Nestled right on the water, this open-concept home features a spacious eat-in kitchen perfect for gathering, cooking, and enjoying lake views while you dine. Wake up to spectacular sunrises that fill the home with natural light and enjoy your morning coffee on the large screened-in porch overlooking the serene lake. Whether you’re relaxing indoors or spending time on the porch, the tranquil setting makes this the perfect getaway. Ideal for families, couples, or small groups this home offers everything you'll need for a peaceful and memorable stay. Bring a pole and enjoy the great fishing this lake provides or use the 3 kayaks for a day you'll never forget. Relax on this quiet lake in a hammock by yourself or at the campfire with family and friends. And you won't want to miss dining at The Douglas Lake Bar and Steakhouse, known to the locals as “The DLB", offering great food and live music on the lakeside patio in July and August.

There are 2 exterior cameras on the house that are for security reasons only when/if the property is vacant. Cameras WILL NOT be monitored during your stay



This lake house is the perfect location for day trips to Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, the U.P., Cross Village (tunnel of trees), Cheboygan, Petoskey, Harbor Springs or Charlevoix. It’s only a 15 minute drive to both Boyne Highlands and Nubs Knob ski resorts. You'll want to take advantage of the nearby snowmobile and hiking trails and golf courses. There are endless activities to do in northern Michigan no matter the season! **lake level varies by season**

Our stay was fantastic! The property was gorgeous and exactly what we were looking for. Very restful location with stunning views. The house had everything we needed and plenty of options for places to sit and enjoy the view.

Jennifer was very responsive and communicative thru out the whole process. I appreciated that very much! The view from the back of the house (especially in the morning) is beautiful. It was 5 adults that stayed here for 3 nights. We had plenty of bed space and the beds were very comfortable. We appreciate the coffee, filters and creamer soooo much! The only complaints we would have are that the bath towels are very small & could use an upgrade. There were no bath mats for the two bathrooms. So we had to use one of the very few towels we had for that. The couch arms are peeling & were rough to sit against. Also, the dryer alarm in the laundry room goes off randomly (even tho we never used it) & was pretty loud in the middle of the night.

Very cute and cozy cottage stay! We had a nice relaxing stay here. We loved the open kitchen and living room area for cooking/serving food. Due to the time of year (mid-June) and being on the water, the May flies were outside pretty bad but that is to be expected anywhere you go north. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Beautiful View Lakefront Cabin

Wonderful cozy cabin. Enjoyed the lake views and peak fall colors. Wood stove kept us toasty warm. Location perfect for day trips to Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Mackinaw City and Cheboygan.

Northern Michigan Fall Getaway

Great Property

Very spacious, well-appointed, clean cottage on Douglas Lake. Everything was as described and fit our family's needs. Kitchen is large with lots of cabinet space. Plenty of room for our group to spread out. Loved the screened-in porch and the covered outdoor patio. Would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful getaway

The house is how it states in the description. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable even without air conditioning it was nice that there were fans to move the cool night air. As others have stated I would bring bottled water because even though the water is safe to drink it doesn’t taste good. It would be a nice addition to have a 5 gallon water cooler. Overall, a lovely home to stay!!

Amazing Stay

This was an amazing property and home. Sunset views were absolutely unreal. We came to visit Mackinac Island, but half of our group decided to just hang out at the cottage - that's how much we loved it. Very well stocked inside and we really enjoyed having the kayaks. Great communication with the host as well.

Lake Living

5 life long friends from all over gathered to enjoy Mackinac Island!! We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the cabin as much as the Island!! The home was amazing (pictures do not do justice) Very clean and welcoming! The view is breathtaking! We very much enjoyed the fire ring and comforting sound of the lake and its environment!!! It is very spacious and felt like home! Our host was easy to work with and the whole process was seamless!!

Family Getaway

The house was a nice place in a quiet area. It was nice to have space where we could enjoy a meal together and relax after being out and busy all day. Really enjoyed lake access and the use of kayaks and the fire pit. (Bring bug spray as the mosquitoes were active when we visited.)

Birthday trip

Wonderful home and beautiful location. Easy check-in and out process. Everything we needed was there. Loved that there were soaps and such in the bathrooms. It was buggy outside and the water is well water, but we knew that going in. There was bug spray available and the water wasn’t an issue for us. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
