A UNIQUE COMBINATION OF COMFORT, TRANQUILITY AND ACTIVITIES!
When you dream of a tropical paradise, do you dream of a place where a white sand beach stretches out in front of you? Or of a world where the water is a kaleidoscope of turquoise and aquamarine hues?
If that’s your ideal vacation, then come enjoy our home while vacationing in Paradise! This spectacular 3rd and 4th floor condominium is located in the B-building directly on Sapphire beach, with breathtaking 180° views from each floor of the ocean and the neighboring islands (St John and British Virgin Islands). To us, this is the “Good Life” or “Bonne Vie”!
Just imagine...sitting back on one of the two private balconies enjoying your morning coffee (or afternoon cocktails) in a lush tropical setting listening to the calming sounds of the ocean lapping at the sand! As you sit looking out, you contemplate a dip in the water or a leisurely stroll down to the pristine beach, feeling the sugary white sand between your toes and admiring the incredible blue Caribbean water. All of this is located right in front of our home…we must warn you, you’ll have to pinch yourself or you'll think you've gone to heaven!
We are proud to share our private paradise – Villa Bonne Vie - with you! Capture the splendor of the ocean within arms reach, as your worries and cares fade away. Our newly remodeled condo is tastefully set up as our home-away-from-home and comes complete for anyone to walk in and be more than comfortable.
The condo boasts floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that open onto two private balconies with awesome views of Sapphire Beach and the Caribbean. The condo is fully air-conditioned (separate controls on each floor) and completely furnished with cookware, luxury bed and bath linens, beach towels, and a cooler for your trips to other beaches.
On the main floor there is a living room with a Queen sleeper-sofa, dining area, large flat screen TV, cable, stereo w/iPod dock, renovated full bathroom, and a brand new kitchen that has everything to make life easy – solid granite counter with breakfast bar, new wood cabinets with plenty of storage, microwave/convection oven, smooth cook-top, refrigerator with ice-maker, toaster oven, blender, coffee-maker, espresso/cappuccino machine, and Belgian waffle-maker.
The top floor is the master bedroom suite with a second renovated full bathroom and a gorgeous ocean view to enjoy right from our comfortable King-size bed! If more sleeping space is needed, there is a Queen sleeper-sofa in the master suite sitting area. There is another large flat screen TV and cable upstairs.
To make sure you’re connected to the outside world (if you want;), we offer Broadband Wi-Fi throughout the condo (that can accommodate multiple devices at one time), a large flat screen TV with cable on each floor, and an AT&T cell phone for local and US calls.
We can arrange for pre-ordered grocery delivery – just let us know what you need.
Amenities at Sapphire Beach Resort and Marina…
You'll have no shortage of options as you plan your day. Go for a swim, nap on the sand, snorkel right off the beach, volleyball, parasailing, rent a Wave Runner, go for a PADI dive, snorkeling tour, or a deep sea fishing charter from the Sapphire Marina just steps away...the day is yours to relax and enjoy as you wish in the warm Caribbean sun...and that’s just at Sapphire Beach!!!
As part of your package, you'll have full use of the owner's chaise lounges on the beach and we provide outside games, floats and noodles, and snorkeling equipment.
If you feel like something other than the beach, Sapphire also offers a multi-level cascading freshwater pool on the edge of the Caribbean Sea.
Currently at Sapphire, the “Sapphire Grill” offers food, soda and freezy drinks (located next to the dive shop) and also provides beach service, so you don’t even need to get out of your chair:). If you’re really tired after the day, Senor Pizza delivers to Sapphire.
We are blessed with one of the most pleasant climates in the world, which is kept comfortable year round by gentle trade winds – the average daytime summer temperatures are around 85° and 80° during winter months. The great thing is that Americans don’t need a passport – all of this beauty is part of the United States.
There are numerous options of things to see and do on St. Thomas and the surrounding islands, including the many beaches (the real gems of the Caribbean), Mahogany Run golf course with the “Devil’s Triangle”, shopping in Charlotte Amalie (each visitor can take up to $1,600 worth of duty-free imports), the restaurants, and excursions out of Sapphire Marina and Red Hook. Once you book your stay, we will send you our “Villa Bonne Vie Guest Guidebook” that provides information on our condo and suggestions on the island.
Whether you want to sample all of the Islands or just relax with family and friends, our condo offers it all. Relax and enjoy the comfort and ambiance of Villa Bonne Vie that is guaranteed to provide a good life and make you wish you never had to leave!
After traveling to numerous Caribbean islands, my husband and I found our jewel! Even in the best hotels, we could never get as close to the ocean as we have at our Sapphire condo. We invite you to enjoy the splendor of Sapphire Beach from Villa Bonne Vie - if it's beauty you want...you won't be disappointed.
Please note - the REAL attraction at Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina is the ocean right out front! As many have mentioned, the restaurants on-site are closed (except for the Banana Cabana during the day). This is a condominium complex, as such Sapphire is more low-key than a resort and each unit is individually owned and maintained. If you want bars and parties, this IS NOT the place for you. If you want Paradise, Villa Bonne Vie IS the place for you!!!
We traveled to St. Thomas for a wedding in late October. This condo was clean, modern, up-to-date, and well equipped. My husband snorkeled with the equipment in the downstairs closet at least twice a day. The beach was beautiful. I saw a sting ray just feet away while I was standing in the water. We especially enjoyed the Mahi sandwiches at the little bar/tiki hut by the beach. The owner supplied a very thorough handbook that was quite helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay - very relaxing!
My wife and I stayed in Villa Bonne Vie recently and had an incredible time. The condo has been updated with all modern appliances and is very tastefully decorated. Having the bedroom upstairs and the kitchen downstairs allowed my wife to get up early and watch the beautiful sunrise right from the balcony while still letting me sleep peacefully upstairs. We will definitely plan our next St Thomas vacation around when this condo is available!
My husband and I rented this lovely condo at Sapphire Beach and we could not have asked for anything more. We were traveling with two other couples who had their own accommodations at the resort but Villa Bonne Vie offered plenty of room and all the amenities for us to host fun evenings with our friends. We are not newcomers to the island but this was our first time staying on Sapphire Beach. If we had one complaint, it would be that we couldn't stay longer. Thanks Christina!
Beautiful two story beach Villa with very impressive views. Very clean and well-kept. We found everything exactly as described. All the extras (condiments, towels, coolers, snorkel gear, beach bags, etc.,) made it so much easier to sit back and enjoy the island life here. For our family of 5 there was plenty of room. Kids loved to eat outside on the lower balcony... and the wife and I couldn't get enough of the sunrises with a cup of coffee on the upper deck every morning. Having 2 full bathrooms was a huge plus and the Kitchen was fully stocked with just about everything needed. Great location right on the beach, not to mention the short two minute drive to Red Hook and the Ferries to St John. Have to give Christina another 5 stars for the Villa guide she sent upon booking. Loaded with all the information you need for your stay, plus some really great snorkeling tips. Thank you again for having us all in your slice of paradise... it was definitely a vacation none of us will forget... and we will certainly be looking forward to getting back on island time at Villa Bonnie Vie again.
The condo was exactly as described with two exceptions. The portable phone advertised and the safe were both non-functioning. Thankfully we had added a limited number of global minutes to our Verizon account (Verizon is the only network that is not included in your domestic plan).
The condo was beautiful and well stocked. The two balconies were used frequently, and the view was fabulous. Chairs were provided, and there was ample shade. Be forewarned that the chairs are picked up by 6 pm; this condo itself actually had chairs that we took to several beaches. Air conditioning was great!
Red Hook is less than 5 minutes away, and this is where we did our food shopping and had several dinners on the water. We agree with a previous reviewer - take the people ferry rather than the car barge to St. John. Trunk Bay was the best - pick a non-cruise day and bring your snorkel equipment. Other stand-outs were Magens Bay and Secret Harbor (had a great lunch here as well as went swimming).
We hope to return to St. Thomas someday, and will definitely stay here again! The owner was very responsive, and her on-site contact, Jean, was very helpful.
We had never been to St. Thomas so we didn't know what to expect. Villa Bonne Vie was exactly as advertised: clean, updated (kitchen and bathrooms!), great views of Sapphire beach, and local support with a property manager on-site. We were very pleased with the property - for our family of 5, it works out so much better than a hotel room with just 2 beds. We even bought some food at the local "Costco"-type grocery and had breakfast at the villa each day and grilled steaks one night after a long day in St. John. It was perfect to sit on the patio, watch the beachgoers, and have a great steak dinner.
The location was excellent as Red Hook is just 2 minutes down the road, so when we wanted to eat out, we did that. We also were just 25 minutes to the zip line and 20 minutes to Megan's Bay (where we spent a whole day in the calm and pristine water). Megan's Bay cost $25 to park, but it was well worth it to avoid crowds - we even found a table at the on-site restaurant for the 5 of us to eat lunch, which almost never happens in more crowded places. It was just all very relaxing.
One recommendation - do not take the car ferry to St. John. It costs a lot of money and you end up waiting a long time for the ferry and it's a bit stressful worrying whether they will have room for you or if you need to wait for the next one (another hour!). Take the person-ferry and then use your money to take a cab to the various beaches. You'll get better utilization of both your time and money that way.
