From Start to finish this home an awesome experience. Cathy answered any questions you would have and can call her anytime. I did my Bridal Party there for the weekend and it was indeed great. The house was gorgeous and the view was to die for. I will indeed recommend this house for any one.
We are delighted that everyone had a great time at your Bridal Party held a few weeks ago! The Ocean Paradise Villa has gorgeous views of the beautiful, crystal clear sea of the Caribbean. There are a few steps leading into the warm ocean and guests are asked to bring along their snorkel gear to experience the fabulous marine life under the sea. There is also a BBQ and pool for additional fun. The entire home and pool are completely private and opposite an Ambassador's Residence in a quiet neighborhood. We look forward to having you stay with us again soon.
Great experience in the Bahamas
We stayed here Aug 2017, and loved it. It was our first visit to Bahamas. The house was just as described, fully furnished with everything you would need. The house was spacious enough for us. We had 2 adults and 4 kids 17 and under, they loved having the pool to just relax. We all enjoyed being out of the mainstream and having privacy, 15 min drive from Nassau. Driving was not difficult at all. The local beaches were close if we chose to do that for the day. A great local grocery store is nearby, and the staff there went out of their way for us. Cathy was attentive and answered any questions we had, right away. It was a perfect home away from home! Definitely recommend this rental.
Cathy's ocean house is wonderful!
We had a fantastic time at Ocean Paradise! We were a family of 8 adults, 2 infants and 1 toddler. We had more than enough space for an entire week. The home was surprisingly well equipped for children, with toys, a play-yard, bouncy seat, books, and sand toys to be enjoyed. This truly is a great place for families to spend their vacation. Outdoor space that is safe, a pool to swim in, and quiet rooms for sleeping. We loved the large outdoor patio. The sunrise every morning was amazing. Lounging on the terrace in the afternoon sun was great for tanning, relaxing, reading and hanging out. We BBQed every night for dinner. It was wonderful. The home was very clean and comfortable for such a large group. Bedrooms are huge, beds comfortable and enough bathrooms for all. The area was beautiful. A 10 minute walk down the road is a small local beach that was lovely to relax at, wade in the beautiful water (all sand in the water so great for kids) and enjoy the sun. Downtown Nassau and all of the major desired destinations (Paradise Island, Atlantis etc) are an easy 20 minute drive. Best to follow Cathy's directions from the airport if driving or have GPS as most streets are NON named even though printed map directions will provide street names. You will get lost if you do this. Cathy was also a great host -- responded immediately to anything we needed, Very accommodating and helpful. I would highly recommended staying here for your Nassau vacation. Couldn't ask for much more!!
We are thrilled that everyone had a fabulous time at Ocean Paradise Villa! Families are welcome. The kids love to swim in the private pool alongside the Oceanfront home or walk a few steps to the sea which is about 35 steps from Ocean Paradise Villa. The sunset and dawn views are spectacular and breath-taking so bring along your best camera upon your next visit. We look forward to having you visit again next year!
Please update my stars
I already wrote a review and gave it 5 stars. It shows up as only 3 stars. Please fix!
Thank you for the great review! I am extremely happy that everyone had a fantastic vacation at Ocean Paradise Villa. We look forward to your family staying at the Oceanfront home away from home again next year.
We arrived and the house was exactly was I was expecting. The living area is very open and welcoming. We had 3 adults and 3 children and everyone had enough breathing room! Having the pool with the house was a huge bonus! The kids got to decide whether or not to swim in the ocean or the pool! The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. Cathy was very responsive when we needed bottled water delivered (HUGE PERK - having fresh water) and extra towels. We did rent a car (minivan) which just fit in the driveway and driving on the left side of the road was much easier than I anticipated. Without traffic the drive to downtown and/or Paradise Island was about 15 minutes on a beautiful coastal road. The grocery store is literally 5 minutes away. The location is perfect if you want seclusion from tourists but close enough to everything when you choose. I will definitely be visiting again!
Beaufitful house and location
The house was perfect! We had seven adults (three couples and a single) and the accommodations worked out perfectly. the back has steps that go down to the water and you swim right off the back of the house. The water is around waist deep and is perfect. I have rented a few vacation houses and one of my pet peeves is when the accommodations state that it can house 7 people comfortably and them you get there and there never enough dishes and utensils for everyone. Cathy has more than enough of everything for a lot more than just seven people! The outside grill is weathered from being so close to the ocean and salt air but it worked perfectly and grilled everything evenly. This house is in a beautiful location and is well kept just far enough away from all the tourist locations where you have peace and quiet. With that said the one thing you'll have to keep in mind is that you should plan on renting a car to get around the island but unless you're staying on a resort you'll need a car to get around anyway. I would recommend this house to anybody looking to rent a vacation home in Nassau.
Thank you Cathy for sharing you're wonderful house with us. My Family and I enjoyed it!
We are delighted that the accommodations worked out perfectly and comfortably for all seven adults. Also happy that everyone enjoyed the warm, crystal clear sea which is approximately 35 walking steps from the Ocean Paradise Villa's rear door.
I agree that the sea is usually at a comfortable height of around waist deep and it is a fantastic area to swim, snorkel or just gaze at the Star Fish at the bottom of the ocean. Just bring your snorkel gear and floats!
The BBQ grill is located near (practically in) the ocean and usually has to be replaced each year or otherwise looks weatherworn from the salt air but is in good working condition.
We usually recommend leasing a car as it's more convenient; however, some guests prefer to stay at Ocean Paradise Villa, lounge on the chairs outback, enjoy BBQ, private pool and relax with the spectacular and amazing view of the Sea.

Please find below 12 suggestions for 'Things To Do In Nassau' as follows: 1. The Straw Market - Start your vacation at Nassau's Straw Market. It's in the middle of town, and it's very popular with visitors. 2. Bay Street - If you're looking for bargains on designer clothing and other luxury items, you'll be delighted with the duty-free prices in Nassau's prime shopping district. Dance your way from store to store, with music from the steel drums at the nearby Straw Market 3. The Pirates Museum for families with kids seem to really enjoy this adventure. 4. Have your wedding or anniversary celebration at one of our gorgeous beaches or one of our Oldest Churches called Christ Church Cathedral in downtown where Prince Harry recently visited. 5. Ardastra Gardens - One mile west of downtown Nassau, you'll find one of the area's most enduring tourist attractions. A conservation center run by people who consider the animals--especially the flamingos--their companions, not pets. The Gardens' must-see attraction is their world-famous Marching Flamingo show which takes place three times daily. As their guide shouts commands, 30 or more flamingos perform in unison. No visit to Nassau is complete without a visit to this quirky site. 6. Fort Charlotte - While you're at Ardastra Gardens, visit nearby Fort Charlotte, the largest and most interesting of Nassau's three colonial forts. It features a waterless moat, a drawbridge, underground passages and even a dungeon. Be sure to look for graffiti etched in the walls by soldiers who were stationed here. Although this 18th-century fort isn't especially beautiful, you'll be glad that you brought your camera for the picture perfect views of Nassau Harbor. Admission to the fort is free, as are the regular guided tours . 7. Queen's Staircase - While you're touring the town, be sure to climb the Queen's Staircase. With one step for each year of Queen Victoria's life, the top of this limestone staircase offers one of the best views of the area. Considered one of the world's top ten outdoor staircases, it's also a short walk from the top to Fort Fincastle, built in 1793. This is another spectacular lookout to capture Nassau's magnificent landscapes in photos. 8. Junkanoo - If you're in Nassau in December, get ready to party at the annual Junkanoo festival. 9. Underwater splendor - Snorkeling is one of the many ways to enjoy the crystal clear waters that are just outside your door in Nassau. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, you can rent snorkeling and diving equipment, take lessons, go on a guided underwater tour, or set out on your own. If you're not a swimmer, you can still see the underwater landscapes that make Nassau so famous. Glass-bottom boats and a floating underwater observatory are just a few ways for you to see the many exotic fish and fabulous coral reefs in Nassau's tranquil turquoise waters. 10. Shipwreck Cruises - For the ultimate adventure, hop a boat and sail to a deserted island for lunch, snorkeling, and exploring. Several companies offer exciting planned adventures for adults as well as families, with different destinations and themes. Whether you're interested in a leisurely cruise or a high-speed ride on a world-class powerboat, you'll find a wide range of water adventures waiting for you in Nassau. 11. Paradise Island - Cross the bridge or take a water taxi to Paradise for an unforgettable adventure. 12. Versailles Gardens and Cloisters - These are part of the Ocean Club resort on Paradise Island, and are well worth seeing. The Bahama Islands are magnificent, and Nassau is their crown jewel. Whether you come here for the many attractions or simply to relax at our Oceanfront Villa.
