We are so lucky to be able to offer you our home on top of WISP Mountain in the exclusive gated community known as North Camp at WISP Mountain. There is not a single item that is less than 'perfect' in this Craftsman home and it has been lovingly decorated to give amazing comforts and an awesome night's sleep.

The kitchen is wonderfully appointed to where Bobby Flay would be happy to work in it! The Living Room has a ton of windows to bring the forest into the home. Relax on the back deck nicely furnished for a relaxing evening or the enclosed three season porch when the weather is not cooperating.

Rainy days are no problem with the amazing game room on the lower level. Find a slate pool table, shuffleboard, and foosball just waiting for you. Comfortable seating surrounds the lower-level gas fireplace and the TV for evening entertainment. Moving on with the lower-level, there are 2 bedrooms sharing a Jack & Jill bathroom. Each bedroom offers a TV and a pyramid bunk with a full bed on bottom and a twin on top. With an extra half bath on this floor for convenience.

Upstairs has 3 bedrooms with 2 Kings and 1 Queen. Of course, each bedroom provides its own TV and there is a full bathroom upstairs as well. On the main floor is the owner's suite with a King bed and its own bathroom. Again, quality at every turn to provide for maximum guest experience!

Outside you will find a fire-pit with seating and the nearby WISP ski resort offers endless fun, skiing, mountain coaster, ropes courses, disc golf, outdoor concerts in the summer, and other enjoyable activities, with the lake minutes away for a good time all year round! The surrounding area offers many State and National parks for hours of enjoyment either hiking, fishing, boating, skiing (downhill and cross-country) or biking. There are multiple golf courses within minutes of the house and more within 20 miles of the home if you do not mind a little drive through the country side. We look forward to helping your family create memories at Tucked Away!

Do not store any trash outside. There are bears in the area, dumpster is up the road on left. Our HOA does not allow garbage cans. Please be respectful to the neighbors. Try to minimize noise after 10
Screened porch windows open by lifting from the bottom. I know it seems like you should slide in the 2 bottoms on top of the window but that is how the windows come out.

House is in an excellent location, especially if you plan on checking out Wisp. House was clean and as described. Enjoyed the pool table and foosball. Only issue we had was that the beds were not made upon our arrival. The owner did offer a late check out as an option.

Fantastic and quiet spot and an excellent experience. The house was a fantastic space and we loved the game room and hanging around the great room and sunroom. There were just a couple of essentials we needed to get because they weren't there (dish soap, trash bags), but it was minor and there is a grocery a short drive away. Definitely a place we're putting a pin in the next time we're planning on traveling to Deep Creek again.

Great house, ideal for skiing

Tucked Away was a great house with lots of room for all 11 of us. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well supplied and the house was equipped with games and activities. The best part for us was the easy access to the ski slopes right from the house. Great family vacation.

Perfect family weekend get away

Tucked Away was a great place for our family of 13 and Deep Creek has a variety of things to do. Everything in the cabin was very nice and in excellent condition. My favorite thing about the home was the vibe: comfortable, clean, spacious, relaxing, layout was nice and so much to do! We plan to return!

Wonderful Staycation

Our large family has taken multiple staycations and this property was by far our favorite. From the large space, to the game room, to the extensive dishes available in the kitchen, it was great. We only had 1 minor observation which we noticed while checking out. The mattress protector on the bed we slept on was visibly stained. Other than that, we had a great time. The property manager Dan was awesome and extremely responsive.

Thanks for the review and I agree with the bed covers and have spoken to the management company about them. They assured me they are washed in hot mater to sterilize but they so seem unsightly. Unfortunately the alternative is to not have them and the bed gets stained which makes it difficult to clean. I wish I had an alternative but I can't think of one. And I wish folks wouldn't stain the bed but I guess that isn't going to happen, lol. Glad you enjoyed yourselves.

Great House, But Misleading Location on VRBO Map

Be aware that the VRBO map incorrectly places this property just a few houses from the ski slope (Lift 6)—it is not. The actual address, listed below the map, is much farther down the street and not within walking distance of the slopes.That said, the house itself is beautiful! The basement game room is incredible—pictures don’t do it justice. It was very comfortable for our group of 10, with exceptionally comfortable beds.The check-in process was smooth, and communication before arrival was great. However, the provided directions are outdated—the road is no longer gravel, but GPS worked fine to get us there.

I don't disagree with your statement but the map and vrbo information I have no control over. Yes, chair 6 is closer if you don't walk all the way to the top which is a 1/2 mile away. The trick is that you don't have to walk to the top. Take one of the side streets or where the dumpsters are and you can hop on the slope there. I am a skier so I just take the quick 2 min ride to the top of the hill parking lot and get on the trails their but boarders are more able to walk

Beautiful House Well Stocked

Everything was perfect for our weekend family stay. Very nice house and lots of fun in the game room. Very well stocked kitchen. The only cons, very small in my opinion, were the game room had a broken tv with a note saying a new tv was being ordered. The coffee pot was too small for the machine, used a coaster to boost the height. The smaller upstairs bed was sunken in the middle. It should probably be replaced. I would stay here again.

Thank you for the review and I apologize for those inconveniences. The house was just built and we are trying to get this type of info to make the needed changes. The bed is discouraging since it is less than a year old and will have to speak with them about a replacement. The TV I was unaware of. I use a management company who is supposed to take care of these things. If possible could tell me exactly which TV you are referring to so I can go there myself. Will look into the coffee pot and see if I can find another pot for it. Thanks

Perfect fit!

Overall this place was perfect!! It was the right size and amenities - we actually didn't even have enough time to enjoy all that it offered! So much space and different games! Our only frustration was that the description & check in process stated that we'd get a starter pack of supplies so we opted to not bring trash bags & dishwasher soap, but there ended up not being a starter pack upon arrival and the management company did not rectify the error so we had to run out and get those items. The communication with the management company was terse and frustrating, but otherwise our stay was ideal!

A fabulous Thanksgiving Celebration!

This was by far the best house we've rented for the Thanksgiving holiday so far (been coming for 8 years). From the moment of our reservation until our final check-out, everything was easy and straight forward! The house was very well equiped and spacious... Every need was met and the management was perfect. I love the fact that you can text at any time if you have any questions. This is a yearly get together for my family so it's alway important to have lots of things for everyone to do within the house. Love the separate downstair entertainment area and the fire pit outside. Plenty of room to get out of each others hair too. Location was fantastic; close to grocery and ski resort. Thank you for having us!!! See you next year...

Well maintained

It was clean and well maintained. Spacious master bedroom (king bed)on main level with en-suite bathroom. Main level also has half bath. Upstairs has three bedrooms (2 kings and 1 queen) and 1 shared bathroom. Lower level has two bedrooms (bunk beds) connected by a full bathroom. Also has game room with another half bath. The sunroom was a nice feature doubling as an extra dining room since we did not all fit in the dining table. Plenty of large cookwares. Bonfire was very nice. Only cons: 1) Shower curtains had red mildew on bottom. I suggest using plastic/vinyl shower curtain or washing the cloth curtain after each visit. 2) Upstairs bathroom couldn’t locked. 3) kitchen faucet is a bit faulty. You have to jiggle it a bit to make sure it really turns off.

Thank you for the information. Having issues with my management company on their inspection of the house and this is actual information I can show as further proof that those inspections are not thorough and can be harmful. I will take the hit, sort of, for the kitchen faucet. Always was an issues and hard to shut off. Should have replaced it as soon as we realized it was not adequate. Still the home inspection should catch these things and bring them to my attention. My wife and I usually get up there at least once a month and we have noticed the shower curtain and have been washing it, in bleach. The management company states that cloth is better since it doesn't show the water drip marks but it only works if they are diligent in the effort to make sure it is clean. Never heard about bathroom door and I believe the home inspections should catch these things. I do appreciate the information and will respond accordingly to fix these issues
