Double D Mountain Escape Family Cabin Close to Yellowstone!

Double D Mountain Escape Cabin is located in the beautiful Union Pass area of Dubois, Wyoming. It is a three bedroom, two bathroom log home with a detached two car garage. The cabin can sleep up to 10 people. It is completely furnished with everything you need to make your vacation more comfortable. It features a complete kitchen including dishes, utensils, cookware and dishwasher. The home also has a full size washer and dryer. A wood burning stove will make your evenings cozy and warm. Viewing of local wildlife is a common occurrence from the convenience of the living room.

Shoshone National Forest is less than ¼ mile away from your front door. It consists of 2.4 million acres of amazing views, wild life and riding trails! Trails lead right into the Teton National Forest for even more fun. Take a picnic lunch and go fishing on one of the countless lakes and streams full of trout. Enjoy world-class snowmobiling riders come from around the globe to experience. With endless trails ranging from groomed beginner to extreme professional. Miles and miles of trails await you!

Yellowstone National Park is perfect for a day trip located only 80 miles from Double D mountain Escape Cabin. See wildlife like buffalo, moose, elk, antelope, bear, and of course, geysers like Old Faithful, the mud pots, steam vents and hot springs.

Visit beautiful Jackson Hole and all the fun and flavor offered there! Don't forget to go into Dubois and visit historical landmarks, museums and delicious food and fun.

We really enjoyed our stay on Union Pass. We had a momma deer and her two fawns visit one evening and the stars were amazing. The cabin had everything a person needed. The only suggestion we have for others is to take plenty of drinking water.

We really enjoyed out stay at the cabin. The host was easy to reach and very helpful in answering the few questions we had. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay.

The cabin was lovely, well stocked and large enough to accommodate a family of five adults. Three bedrooms, with queen beds and/or additional single beds in each, as well as a day bed outside the upstairs bedrooms. The drive to the cabin is a 5 mile stretch of unpaved road, so a 4wd would be best as the road is uneven and can be muddy. There is no AC and no fans which is fine since the weather is cool at that altitude, however, is you run into some unseasonably warm weather as we did, it can get a little stuffy inside, unless you don't mind opening windows and having to deal with the inevitable bugs. It is a 15 minute drive up and down the mountain for wherever you want to go, but the location itself is beautiful and the nearby resort has a bar and restaurant, and there is another one just a little further down the road. It is close enough to Grand Teton yet far enough from the crowds to be quiet and peaceful. The owner is very gracious and hospitable, and the cabin has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. We had a wonderful time and greatly enjoyed our stay.

This pace is my favorite place to stay in the US. The hosts are so easy to get ahold of and willing to help with any questions you have. If you might have forgotten something at home there is a good chance you will find what you need in the home. It really has the feel like a home away from home.

Loved our stay! Property and host were excellent. Very prompt communication from the host. We had no need to reach out once there. Plenty of room. It was quiet and easy to relax. Plenty of room for two trucks and trailers. Lakes within an hour for kayaks. Plenty of side by side riding opportunities with snowy mountains in the distance. Beautiful scenery. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. No air conditioning but open the windows and you will be good to go! (Could use a fan to pull cool air in if you bring one)1 bedroom downstairs (with full and twin) with restroom and shower/bath and laundry. Upstairs there were 2 bedrooms. #1 had 2 twin and a full and #2 a full and a twin. Restroom and shower between the 2 rooms. Kitchen well stocked with plates, utensils, pots/pans, bowls and coffee maker. You have a 30 minute drive to the town of Dubois for supplies/groceries. Suggest getting groceries on way in. Town was friendly. Suggest eating at Cowboy Cafe in Dubois and grabbing a piece of pie! Noon Rock Pizza was great too!

Great place.

Road up to the cabin was rough so to washboarding probably due to the construction equipment up and down but beautiful place and comfortable cabin. Great set up. Would stay again.

Mountain Escape

Nice stay at the Mountain Escape. Enjoyed the accommodations. Wood fireplace was welcome after a day of snowmobiling.
