What a great cabin! Beautifully kept with plenty of sleeping options. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Loved the yard, the firepit, and the creek out back. The bluegills kept the fishing entertaining!
Wonderful cabin, and the communication from the host was fantastic. I was particularly impressed with how well the host anticipated any needs that might arise from a guest.
It was a very clean cozy cabin. Its in a nice quiet neighborhood on the water. the neighbors were friendly. They have a firepit and kayaks tonuse. It was over all a great play to stay
The cabin was great and easily accessible to everywhere we were staying. My husband loved the build of the cabin and the view of the fireflies across the field was memorizing.
This was our second year staying at this property. It is lovely and feels like home. We hope to visit again one day. The area is lovely and central to a lot of activities. Highly recommend and the owner is a joy to deal with!
This was a great stay for visiting Gettysburg. We loved the country setting. We had fun fishing. Communication with the host was great. We loved the cottage.
We stayed 4 night at this cozy cottage, my Partner and our 3 boys. 18, 13 and 13 with our husky mix dog Jynx. The house was quiet, our master bed was comfy. The boys said their room was tight, but nice. The creek had lots of fish and great views. Close to historical Gettysburg it was perfect for a quick family trip.
Location was great and the cabin was beautiful! There were some dirty dishes left in the cupboard (presumably from previous guests), and the downstairs toilet hadn’t been cleaned. The kayaks were dirty and in disarray, and the hose didn’t work so we couldn’t even hose them down ourselves to use them. However, the scenic location and comfortable coziness of the cabin more than made up for these shortfalls.
Brenda's cabin on the river was the perfect place for us to get away from it all. It was a great home base for exploring Gettysburg, but also a beautiful peaceful getaway - we enjoyed ending our days with a glass of wine on the river-front deck, listening to the quiet and the birds. The cabin had all the modern conveniences to keep us perfectly comfortable, yet all the historic charm of an authentic log cabin. Many thanks to Brenda for being a fantastic hostess - she was very responsive and attended to every detail!
My wife, teenaged step-son, his friend, and I stayed at the cabin for 3 nights. This is a very well kept building stocked with just about everything you need for and enjoyable trip. We were visiti Gettysburg (about 25 minutes away) and could not have found a better place to stay.
The place was just beautiful. The location was great and close to Gettysburg. We loved the back porch. Everything was like the pictures show. We would definitely stay here again.
The cabin is beautiful, with updated kitchen and baths that don’t diminish its antique charm. We just loved the place. My husband had fun catching 7 fish in just 45 minutes. The host was always responsive. Nice getaway.
We just returned from spending a week here. The cabin was incredibly comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet, and everything was in close proximity to many historical sites. We very much enjoyed kayaking in Conewaga Creek behind the cabin and spending peaceful evenings on the deck. It was a great place for a vacation.
This was our second time staying at this property and it was exactly as we remembered. Brenda was so easy to communicate with and we look forward to our next trip.
