Tired of the plain jane hotel rooms, with noisy hallways, blah looking sheets and never enough pillows? Come on in to the Woodford Guest House. Drive in to Mckenzie Towne - a front porch European looking community. Park in your own parking pad & follow the red brick path to your own entrance. No walls or hallways to share with anyone else. Up the stairs you will find a fully furnished 1 bedroom apartment. Lots of bright colored towels, red curtains, fun bedding, LOTS of pillows, a colorful queen sized sofa bed, 7 windows to soak in the sun, laundry machine and soap so you can go home with clean clothes, and coffee, tea and hot chocolate to get you started. And don't forget the warm plate of fresh baking to greet you. Enjoy a leisurely 15 minute walk to our popular High Street, with shopping, coffee shops & pubs. Hop in your car, and in 20-30 minutes you will find shopping, Calgary Tower, Stampede grounds, Elbow Falls, the Zoo & more. Or venture out to the mountains for the day. Cost is $110 Canadian per night.

Home away from home
Anytime we’re in Calgary, we stay at Mona’s. Her carriage style apartment is clean, cozy and convenient. You can tell it really matters to Mona that her guests are happy. From her personalized welcome note to the baked treats- everything is there to make our stay a pleasant one. This is the only place we’ll stay in whenever we’re in Calgary!
Lovely suite for my family in a quiet neighborhood.
The owner is a ray of sunshine into your stay. Does anything for us including sharing dicounts for attractions and walking our dog. Our family loves coming here.
Super Clean and Comfortable!
A perfect stay! Mona has thought of all the extras in this warm and welcoming apartment. It was incredibly clean, very tastefully decorated, and fully stocked with kitchen AND bathroom essentials. There was plenty of room for two adults and two teens. Our daughters were thrilled when they saw the welcome note and the basket of goodies on the table. It was a lovely personal touch. The washer and dryer were an added bonus. The private parking pad right next to the unit was very handy for unloading/loading. Mona was very attentive and quick to respond. Would definitely stay again, and will recommend to others visiting Calgary!

Better than a Hotel.
We visited the garage apt in March. Weather was snow, and the City of Calgary does not plough the streets leading to the apt or around the apt. Terrible road conditions with no service. Had to keep the heat on to the highest, to stay comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower, and the apt was small and cute. The furniture was not comfortable, very hard on the back, both the couch and chairs. Bed mattress was not the best, but no back issues.
Wonderful experience; a great place to stay!
The Guest House is a clean, cozy, and terrific place to stay in SE Calgary. Mona is welcoming, her guest house over the garage is lovely, and filled with amenities that make it much better (not to mention more affordable) than staying in a hotel. There was a perfect amount of space for my husband and I to relax in, and the whole experience was terrific. We will definitely stay at Mona’s again!
(The only caution would be if you have trouble with stairs; that would make it difficult to get up to the apartment, as it is over the garage.)
You MUST stay here
A little gem of a place in the heart of McKenzie Towne, unassuming but very pleasantly welcoming.
The guest house is superbly furnished and has a home from home feel about it. So much nicer than a hotel.
It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, toiletries, hairdryer, condiments, home made fayre and a welcome basket of goodies.
Very comfortable bed provided a perfect nights sleep and lots of choice of tv, videos and games if you ever had time to be bored.
I stayed two nights and met my host Mona. What a lovely person and genuinely welcoming.
I could not recommend this place to stay highly enough, don't pass it by if you visit Calgary. It's so close to everything yet in a very quiet neighbourhood.
