Relaxing, Family Freindly Ski House

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this house during the week after Christmas 2016. The 2 large living areas centered around the wood burning stove provided tons of space for all 10 of us to spread out and relax after a long day skiing - the pictures don't fully capture how warm and inviting the space is. The house is well outfitted with games (many of the classics that you haven't played in years) , all necessary cooking requirements and plenty of corks, signifying the many good times that have been had at the house over the years. Finally, the house has a very natural warm and relaxed feeling that makes it easy to stay at. I would recommend this house, especially for 2 large families as the bedroom spaces are well apportioned

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I had an amazing weekend with a group of friends. The house was warm, welcoming, and unique. The host left little notes all around the house that were funny and useful. This house is perfect for a ski weekend getaway and the host was so accommodating. 5 star property.

A very welcoming home

  • 5 of 5

This was THE best place to stay in the gorgeous Mt. Snow area! The house is roomy, homey, comfortable, and located smack dab in the middle of all the fun things you can do in any season. Hiking, biking, skiing, even horseback riding. Nice restaurants nearby, too, along with every convenience. There are lots of things to do inside the house, too, in case the weather puts the kibosh on your outdoor activities.

The landlord is extremely accommodating, generous, and truly interested in helping you enjoy your stay - and you will!

Perfect House at Mt Snow

  • 5 of 5

We have rented this house several times over the last 5 years and think it's a great house. Very well located near Mt Snow entrance in a quiet neighborhood. House is well laid out and has plenty of room. Great for two families. Owners are very accommodating and helpful.

Owner's Response: There is nothing better of our appreciation to our Renters than having them come back again and again and again as this is the case here. It has been like that with other past Renters too. Enjoying this great area in Vermont, only 3-4 hours away from both Boston and NYC its important that the feeling of GETTING AWAY is truly fullfilling. We believe our place offers just that.... with great value throughout the year. The extra proof is reflected in these complmentary Reviews.

Wonderful Weekend House

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful New Year's holiday here with another family and feel so lucky to have found this house! A perfect setup for two families with four teens and two preteens, with plenty of room to play cards, watch TV and cook meals. The house was incredibly well-stocked and comfortable, well-cared for and clean. A real home. Getting back and forth to the mountain was easy, using private car to shuttle over the early birds, and a second car driving over with the stragglers. We loved the setting, with the large windows opening onto a view of the forest and Mount Snow - can't wait to return, either to ski or to enjoy another season!

Your reply reminds me how fortunate we are to have this house and its beautiful setting. If you get a chance to come up in the summer/fall times you will see another nice perspective it has to offer. We look forward to many a return...Cheers!!!

Great house for big group!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great MLK weekend up in Vermont. The house was fully equipped and there was plenty of bedding and kitchen supplies.

Owner was great! He was very helpful and very prompt responding to emails.

House is great for a large group. We have young kids and there were plenty of games for them to play with too after a long day of skiing.

All in all I would definitely recommend this home for a large family or group of friends!

Why Andy Grossman chose West Dover

Mt. Snow is a great mountain which offers many things to do throughout the year. Along with new owners attempting to take this mountain to the next level it never loses track as a real Vermont down-to-earth feeling about it... and extends throughout the Deerfield Valley. You won't see fast food chains here nor big box stores, only local retail establishments all in their unique way to show you their wares and make you feel comfortable. You do develop friends in time here. Getting away from Rye Brook, in Westchester County and head up for a weekend takes us from 3-3:30 hours (180 miles)goes by quite quickly. Many times we stop along the way and find plenty of things to do and see, especially with the different routes we take on getting up here. It certainly keeps one's interest upbeat as we have been regularly driving up for over 15 years. The location is ideal. You can reach the Berkshire's to the south, the Killington area to the north, the Lake George region and Saratoga Springs to the west, and the Connecticut River and deep into New Hampshire to the east all within a 90 minutes. There seems to be just the right drivng balance. All this makes this our wonderful get-a-way. As a bonus, the new Owners are pouring money into this mountain. Their goal is to make this one of the top spots in the east. All ready some significant improvements have been made such as top-of-the-line snowmaking fans... with plenty more to come. The atmosphere at the mountain is quite upbeat.

What makes this house unique

Many varieties of restaurants, pub like spots with plenty of laughter and live music, all kinds of trails to hike, bike and ski, craft fairs, a variety of food fests coupled with two wine and three beer fests...and everything in between can keep you quite busy all within minutes of mour house or you can simply sit back and just enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer with our wonderful views, the sounds of a running river and the smell of pine. even vegetating on the comfy sectional watching TV, reading a book or putting together one of our 1,000 piece puzzles, all with the views of the mountain in the background gives you a relaxed feeling inside. I guess they call this an ideal LOCATION!!!

Car: necessary

Flee markets. a variety of craft fairs, beer, wine and food fests, blueberry and garlic fests, fireworks at the mountain, jazz concert during the summer. Mountain bike races. New Mudder's Weekend which drew over 15,000 people in May.

All in all our location is ideal for almost anything.
