Cette retraite historique située à 2 ou 3 pâtés de maisons de 3 remontées mécaniques, restaurants et vie nocturne (Jack Sprat, Bake Shop et Sitzmark) a tout ce dont votre famille ou votre groupe a besoin pour une excellente escapade. Bouclez-vous sur les marches de la véranda, les pistes de ski de fond balisées sont à 2 blocs de ski de votre porte d'entrée. La nouvelle brasserie Girdwood Brewery est à seulement 4 pâtés de maisons. La chaise 5, le Mercantile et d’autres restaurants se trouvent à 10 minutes à pied.
Ce chalet des années 60 est vraiment dans son état vintage original. Les meubles originaux des années 60 en parfait état et les lits les plus récents (lit queen Tempurpedic dans le lit principal) garantissent une vie confortable.
Rénovation des commodités pour encore plus de confort: nouvelle chaleur radiant du sol (agréable et bien au chaud sur les pieds); Nouveau four / cuisinière à gaz pour la préparation de repas gastronomiques; nouvelle laveuse / sécheuse; et une deuxième salle de bains dans la chambre principale avec une douche à vapeur personnalisée en carrelage construite pour deux personnes.
le grand plan d'étage ouvert combinant salon avec un poêle à bois, salle à manger et cuisine; une cuisine entièrement équipée et salle à manger pourra accueillir tout festin de famille. La chambre avec lits superposés comprend un espace de divertissement / jeux pour les enfants ainsi qu’un nouveau baby-foot. Le grand pont partiellement couvert comporte un gril à gaz pour l'utilisation et une salle à manger en plein air. Détendez-vous sur le hamac dans le patch à la fraise.

The hosts were fantastic and super on top of it and friendly! This place was off the hook for a ski trip and great retro ski vibes! Super close to the lifts you can easily walk, has a great set up for ski chalet, and hot tub and steam shower were fantastic! In a great spot in Girdwood and a wonderful gem that anyone spending some time at Alyeska should definitely take advantage of! We are from Juneau and have been coming north to ski for years, but wish we had found this place sooner!

Girdwood VRBO

Very pleasant surroundings, the owners were quick to help when needed and the VRBO was everything we needed for our family of 10. We were greatly appreciative of the location and facilities! Very nice atmosphere and quite large.

Location was excellent, easy to get to the lifts or into town. The hosts were very responsive whenever we needed anything. Check-in and out were a breeze. We’d definitely stay here again.

The house is exactly as described. The bunks beds were very comfortable as were the queen beds. Hot tub was great. We enjoyed our three day stay and would book again. Hosts were very quick to respond to our questions.

Just What We Were Looking For!

We enjoyed our comfortable stay at the Groovey Chalet. Easy to book and the home owners were very responsive. Love the area, very convenient! Only thing missing from my wish list was a usable washing machine, however the local laundromat was pretty awesome!

Wonderful place! No issues!

This house was an absolute pleasure to stay at with plenty of room for a family with kids to spread out and have a good time. Everything in the house was fully stocked from extra towels, blankets, to all types of kitchen ware. The stream shower in the master bedroom was a dream especially after skiing. The fireplace was nice and cozy. The house is on a charming street in Girdwood. Our family will definitely be going back for another ski trip in the future! The owners are very accommodating and kind, their responses were always timely. Thank you again for everything!

Excellent Time!

This Groovy location was perfect for our family. It’s pretty much a straight shot to the Sitz and in a great neighborhood for taking a walk. The house has a really fun, throwback vibe, and while It’s an older house, it needs to be for this Groovy feel. And it embodies the spirit of old Girdwood which is a HUGE thumbs-up . The kitchen is small, but it never seemed to be an issue as it opens right up into the great room. The hot tube is why we chose this property, and it didn’t disappoint; it was private and like tubbing in the woods under the stars. The hosts were fantastic, easy to reach (not that we really needed to), and had good communication. Plenty of towels, pillows, TP, trash bags, kitchen items, accessories that are always needed. We had a great time with our older kids (16, 19, 22), but I can see this place being great for all ages. I think this will be our new “go-to” place when staying in Girdwood. Thank You!

Feb 2020 Ski trip

Wow! all the comforts of home. They really prepare for your stay. Fire wood ready to go, all the dishes you need, lots of spices and even food to add to your dishes, outdoor grill ready to go and best Keurig I've ever seen :) The steam shower truly helped with recovering these old bones for the second ay of skiing. Loved the theme of the home, original left from builder. Wouldn't change a thing, except needs more icy hot LoL! Owners even helped out exceptionally when I thought I left my keys behind. Thank you guys!

Property was exactly as listed. It was stocked with everything you might need. Town of Girdwood had a really cool vibe that went along with the vibe of the chalet. Steam shower was amazing.

Girdwood Groovy

This place was such a blast! The decor encouraged us to listen to 60s music and boy, was it fun. We also had fun fishing for salmon on the river. Definitely would come back!

Wonderful place for a Kenai basecamp. Got to spend a day at Wasilla with the Remington dog team, dead whale autopsy, hang around with Dead Catch crew in Homer and catch up with old friends in Eagle river.

Great cabin

The cabin was perfect for the 7 of us. Never felt crowded. The kitchen is tiny but worked fine. Thought the 60’s motif was cute. Kids loved the Xbox and fooseball. The new shower is very nice even though we never took a steam bath. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is it smells a little musty in the back of the house. Freezer needs to be cleaned out. Could use an empty cabinet to store our food. As a result had to use the available counter space for our stuff. Would stay again though as overall really liked the cabin.
