About Norm and Sue Peters

My wife and I are originally from Ladysmith, WI, which is about 30 miles north on highway 27. My father bought the cottage shortly after we got married. We lived in it for about 3 years before we built our own home next door. When my parents passed away, we inherited the property. We rented it on an annual basis until the last renter nearly destroyed it. I decided we would try the 'rent by the week' idea and see how it went. We are still fairly new at this and consider all suggestions to improve the cottage.

What makes this cottage unique

The view from the dining room and living room windows is beautiful and so peaceful.

Fantastic Getaway for the Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I stayed here this past weekend during our trip to the Rock-Fest 3 day concert in nearby Cadott, WI. Norm and Sue were very accommodating for our group with check in (extremely appreciated this since it meant we got to the venue in time to see the bands we wanted) as well as checkout. Being able to sit out by the river in the morning with our coffee as we got ready for the day also made the trip very relaxing. I would definitely recommend this rental to others and will be keeping it in consideration for our group for next years concert as well!

Owner's Response: Elisha and her friends were a joy to have as guests. They were able to check in early and leave a little later because there were lapses in reservations before and after theirs. The group was very respectful as we never heard them return after the day's concert. We hope they return next year.

great view, lots of space and can't beat the price!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend in mid-October for our "babymoon". The view of the river is fabulous and the location of the cabin is quite close to Brunet Island State Park. We went there a few times to do some day hiking. There are also some bike trails as well. Downtown Cornell was a short drive away and there are some cute cafes to eat at. Norm and Sue were great hosts!

Nice!

  • 4 of 5

my daughter and I stayed at this 2 bedroom cottage on the Chippewa River for a weekend stay. The view of the Chippewa River from the cottage windows was awesome even though it rained all weekend the view was fantastic. We both enjoyed watching the squirrels climbing the trees around the cottage. The cottage was very private with an open floor plan. Sue and Norm were great hosts, we enjoyed our stay. Thanks to Sue and Norm for sharing this cottage with us.
