This is a very nice house in a great location between Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula. The local grocery store and gas station made it easy to keep stocked with necessities. We would go back again, as we are sure the 2 issues we had (see below) would not be repeated.A mistake caused the check-in instructions to go to the wrong phone number, and so getting into the house at 2am was a nightmare. The host keeps their ringer off at night, and VRBO has no way of contacting them or telling us how to get in. It was extremently frustrating. But we finally figured out a way to get into the house (after almost an hour poking around in the dark) and didn't have to spend the night in the car in the driveway (we were very close to doing that). The host, after waking the next day, was apologetic, gave us the proper check-in instructions and gave us a complementary late check-out for our last day (which was very much appreciated). The only other issue was that they store their trash in the garage (I assume because of bears) and although the trash cans were empty, the stench from the trash from prior guests permeated the entire garage and the queen suite above the garage. It made that suite unusable for 36 hours (until we totally aired it out). But the garage remained extremely rank.Other than those 2 issues, the stay was actually quite wonderful. The house is well-equipped. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The hosts were kind.
