Charming 19th-century farmhouse located on the main street of a quiet village 38 miles north of Center City Philadelphia. Our six-bedroom home, with fully equipped kitchen, laundry, 2 full baths, and large fenced yard, is ideal for single or multi-family stays. A peaceful place to relax while visiting this beautiful and historic part of Pennsylvania.
The stone walls of the home make for deep, cozy window sills. Common areas downstairs are spacious, including a dining room table with seating for ten. Upstairs the space is judiciously divided into six bedrooms and one bath. The home has been carefully updated while maintaining many features of the original construction. Guest access You are welcome to be in any part of the living space in the house. Aside from accessing cleaning supplies or the fire extinguisher on the landing, we ask that you do not go into the basement. We also ask that you do not go into the attic or garage. Both of these areas are locked. Other things to note Parking is limited to the driveway of the home. There is no street parking. With care, five cars can be parked without anyone being blocked. Additional cars could be parked down the driveway, but they will block everyone else from being able to leave. Please contact us if you have questions about parking.

Great for an extended family attending a wedding nearby. Plenty of space for sleeping privacy and gathering spaces. Not fancy and only two bathrooms, but it worked perfectly for our group of nine adults. Grocery with delicious bakery not far.
I was really hesitant in booking this place due the age of the house but!! It turned out to be a great place to stay. Central to our activities and big enough for our family, with plenty of room to share. Communication with property manger was excellent. Had a little glitch with plumbing, which was no fault by management or ours, but was taken care of immediately. Over all excellent place to stay. Would definitely visit again
Perfect house for us, this lovely and spacious home teens with charm and history.
The layout was great, privacy and quiet in the upstairs bedrooms and plenty of room downstairs for group gatherings. We loved the outdoor space too - beautiful plantings.
I believe the house needs a porch light so when coming home at night you can see where the driveway is because it’s difficult to see especially when you do not know the area
Overall it was an enjoyable stay for New Year's weekend. House has all the necessary things you need for a big group.
I will recommend a little paint on the outside.
Large farm house with Plenty of space for large groups. Sleeps 16 people comfortably. 2 full baths. Nice yard. Great kitchen, Dining room spacious large livingroom with 3 couches, kids toy play area. Washer dryer and entry
The main floors were not swept. We had to sweep them. 3 beds needed clean sheets. Looked as though they were sleep in. So we we washed them. Plenty of towels for everyone
Would recommend for Large groups Overall very pleased
The Telford House has everything we need for our group. It is lovely old farmhouse style property with lots of bedrooms and generous communal space, including a dining room with space for a dozen or more people, and a large double living room were we could all gather. We loved cooking together in the kitchen which is fully equipped and has a nice layout. We spent a lot of time outside on the porch and at the table in the yard, and everyone loved the flowers that were in full bloom, just gorgeous peonies and others. The bedrooms were SO quiet and the mattresses were very comfortable. The house is so charming that we can't wait to come back next year, and wish we could get there again sooner (fingers crossed).
The host was very gracious and easy to reach and communicate with, as was the property manager. This was a wonderful experience.
This huge house fit my family of 6, plus some extended family, 12 in all. The driveway was a bit narrow getting in but we fit 5 cars in the parking area out back. The house is visibly historic, so there were some things that could be updated like the trim and other cosmetic items, but it was fuctional and spacious. There was some food left in the fridge and cabinets that were not properly sealed, so we disposed of them. I was asked to clean the grill after we used it, but it didn't look like it had been cleaned prior to our use. The barn and shed had some broken windows, but thoes structures were off limits, which was clearly stated in the description. The house was dusty in places and there were small spiders and ants throughout the house, which is expected at an older house as this. Each room had an AC, and the bathrooms were clean. The host provided plenty of dishes, cooking utelsils, dish soap, etc. The yard was large and fenced so my children could play safely. There was one railing on the porch out back, but as long as you're cautious it works. The piano was a great addtion and my 7 year old was very excited to play it. If you don't mind country living this place is fantastic, however if you would prefer hotel like accomodation, you may want to pass. I would stay again, loved the location and size to accommodate our large group. Thanks for a great stay!
Stayed here, along with several other close family members from all over the country while we were in town for a wedding.
It was a convenient location on a main road that wasn’t very busy. Like most places in the area, this house is located in a quiet country setting.
The house itself is old but well kept. It’s got a lot of character and quite a few quirks like the narrow stairwell, slanted wood floors, in-wall shelving, etc. but the 6 upstairs bedrooms provided ample space for our family of 14 to lay our heads at night, as well as great community space including a large dining room with a 16+ person table that was perfect for playing games at night, as well as a large living room with three couches, additional seating, a small breakfast table and piano. That community space created the perfect setting for lots of laughter and memories. The kitchen was nice and roomy with updated appliances.
The two baths, one with a toilet and shower and the other with a toilet and full bathtub/shower turned out to be sufficient for all of us too and we never ran out of hot water or anything like that.
The driveway was narrow but opened to a parking area that was comfortable for 4 cars and could have probably fit 1 more without anyone being blocked in.
Couple small cleaning notes: there was a filter with used coffee grounds left in the coffee maker, the microwave rotating table was caked with something that appears like burnt cheese, ave there were shards of glass and dust swept under one of the beds (maybe the cleaners got distracted and missed/forgot about those things). There’s also a broken window pane that was taped up and loose.
Those things were noticeable but ultimately small potatos in what turned out to be a great spot for me and my extended family to stay while we were in town for a long weekend.
Would definitely recommend for families of 10+ looking for a comfortable place to stay while in the area.
Nice size house for a group of friends to stay in with lots of hang out space downstairs and plenty of beds. Easy to access with parking and check in was simple.
Lots of room in this house. Was fully stocked with Al the comforts of home. There were even spice in the kitchen. House was clean, and very comfortable. Highly recommended this hosts home.
Property was great! The house was large, the property owners were very responsive. Would definately rent again!
