About Norm and Sue Peters

My wife and I are originally from Ladysmith, WI, which is about 30 miles north on highway 27. My father bought the cottage shortly after we got married. We lived in it for about 3 years before we built our own home next door. When my parents passed away, we inherited the property. We rented it on an annual basis until the last renter nearly destroyed it. I decided we would try the 'rent by the week' idea and see how it went. We are still fairly new at this and consider all suggestions to improve the cottage.

What makes this cottage unique

The view from the dining room and living room windows is beautiful and so peaceful.

Fantastic Getaway for the Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I stayed here this past weekend during our trip to the Rock-Fest 3 day concert in nearby Cadott, WI. Norm and Sue were very accommodating for our group with check in (extremely appreciated this since it meant we got to the venue in time to see the bands we wanted) as well as checkout. Being able to sit out by the river in the morning with our coffee as we got ready for the day also made the trip very relaxing. I would definitely recommend this rental to others and will be keeping it in consideration for our group for next years concert as well!

Owner's Response: Elisha and her friends were a joy to have as guests. They were able to check in early and leave a little later because there were lapses in reservations before and after theirs. The group was very respectful as we never heard them return after the day's concert. We hope they return next year.

Cute cabin on the river!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed at the cabin for our wedding anniversary trip. It was a nice place to stay to relax with the water right out the back door with a dock for fishing. The cabin is spacious and accomodating with plenty of room for a family. There is a firepit in the back so remember to pick up some wood before you go. The inside could use some updating but you can't beat it for the price. The outside of the cabin is very nice looking with a new roof and siding. Norm and Sue are very sweet and made sure our stay was enjoyable! Thanks!

Perfect river view

  • 5 of 5

The owners are very nice and the cabin is very spacious. All the basics in the kitchen are provided. The view of the river is excellent from the living room and one bedroom. There is a fire pit outside between the cabin and the river.

Owner's Response: Sorry about the personal items. They were left behind by other guests and we put them in an out of the way place but were still accessible. Thank you for your comment and we will rectify it right away.

Great location for exploring the surrounding areas. Wish we had more time! Be sure to check out Jim Falls gorgeous view and Brunett Island park and renting a kayak at park headquarters. You won't regret it.
