out, and the fire pit. River is very clean, was surprised I could walk across to the other side. If you put the Kayak's in by the power plant at HWY P, expect a good 3 to 3 1/2 hour float back to the cottage. You'll get to see Eagles, Deer, Turkey's, and Sandhill Crane along the way. Another plus is the large Humming Bird feeder at the kitchen window, lot's of Humming birds.

Wonderful Guests ! The Cottage was spotless when they checked out . Thank You very much !!
We were very pleased and impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage. The cottage has everything you need: from kayaks, canoes, and firewood to laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, bug spray, and games... very well-appointed! The owners were friendly and communicative prior to and during our stay. There is a resource binder in the cottage that was very helpful. The only thing we weren't aware of was that the cottage is right on the highway and although there is little traffic, the traffic that does pass by is going 55mph, so this might be a consideration for those with young children.
Overall, a wonderful place for a getaway!

So glad you enjoyed your stay π. The cottage is not on a highway though , it is a a county Road as the address states.
Everything about this place is 5 STAR. This is our fourth stay at Troy and Paul's cabin. The inside is always clean and well appointed. Everything you need is supplied. The outside is wonderful. Beautiful flowers in planters and flower beds. You will see the owners take pride in ownership. The neighbors were very nice. Lots to do. Float the river, visit the ice age trail, chippawa falls, chetek and many other small towns. Hope to be back again.

Great time!
We had a great weekend at the cabin. The view is wonderful, lots of local places to hike, kayak, etc. The only thing I would share is that the cabin is quite close to a semi-busy highway so don't plan to have your dog off leash or little kids running too much. Traffic and ATVs going by is a bit noisy. The back side (near the river) is great-- the dog loved swimming and we sat in the swing a lot. Really appreciated the kayak and canoe and all the other "included" things. You don't often find that!
The cabin itself is really nice, a lot of care taken-- great furniture and decor. And it was extremely clean!!
Response from VrboOwner on Mar 6, 2020
The cottage is on a "COUNTY HWY" in a very
rural area and has no more traffic than any other road in the area (only locals)
Dogs should always be leashed especially if they have a tendency to run and are not aquainted with the area.

Excellent
We stayed here over the 4th of July Holiday and were very impressed. The site is a beautiful location on a river. It's located close (upstream) to Lake Holcomb, which is also a great lake. It's a dammed flowage so there appears to be less of an issue with algae as other lakes may have. Oh, and the rental comes with the use of 2 canoes which is great on the river. We'd definitely come back, and we've recomended to others. Only downside would be that some of the rooms are a little small, so, just plan according to the number of guests staying (there are couches and futon that can be used if needed). The house as a whole is phenominal, in great shape, and has a nice firepit, and swing on the river! Highly recomended!!! Oh and the owners were very pleasant as well!
This home is absolutely incredible, and right where you want to be if you want to connect with family, or disconnect from the world.
Troy sent me a message a day early and let us know that we could check in early and let me tell you that made all the difference. A little down time before the crazy of the 4th of July weekend took hold.
We made so many memories with our family that we just cannot wait to go back. My granddaughters are 10 and though they had their tablets with them, not once in 5 days were they on them. Instead opting to catch crawdads, fish with their Papa, or just be lazy lumps on the floats.
I stay in rentals a lot for my occupation, and this is one of the best experiences I have ever had. Thank you so much for setting the scene of my family's reconnection!

This place was fantastic. Very clean and well equipped. Yard was beautifully maintained and the flowers and hummingbirds were amazing! Picnic tables, lawn chairs, canoes, swing seating - great for enjoying the beautiful river view and the river.itself. So quiet and peaceful! Great sleeping set up with 3 BRs up and options on main floor. Can't go wrong staying here!
