Comfortable, Quiet, Great location.

Very clean, hosts were very friendly and easy to contact. Comfortable bed, awesome shower. Didn’t have one issue during the entire stay. Couldn’t ask for anything much better! Would definitely book again! Thank you! :)

Great people!

The property was just as advertised and the check-in instructions were extremely helpful and accurate! They even allowed me to borrow a charging cord for my phone! These are good folks—support them!

Clean and Comfortable

Great place to stay for one night! Property is behind host’s home (as is the street parking) and is like a large studio apartment but without a kitchen. Bathroom is large and has a composting toilet. Communication was excellent and check in process was super easy.

Emmaus Stay for Macungie

As this is our second time staying at this location I cannot say enough. The unit is a perfect alternative to a hotel while going to the Macungie Car Show. If I am ever in the area I will always try to see if the unit is free as my first choice in booking while attending functions in the surrounding area.

This was an excellent place that I would stay at again. Good quiet neighborhood. It was nice and roomy. Very clean. The shower was large and roomy. The only small thing the wife said is there is no dresser to put stuff in for an extended stay. That could be added very easily.

Nice but had bedbugs

Nice place but was awoken at 1AM by a bed bug bite. The owner did not get back to me until later the next day after 3 texts and did not even apologize until AI pointed out she never apologized

1st of, I personally slept in the unit from 5pm 17th till 6am on 18th. Jason checked in on 18th and reported he found one bedbug during his stay overnight. The Guest left a single adult bug in a sandwich bag on the bathroom counter. Saturday 19th we immediately inspected for bugs, the linens were stripped from the bed and the only evidence of bedbugs was the single specimen left by the Guest in the sandwich bag. 2nd, Terminex was scheduled for Monday morning to further investigate and inspect the unit. Terminex confirmed the specimen left by the Guest was indeed a bedbug but found no evidence of infestation. No eggs, shells or debris was found anywhere in the room. Tuesday the property was treated using Hot Shot Bed Bug and Flea Killer Aerosol Fogger (3-Count) and 8 oz. Bed Bug Killer Dust Treatment With Diatomaceous Earth. We have monitored the situation for a week now and have found no evidence of bedbugs. 3rd, we spray bug killer once every three months because me personally get all hair up when I see bugs. We don't even have ants in the house. Then 28th we got response from VRBO/Expedia group our health safety and security measures are met at their standards. Where did that one specimen coming from? I'll leave that to you people with bright mind to decide.

Great spot

Clean, renovated, quiet. Safe neighborhood. Parking. The ONLY thing is that it's hard to find, so pay attention to the instructions the owner provides. The instructions help, but if you fail to read the whole thing, you will get lost. Really nice place. So clean. Big space.

As described

We just needed a place to sleep following a family wedding enroute to our way home.. We certainly didn't want to spend the $300. the hotels were asking, so this was a great fine for our budget.. It was a little confusing trying to find it, but if you carefully read the host's directions, it became clear.. The unit was very clean. It would have been nice to have a TV that at least got some local stations, but we were told it did not, so that was on us.

This Emmaus residence was up a hill, in an area that was rough looking. We entered through a narrow opening between the garage and, a car and RV to get to the entrance door. When we entered we found a large room, walk-in closet and a bathroom. My wife said, "no way am I staying here." There was a microwave and small fridge behind the entrance door. The bed didn't have a bedspead. Next to a TV was a nailed up door. The black sofa had a gray ill-fitting sofa cover. The stand up closet was in a small room. It looked like something you find at an antique flea market. The shower was ok but the toilet had a water pump used to help flush the waste. You have to flush 2-3 times to remove all the waste. There was an office table with a can of coffee and coffee pot. We arrived at the property around 6:30p. After about fifteen minutes of looking around I got on the phone and found a hotel to stay at for 3 nights. I grew up in Emmaus. My wife and I were there for my nephew's memorial service. We were looking forward to staying in my hometown. We were very disappointed. We picked the place because of its location and the 9/10 rating. At best I'd give it a 6/10.

Hosts be aware, when Glenn first contacted be two days before arrival telling me his wife has rspotory problem and would like to cancel, even with no cancelation policy in place, i was willing to work with him and informed him to call VRBO, then VRBO will contact me for permission. But then he messaged and said they can come, so kept the reservation. On day of check in, he texted and said they checked in. Then after a while texted again saying they cannot stay because how neighborhood looks run down and guest unit run-down, toilet has with a pump and nailed shut door access to our main house. Also further sais he already sent photos of my property to VRBO. Then he requested full refund, yet never canceled reservation, so his booking occupied all three nights i cannot do anything about re-couping loss. Then he turned around and said he did not know he has to call VRBO, now threatening to post me on FB and social media and to have his lawyer friend pursue me for the refund. I will leave this here for you all to decide.

Cancelled my reservation on the day of Check In....

I was on site and received an e-mail at 4:00 PM saying that my reservation was cancelled because they double booked the room with Air B B and VRBO. So, it was stuck without a place to stay during very heavy demand due to functions going on in the area. I was told that they refunded my payment...I made the reservation 4 months in advance....and offered me a 50% off of my next visit....that isn't happening. If they know that they doubled the booking why not tell me in advance so that I could have made prior arrangements....that didn't happen....I was told at the time I was to check in. I will never use VRBO again to book my stays. I have booked this same location 3 years in a row....and now this. Sounds very fishy to me.

The location is tucked away, in a nice quiet neighborhood. Everything was super clean & neat. I will definitely book again when I’m the area. It’s just as described. The host was very kind & responded immediately to my needs.

Great Location

The unit was excellent and provided everything that we needed except 1 thing....lamps. No Desk Lamp, No Nightstand Lamps. In order to have lighting, you needed to turn on the overhead lights which provided a solar flare experience. Lamps would be an excellent addition to make the unit perfect.. Another addition would be additional towel bars in the bath. When you have two people each taking a shower it would be great to be able to hang the towels up for drying. I would also like to see 2 hand towels vrs. just 1 with the two towels and 2 washcloths. Speaking from experience as a host myself, these are the few things I would add to make the stay absolutely perfect. A great property and thanks for everything. Great Host!!!!
